We loved the space and the proximity to the beach. Easy access to the pool, too! It was a fun teacher trip to celebrate another successful year in the classroom!
Everything is done well here including all the little things. Clean and well managed. Shortest walk to the beach and your vehicle. Convenient in everyway!
I loved looking out the sliding back or and seeing the beach and smelling the salt air. We enjoyed our stay even though it was short, itâs a wonderful memory.
The room was perfect for the size of our party. It was clean upon our arrival. The kitchen was well stocked with the needed cookware. The view from our balcony was breathtaking. We loved our stay.
There were three couples in our group. The property was comfortable and spacious. The condo was in a quiet private beach area, but still close to everything we wanted to do. We enjoyed the outside patio and availability to grill. Beautiful sunrise, shelling, and sunsets!
The only downside is there are only 2 parking spots with no real options for parking a 3rd car. Since it wasnât busy we negotiated to park one at the Caribe marina approximately .8 miles away. Outside of that, not sure what we wouldâve done. Condo is great & will stay again!
Marlin Key 1A was just as pictured and even better. The condo is in the perfect location and the access to the beach is a very short walk unlike many other places we have stayed. The condo was clean, very spacious and every room basically has its on bathroom which was awesome. The master suite is VERY big with a VERY big bathroom. There were 10 of us and we had plenty of room to move around and be comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped which was very nice. I would definitely stay here again for ver and over.
This condo is in a perfect location at a great area of Perdido/Orange Beach. The condo had plenty of space for our party of 6 adults. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware which made it easy to cook our meals. The bedding and pillows were fairly old and should probably be replaced. The fridge is large and has a water dispenser (such a great addition), but the handle to the door to the freezer often falls off. Other than those details, the condo is great and we would stay there again.
We loved the small condo complex only being 4 floors and on the first floor it was quick to get to the pool and beach. The condo was very nice and spacious. Our only complaint was there was not enough seating on the patio and one of the chairs is still broken down the back. We saw previous reviews mention this. We also only received 2 kitchen trash bags which I guess is standard for vacasa properties? I would bring more kitchen trash bags if you are filling all three bedrooms! We had a great time if youâre wanting to eat out you will have to drive most places it is a quick walk to Florabama beach bar. We would recommend this place!
Was kind of confusing when I first arrive the access code did not work so I Called the Vacasa and could not get anyone to answer by phone or by text for over 45 mins. after some finally texted me back but I had gotten in by then.
Our family of 5 adults thought the unit was very comfortable and it had everything we needed for an excellent stay. We loved that it was right on the beach and we were able to arrange our weekly chair and umbrella set up the first day we were there. Then we could sleep in every morning, knowing that when we got up, our set up was ready for us. No rushing down to the beach to save our spots! It was very secure, and our numbered parking spot was just under the building. The beds all had great mattresses and the air conditioning was able to keep up with the 90 degree days during our stay. You might want to pack blankets, but thatâs a good problem!! The complex had some plumbing work going on but we had no issues and the manager gave us a heads up when they would need to turn the water off for short periods. All the staff we encountered was pleasant and professional. The unit will need a deep cleaning and updated decor soon, but was perfect for our needs.
Overall we did enjoy our stay but it did lack convenience (2 trash bags for a 3 day stay and several people) The walkway is covered in sand and no longer an easy wooden walkway like pictured. None of the tvs are smart tvs so youâre not able to wind down the evening with a movie on your typical streaming service. MOST frustratingly, the main patio door did not lock, we were on the first floor with kids and felt very unsafe leaving the property without being able to lock up and going to sleep. Tile floors needed a deep clean
The location of this condo is PERFECT!! There was a total of 10 of us - 6 adults and 4 kids. It was nice being on the first floor so when we wanted to go to the pool or the beach, it wasn't a long trek down the stairs or the elevator with all of our water toys, towels, drinks, etc. The view from our balcony was beautiful! We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the ocean and the sunset. The condo is decorated nicely and was spacious enough for our entire group.
As much as I want to give this condo a higher rating, I was really turned off by the lack of cleaning and customer support. When we arrive Saturday evening, we did not have any parking passes. Vacasa clearly stated that the parking passes would be in the condo when we arrived. After multiple calls, emails and texts, I was told that if I wanted the parking passes, I would have to go pick them up myself. After driving 14 hours and spending thousands of dollars to rent this place, this was not the service I was expecting and definitely not the way I wanted to start my vacation. We were worried about our cars being towed, so we went and picked up the parking passes, as the customer service representative told me they do not reimburse customers and were not responsible if we were towed, even though Vacasa neglected to provide the parking passes. With the traffic in Orange Beach, it took us over an hour to retrieve the passes.
In addition to the parking passes, there were a few other issues:
- Cleanliness: the kitchen had food crumbs leftover in some of the drawers and one of the bathrooms did not appear cleaned at all. I notified Vacasa about the dirty bathroom. About 24 hours later they sent someone to clean. She said there was definitely a lot of mold and our bathroom would need a deep clean, but it would not be done until after our stay.
- Functionality and Safety: the handle to the freezer door kept falling off. I notified Vacasa, but no one ever responded. We were able to reattach it. One of the patio chairs was broken. The sliding back door was incredibly difficult to open. The track that the door slides on was very dirty, so I'm assuming that's why it was so hard to slide open. In addition, it would not lock. With little kids staying with us, this was a safety concern.
Bedding and towels: While the beds were comfortable, the wrong size sheets were placed on one of the King size beds. We looked all over the condo and could not find another set of sheets. A Full size set of sheets had been placed on a King size bed. We also did not have enough towels for all 10 of us. We notified customer service and about 24 hours later, they brought new sheets and more towels.
A few suggestions:
- Provide a hair dryer in all the bathrooms. With all the stuff we had to bring for the condo (kitchen stuff, bathroom stuff, etc) it would be nice to have had this provided.
- Offer recycling. It felt very wasteful throwing away so much paper, plastic, glass and aluminum. Being on the ocean, in a beach town, I would hope that conservation and recycling would be a priority.
All in all, my family had a great trip to Orange Beach. We loved the location of this condo, and would visit again if cleaning standards are improved and attention to details (like providing the right size bed sheets and enough towels) are done. And of course, customer service should always be a priority.
