Perfect family house!

We loved this place for our 3 Gen family and dog. The pool was beautiful, the house was spacious and well set up, with plenty of towels, dishes, even fishing gear and kayaks. We loved it and would definitely rent again. Close to some terrific restaurants and right on the water.

Beautiful area and accommodates large group

Overall we enjoyed the stay at Hibiscus House. The pool area was beautiful, however access to the pool is tricky..a metal spiral staircase. The home is decorated nicely, tons of towels and kitchen stuff. Lots of comfortable beds.

Would Stay Here Again Without Question

This is a great place to stay. Whatever issues we had, which were minor, the property manager took care of immediately. If you want a stress free vacation location, this is it! Book it today, then get ready for some great fun!

Beautiful home

My family and friends and their families had the best time! The channel was perfect for our older kids to fish and kayak and our littles absolutely loved the pool!! The house was big enough that we didn’t feel we were on top of each other and Yael was absolutely wonderful to work with!! Would definitely recommend staying in one of her properties!

Anniversary Celebration

Our 2 daughters, their spouses and children joined us to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The house and premises were exactly as shown & described in the listing. The 10 of us were comfortable in the living space, bedrooms & kitchen areas. The pool was enjoyed by all as were the kayaks! With the hectic lifestyle most of us live today, this house & grounds enabled our family to reconnect & make some wonderful memories.

In desperate need of maintenance

My family stayed here over the memorial day holiday. The house is nice and was clean but seems like a lot of things were neglected. 2 of the 4 showers did not work properly. One had either scorching hot or ice cold water obviously the valve was broken. The other only worked sporadically. The pool was dirty, the water was so cloudy I couldn't see the bottom which was a big disappointment because the kids were really looking forward to swimming and one of the main reasons we chose this rental. We decided to grill out on the gas grill in the back yard, to start with there were no grill utensils and while preheating the grill it caught fire due to a missing heat deflector inside of the grill and the grease build up from not being cleaned fortunately I was able to get the gas shut off but it continued to burn the grease for another 10 or so minutes we were all scurrying around the house looking for a fire extinguisher with no luck.The handrail on the upper balcony is the biggest and most dangerous problem we had. The handrail is there but all of the posts were rotted off at the bottom, some still hanging on by a thread. When you put weight against the rail it wobbles back and forth thankfully there is a screened enclosure on the outside of the rail, enough to keep the rail from falling over but definitely not enough to hold the weight of a person leaning against it.I contacted the homeowner with these issues and did not get much help. Would not recommend this one

Great retreat for a big family

My family takes a vacation every summer, usually to a gulf beach area. This year traveling with 11 people we looked outside our normal areas for something affordable. We loved this listing for all the extras it offered, being on the canal with free use of water toys such as kayaks and paddle boats in addition to a beautiful pool sounded like a great choice for a family with kids ranging in age from 8-23. While I was a little disappointed by the “beach” in the area, that’s my bad, I should have done more research or maybe have known, the recreational activities advertised were a hit for our party. Having different activities right out the back door allowed people to do different things but still be together. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this house and all these extras were all we hoped they’d be. As for the house itself, getting to it and in it was a breeze. There was plenty of parking for 4 vehicles. I think the listed number it sleeps was a bit of a stretch but we made it work and there was plenty of space for air mattresses. It was clean and spacious. Multi-level decks provided lots of places for reading and solitude and as mentioned before the pool/dock area was a great place to relax and play all day. The kitchen could use a few more tools and dishes but we made it work. It’s vacation, not home, so I always expect to be a bit creative. All in all this was a great stay and I’d probably stay there again provided I adjust my idea of what the beach is. Thanks so much for helping my family make lasting memories.

Hernando beach

Perfect location, the house was very spacious. Perfect outdoor space. The house is older but that did not affect our enjoyment of the house. It was nice to be able to use the kayaks, the kids enjoyed fishing on the dock. The kitchen lacks some of the needed dishes but we got by just fine. Found a few bugs but it is a house in Florida, so it is be expected!

Family Vacation

The house was wonderful. I had all my adult children there and the home offered enough space that we weren’t on top of one another. We had a great time and enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Definitely would consider returning.

Perfect Getaway For Our Large Family!

Our ((extra)) large family consisting of 5 adults, 5 teenagers, and 4 kids had a great stay! :) plenty of space for everyone and also nice large common areas. Heated pool and hot tub were a hit! As well as the four kayaks available at the property.

Great family getaway

Great spot for our entire extended family to stay. Lots of room and fun for ages 10-55. Close to activities like kayaking Weeki Wachee where we say manatee. Kids and adults enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

Amazing House

We were in town to celebrate a 100th birthday. This house is so big and allowed all us adults to spread out - plenty of sleeping options. Multiple decks and areas to work if you need to and great place to congregate if you are visiting with extended family. Even an open loft area to practice yoga with provided HDMI cable to connect laptop to big screen!! The owners were so gracious providing us with extra blankets and heaters when the temperature unexpectedly dropped a couple of the days. What is great is how quickly it then warms up. Just a wonderful house in a lovely quiet neighborhood and great hosts.

Summer family vaca 2024

We just returned from another family vacation and made it thru our first hurricane!! This year we stayed at the Hibiscus House and it was wonderful! Very clean, plenty of room, and furnished with the things we needed for our week. Plenty of towels, dishes, and glassware. if you plan on baking you may want to bring a mixing bowl and 9x13 pans. We were able to easily pick up disposable ones at the Dollar General nearby. There is a nice sized playroom that can easily be used as another bedroom if you bring an air mattress. Our grandkids loved the pool and fishing. Lots of shopping nearby but it was a drive to other attractions. We wouldn’t hesitate to return !

Fun!

The only complaint would be that it could have been a little cleaner but wasn’t awful. Also some shower issues with water not being hot for showers. But we had an amazing time and our favorite thing was the kayaks! The neighborhood is amazing! Some parts of the house need updating/repair (broken door handle, container that holds life vest was falling apart) but overall the house is huge and decorated very nice and I would definitely stay here again!

Great vacation home!

Our family recently stayed at this property for a week. The home is very nice with much open space. Our family does a vacation every 2 years and our group agreed this was the best vacation home we're rented. The host was very responsive to questions before, during, and after our rental was complete.

Family Reunion

My adult children and adult grandchildren are scattered. From SanDiego , New Jersey, Port st LucyFL, Manhattan,NY , and Washington DC. The house was beautiful inside there was plenty of room to accommodate this large group. A wonderful kitchen (we are eat at home folks! A balcony with pleanty of seating overlooking the pool and spa lovely at night! No complaints from anyone! It was a fabulous stay! Thank you. There is plenty to do for entertainment and grocery stores close by!

Great Spot for a family vacation

We had our family reunion at this beautiful park from 5/31/24 through 6/3/24. It was just as advertised. Plenty of room for our 13 people. The house was great. The pool and spa did not disappoint. The canal was wonderful for kayaking and fishing. And the owner, Yael, was great to work with.. We will definitely return.

Wonderful weekend getaway!!

I booked this house with a few friends and family for my 35th birthday weekend! I literally just wanted to relax in a pool and enjoy the weekend, and this property did not disappoint at all. The kayaks are a special touch too and were fun to use. The house was clean, the neighbors were friendly, there was enough parking. The house set up is great. Everything was clean and easy to find. The owners were great the very few times I reached out, quick to respond too, we are looking at booking here again with just family later this year!
