Serenity on the Suwannee

Take some time to relax and watch the river and your cares roll away. Home has high speed fiber internet. The front porch overlooks the Suwannee river and faces west for perfect sunsets while listening to the sounds of nature. This two bedroom one bath cottage has 4 acres of fully fenced land that is yours exclusively. Stroll the grounds and look for deer, rabbit or in the evening lighting bugs. Take a trip to the many springs that the area has to offer for swimming or world class cave diving.
This whole house rental is on stilts and has a wrap around porch so you can get 360 degree views!
Guest access
Parking is in the large roped-off area in the house. Please do not take down the ropes. Damage to the septic tank could occur.
Other things to note
There is a $300 deposit and a rental agreement will need to be signed before the gate and front door code are sent to you.
The address, gate code, and front door code will be sent to you no more than 24 hrs in advance of your reservation.
The house is on stilts so you will have to go up a flight of stairs to get in/out of the house.
The Suwannee River's current is very strong. Host/Owner/Serenity on the Suwannee is not liable for any injury if guests choose to swim in the river. There are many close springs that are close and are a great place for swimming.
There are 3 external cameras on premises. One on each set of stairs, and a third on the northwest corner of the house facing the river access gate.

Serenity on the Suwannee lived up to its name! We enjoyed a peaceful 4 days listening to the birds and cicadas, watching fish, deer, and fireflies, and exploring local springs. The property is beautifully kept, very family-friendly, and well stocked with every-day necessities. Our 2-year-old and 4-year old enjoyed running the lawn while my husband and I swung in the hammock with the baby, and we all enjoyed watching the thunderstorms from under the house. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

February get away

We stayed at Serenity on the Suwannee for the entire month of Feb. to get away from the cold weather in MN.Its a wonderful property, very comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the springs and hiking in the area. We would recommend this property to anyone who wants a quiet peaceful place to stay. The outdoor living space under the house is very nice, we watched tv out there most evenings.R & T

Our stay was great, the house was comfortable and all as expected.. we enjoy the sunsets and all the amenities. We loved the downstairs seating area and spent a good time by the fire ring as a couple of nights it hit 30 degrees
 we got to see Deer..and Turkeys near the property and watch the river flow

Peaceful and Scenic

We stayed the month of Feb. and couldn't be more pleased with everything. Enjoyed coffee in the mornings and cocktails in the evening on the porch overlooking the river. We live on the Mississippi river in Northern MN so felt right at home. Dave was very responsive and helpful in our communications. The home was as described online. We plan on booking again for Feb. 2025. R & T

Perfect getaway!

It was serenity indeed on the Suwannee. The location was secluded and incredibly quiet-- the porch was a dream to rock on and it was wonderful to have so many outdoor games and board games, too. We all had AT&T and for what it's worth, we couldn't make phone calls as we got barely any cell service-- the WiFi was quite slow as well. This didn't bother us as we were on a real vacation and didn't need to be active on our computers, but if anyone plans to work while at the property, maybe bring a hotspot if you need hi speed internet. (The streaming services worked no problem on the television.) We hope to come again- we had a wonderful time and the owners were lightening fast in their communication. A one-of-a kind property for sure!

Exactly what we needed. Very private and secluded. Well kept home with basically everything you would need for a getaway on the Suwannee. Dave is very responsive and the check-in process went flawlessly.

Secluded

This is a very secluded place with a fenced in yard which was nice for the boys to be able to play outside safely. We enjoyed playing corn hole and sitting on the front porch looking at the river. We enjoyed our time there.

Absolutely perfect!

This was a girl's weekend with my Sisters and my Mom, and this house on the river could not have been more perfect! We had everything we needed, the view from the huge wrap around porch is awesome! Quiet, beautiful setting!

We enjoyed our stay. The location of the home is extremely private. The view of the river is beautiful. The owner made sure we had everything we needed. There were plenty of towels, blankets, and dishes along with a nice selection of coffee and some toiletries. The home is decorated throughout in a coastal theme. They even included a small lighted Christmas tree! There are two areas of the home that do need attention. The shower doors should be replaced or at the very least, thoroughly cleaned. We were surprised to see them in such poor condition. The other thing is, all of the baseboards need to be cleaned and painted. This is a beautiful home. We hope the owner won’t allow these details to continue to detract from the home’s appearance.
