Secluded on 1.5 wooded acres, this beautiful genuine log cabin has seasonal mountain views and access to the Chattahoochee River. Minutes from Helen, Ga. tubing on the Chattahoochee, Unicoi State Park. Within 10 minutes of local award-winning wineries: Yonah Mountain Vineyards, Serenity Cellars, and Cenitas Vineyards, to name a few. Take a hike or go mountain biking at nearby Yonah Mountain Preserve. Helen has all the entertainment you need for the whole family: Georgia Mountain Coaster, Water Park, Zip Lines, and mini golf. Don't forget to visit Baby Land General in Cleveland!

Enjoy cooking in the large eat-in kitchen. The table seats 8, plus 3 bar stools. Fiber Optic high speed internet just installed! Work remotely and enjoy all the North Georgia Mountains has to offer. Reading nook upstairs for the kids to play with toys, read or write. Master bedroom has a private balcony facing the mountains . Cozy living room with plenty of space, and separate sitting room. Three large bedrooms upstairs give plenty of sleeping space. The basement has an air hockey table, poker/game table, ping pong, foosball and safety dartboard. Cornhole can be used inside or outdoors.

The cabin has generous deck space to enjoy the view while having a BBQ, (charcoal grill provided) relaxing in the brand new Hot Tub or having a glass of wine. Take a stroll down to the fire pit and relax in the comfortable adirondak chairs while toasting marshmallows. Now that cooler weather is here, cozy up under our weighted blankets on each bed.

This is a beautiful setting you can enjoy all year long. Easy access roads to this cabin.

The pictures of this property do not do it justice. I am the cooker for the family and the kitchen had everything I needed. The fire pit was awesome with a sighting of deer running in the woods. The basement was great with table games to keep the kids entertained. If we come back to visit this area we will stay here again. This is the most beautiful VRBO we have stayed in. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Great Summer Getaway

We had a blast on our vacation to helen. The black bear lodge was the perfect cozy place to come back to after a long day. So much fun stuff to do at the house too when we were too lazy to get out. Looked playing games and making smores with the kiddos!

Great location to Helen and hikes in the mountains.

Our family had a wonderful time in the cabin. It was so cozy and the mattresses were super comfortable. I especially loved seeing all the deer walk by the house.

Beautiful cabin with all the amenities we wanted (fire pit, hot tub, grill) and lots of extras provided by the owners. They were quick to respond to questions, and we had a great stay. Couldn’t ask for more!

Cozy Place

This propertnis nestled amongst the trees on a quiet street. We enjoyed all the space and the room bedrooms. Nice amenities for our grandkids. We liked that itnwas close to alot of things tondo.

Great place to stay. Comfort and room to enjoy. Owner very responsive to your needs. Conveniently located outside of Helen. Enjoyed the wildlife and scenery. Beds are okay but need replacing soon. Overall a great stay and vacation spot.

Christmas in Helen

We really enjoyed the cabin. It was beautiful, secluded and very clean. I can’t say enough how beautiful it was. The rooms were spacious and the house was really stocked with towels , wash cloths etc. The hot tub and huge deck was awesome. Short drive to Helen.

Black Bear Lodge has EVERYTHING!

The hosts thought of EVERYTHING! The cabin is relatively easy to get to, close to all of the fun stuff and is fully stocked with all the things you will need for an amazing time. Hot water is plentiful, hot tub was so relaxing and easy to operate and the s’mores by the fire pit was divine. Pet friendly with plenty of room, we would definitely book this again.

Better than advertised

This property is way bigger and more spacious than the pictures show. The kitchen is the best stocked kitchen I’ve ever seen - it had a crockpot and even a stand mixer. The owner is very very nice, responsive and accommodating. Loved it! We will be back!

Great Cabin, very clean, has everything

This cabin was wonderful, it has everything you need and more. Very clean and charming. Bigger than it looks. We loved the hot tub and games downstairs. The drive to Helen was short. Love all the bear decorations and the big ceiling fan in the master was just cool. Enjoyed our stay.

Coziest of Cabins

We loved our stay! We needed a place that could accommodate our out of town family of 7 to sleep as well as allow for a few local family members to gather for an early Christmas celebration and meal. The main floor has two-lovely living spaces for kids and adults to relax and enjoy playing games. Our girls learned to play checkers thanks to the board the host provided and we couldn't pull them away. The Christmas tree was an especially nice touch for us to tuck our presents under. It really helped us feel like we were celebrating the holidays at home. The place was very clean, lots of towels, coffee and tons of kitchen amenities that were very much appreciated. Susie's place is 5 star!

Clean, comfortable and well-appointed

This was the cleanest cabin we’ve ever rented - possibly cleanest property period. Way more than surface clean and no unpleasant cleaning supply odors either. Not a small accomplishment in any structure, let alone one that is not brand new. It was also remarkably well-appointed with all the basic supplies (aside from food) you could need. TONS of fresh, fluffy towels, baskets of clean flannel blankets, etc etc. Game room reminded me of my grandparents’ basement in New England but not in a bad way! That classic smell melange of cinder block, wood and shop supplies brought me back. We really enjoyed our stay, brief as it was, and will be back if we stay in the Helen area again.

North Georgia

This property was exactly as advertised. Nice peaceful quiet area. The owners were more than accommodating to our needs and wishes and went out of their way to do so. Very easy and pleasant to work with. Leaves were very colorful and the view from the hot tub on the back deck was spectacular. Great location for seeing or doing just about anything in the N. GA mountains. We were within a 20-30 minute drive for great food, great hikes and auto touring to see the fall colors. The only drawback was there was not enough time to do all the things we would liked to have done. I guess that means another trip to the mountains and this cabin will be high on our list when we do so. Thanks Susie and Tony for a wonderful week in your cabin. Scott & Cindy Louisiana Geaux Tigers!

Mountain getaway

My family had a fantastic holiday weekend staying in this cabin. It has everything you want and more. We seen a lot of deer on the property. My granddaughters both had a great time. We rode the Pegasus Carriage ride and the Georgia Coaster. We also hiked the Anna Ruby Falls. It was nice to make beautiful memories with my family. We plan to return next fall.
