I love being a local but have the comforts of home when I travel. This place offers both. The convenience of locals showing and advising things to do without resort style vacationing. You really get to experience how Dominicans live and enjoy life. This place has the mist beautiful gardens and relaxed atmospher.
This property is off the beaten path but is wonderful and quaint! Beautiful gardens with lots of private nooks to relax in. Very secure with on site security. Naomi cooked a great dinner and breakfast and Frank was very helpful in arranging transportation.

When I bought this property there was only a little wooden house on it that the owners dismantled and took with them when they sold it. There was a mango and Euguero Tree, everything else now on the property I planted and had built. the name SANA came to me while visiting Saana in Yemen in 1998 and thought that that would be a good name for a business should I ever have one as it stands for Sharon Ann Nickerson & associates. Thus SANA which happens to mean "heal" in Spanish from the verb sanar "to heal." el Jardin Secreto means "the Secreto Garden." in English from the story by the same name. A garden that had laid waste being tranformed in to a vibrant, alive and beautiful place of peace and tranquility.
A "Get Away" from the city hustle and bustle, noise and pollution. Quiet garden retreat. We have held weddings, reunions and Birthday parties complete with Payaso Peter ( Peter the Clown). Missionairies as well have come to stay on SANA.
