Good day Sunshine is a picture perfect 4-bedroom log home situated in the middle of 32 acres of solitude. Gated entrance is a half mile off HYW 321 and approximately 20 minutes South of Main Street Blowing Rock. This log home backs up to the Pisgah National Forest and offers the perfect setting for explorers, families, and large friend gatherings of all kinds. Easy 2-step access into the main level will greet you with vaulted ceilings, a large stone fireplace, and lovely stone accents throughout. The gourmet kitchen features a large island with 3 seats, double ovens, and a gas range! There is a dining table adjacent to the kitchen that will seat 8 guests. The spacious master bedroom is located on the main level and offers a comfortable king bed and ensuite luxurious bathroom with a tiled walk-in shower, separate vanities, and a soaking tub. Upstairs there are two additional bedrooms, both with queen beds each with private bathrooms. The loft area offers an office / reading area and twin daybed for little ones! On the lower level of the home sits the fourth bedroom that has a queen bed and bunk beds. There is an assortment of entertainment including a foosball table, ping pong table and chess game table/checkers, assortment of games in and outdoor.
The deck overlooks gorgeous southern 4 layered long-range views of the mountains. Whether you are an early riser or a night owl, this is the perfect place to watch the sun rise or set... or perhaps both! The hot tub is also located on the deck and is the perfect spot to relax after a long day of hiking. There is also a gas fire table on the deck for the chilly nights. Get ready to make the best memories with friends and family. This property will leave you wanting more and anxious to return!
There are paved roads leading to the home however, due to the very steep driveway it is required that guests arrive in AWD or 4WD vehicles during winter months. Chains may also be necessary during inclement weather.
Enough parking space for up to 6 vehicles.
Additional notes:
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
