Sitting just a two blocks away from the popular Mission Bay boardwalk you can have your toes in the water within minutes. Just a couple blocks away in the opposite direction is the sandy shoreline of the iconic Mission Beach where you can take in the surf of the Pacific Ocean. Great beach condo. Perfectly situated between beach and bay and right next to a small park. Beds were comfortable and kitchen well stocked. Would definitely stay here again.

HOT WATER DID NOT WORK OUR ENTIRE 3 NIGHT STAY!

At first glance the property is new and feels fresh and nice. There are a few minor things that need attention, and I was fine overlooking and not mentioning these, but we had a horrible experience with the hot water and attempting to have it fixed. The longest amount of time the hot water would work while taking a shower was 2 minutes, and after a couple 2 minute showers, it would quit working all together. We made sure to only use one shower at a time and not run the dishwasher or washing machine while attempting to shower. The instant hot water heater in the garage would beep and show an error. I messaged via the app, called their emergency line, and texted. Eventually someone responded and said they would have it fixed. The next day we were gone all day, but I was told someone came and it was now working. It was not working-it was exactly the same as the first day. I texted again, asking for it to be fixed. I sent pictures of the error code flashing in the garage and again was told someone would come to fix it. Again, we were gone all day, and I was told someone came again. The hot water was never fixed. I was told I would receive compensation for the problems. I asked about the compensation a couple weeks after our trip, and was told they'd look into it. Now, a week later, while typing this review, I just received a small amount of compensation. If I could go back in time, I would reach out to VRBO as soon as the hot water didn't work, and ask to be moved to a new home. The amount of compensation given was not worth the inconvenience of not having hot water and spending my time trying to track down someone to fix the issue. A previous review also mentions the hot water not working, but the management company failed to fixed the issue between their stay and ours. Do not stay here if you want hot water. Minor things: the information paper on the refrigerator with wifi and garage codes is inaccurate, the window in the master bedroom does not close all the way and you can hear the traffic all night long, the written description states the master bedroom has a king bed-it has a queen bed, we never did figure out what the garage code was and always had to use the front door, some of the windows were missing blinds and other blinds were inoperable.

No hot water for 24 hours

The hot water heater stopped working on our 2nd day. After an afternoon call to management, the hot water was not restored for 24 hours, resulting in all of us taking cold showers. The garage door code panel broke. The ice maker was not hooked up in the freezer, and there were no ice trays, resulting in us having to buy bags of ice. The batteries in the remote for the living room TV were dead. The neighborhood was nice, great location to the beach.

Great location

The property is new and I was skeptical when booking since there weren't any reviews yet. The photos were nice and I feel they accurately reflect the property. This was a great stay for 4 adults and 1 child. I could see this being nice for 2 couples with a few kids as well. It's got the 2 upstairs rooms which is great for 2 couples or friends and the downstairs has the bed bunks which works for 2 adults. The couch isn't necessarily a spot for overnight sleep, but I guess you can depending on the level for comfort you expect. It's a beautiful, modern property, but has basics. The kitchen has everything you need to make meals. It's got a handful of beach towels, chairs, coolers and toys to take to the beach which was nice (I'd add that to the listing since we weren't sure and brought a lot of our own things). There wasn't any laundry detergent so I'd consider bringing some if you need it. The patios were awesome spots to relax. At check out, we took our trash out but the cans weren't marked so I recommend the owners mark it to avoid confusion. One con about the place is the amount of stairs. I'd be mindful of this is you have elders or folks with limited mobility. The main rooms and restrooms are upstairs, so I'd avoid this property if that is an issue for anyone in your party. The best thing about this unit was the location. The property was closer to the beach than the public restrooms, that's how close it is. By far the best thing about the place! Lots around to walk to, eat and hang at Belmont Park.
