Fully furnished brand new villa in a new exciting area within walking distance to the pool and the new Ezzell Recreation Center. The bright and airy, yet cozy interior will make you feel right at home and the open floor plan is perfect for those seeking convenience.
The master bath comes with a walk-in closet and walk-in shower with sliding glass doors. The kitchen provides plenty of cabinet storage space along with a nice sized pantry closet. The living room sofa is a sleeper in case you have family visiting. There is a 55-inch TV in the living room and each bedroom has its own TV. The 400-MB internet ensures hassle-free access.
The garage has parking for both a car and a golf cart. The gas cart is included in the rental. You can sit on the front porch and enjoy meeting the residents in this friendly neighborhood where there are ongoing activities to meet up during the week. The Aviary Recreation Center is just a mile away and has a family pool for children and young people. The Publix grocery store is just five minutes away and Brownwood is just ten minutes away.
Landscaping is professionally maintained and the grass is mowed weekly. Come and enjoy our newly installed lanai at the front porch.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. A product of the New York City public school system, my childhood was one of being on the playground playing all kinds of sports whenever I had free time and meeting all kinds of people, young and old, day in and day out and learning about life. To this day I try to visit whenever I can to remind myself of my roots.
After retiring in 2019 as a high level university administrator in DC , I moved to Saint Augustine, Florida and pursued my post-retirement dream of living close to the beach and doing real estate on the side as a realtor and investor. I also do some consulting work, the newest project is working with a not-for-profit group in New Jersey who want to set up senior housing for deaf and hard of hearing people.
I enjoy traveling, cooking (and eating) gourmet food and collecting wine. A former competitive racquetball player, I keep fit by working out, outdoor activities, and am determined to become competitive in a new sport - pickleball. I am also planning to get back into golf, which I stopped playing years back due to work schedule demands in my "former life." For the first time, I got a dog and much to my surprise, I love playing with Taz, who has as much energy as his namesake.
Adrienne and I enjoy our intertwined life with two teenage girls, Ada and Ava, not to mention our two cats, Hula and Honey, who have become accustomed to Taz and his high energy. At 18, Hula is clearly the undisputed leader in our domestic jungle and Honey and Taz give her a wide berth. I have two older girls. Allison is a software engineer in San Diego and just bought her first house there. Bethany works in Portland, Oregon as a culinary specialist in a senior citizen center. She bought her first home there recently.
My goals in life are to spend time with family and friends (including my 88 year-old dad who is doing great in Brooklyn), travel with Adrienne and walk on the beach often and appreciate what I have.

I have many friends who live in The Villages. After visiting a few times, I became fascinated with The Villages as both a place where one can permanently reside or make The Villages their second home or a preferred travel and leisure destination. It reminds me of a resort in New Hampshire that I used to go to every summer with my in-laws where there were a lot of things to do and everything was readily available for us to use at our leisure. It became a place that I was excited to visit every year to spend time with family and the people who I met in previous visits.
I chose the brand new villa at St.Catherine as an ideal and affordable "home away from home." The community pool is just right down the street and the villa is situated within walking distance to the Ezzell Recreation Center and very close to the upcoming 18-hole putting course and 18-hole golf course. The family pool is just a mile away for those who have family visiting.
The villa is convenient and very cozy so those who stay will feel right at home and have just about everything they need at their fingertips. The size and design of the villa has the best of both worlds, a house that is easy to keep clean for an extended stay and having access to the amenities The Villages has to offer. The neighbors of St. Catherine's are very active and you can join the Facebook Group to introduce yourself and to find out what is the latest and greatest there.
In addition to making this cozy villa available to those who want to enjoy their stay at The Villages, it is also our second home whenever we want to stay for a few days or a week, especially when we have friends visiting from out of town. Whenever possible, it is also a place for me to stay when showing homes in The Villages to prospective clients.
