This is a upper 3 room studio Bed & Breakfast; Come stay in beautifully renovated 2 story home with beautiful gardens, fenced yard; relax on the sprawling covered porch or outdoor patios. Warm up in yard firepit. Farmhouse style interiors use original wood from the 1800s to compliment the style. All linens, dinnerware and gas grill included. Fenced yard, fire pit with wood and off street parking included as well as all utilities, cable and internet/wi fi . All inc. with any studio or whole house booking. Private. Great neighborhood close to beach, shopping and farmers market. Dogs welcome with additional fee. Kayaks on site. ($25. ea. per STAY) **Please note: This is a Studio, 3 room Bed & Breakfast with 1-2 dogs. Entire house is only available as a monthly or 3+ day rental. see Sweet Blu's for house availability. (7347405352). Pricing is for studio only.. Studio includes one bedroom, full bath, and sitting room/bedroom with kitchenette, tv and futon. Sleeps 4, and includes custom breakfast on Sat and Sunday mornings with weekend rental.. Lots of yard space to play games. Immaculate, clean, spotless, well-appointed, comfortable, close to beach, right in town, amenities as described, delicious breakfast with host Saturday morning, easy access, perfect communication with host, zero confusion, wanted for nothing. Zero problems. Very pleasant stay. A wonderful spot to lodge and explore the area.

The property is beautiful. The home is well kept, the landscaping is wonderful. We stayed in the upper studio and it was furnished with a kitchenette with everything clean and working. Check in was flawless, our host met us upon check in, showed us to the upper studio and told us to let her know if we needed anything. We did not because everything was furnished and so inviting. This place is a diamond.

Quaint, close, and friendly!

Our stay with Martha was perfect! Right in town and close all that Port Austin has to offer. We used her two kayaks and enjoyed the sunset on Lake Huron and also paddled to stunning Turnip Rock. A wonderful weekend breakfast was served as well. Thank you!

Port Austin getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect, a couple of blocks from everything. Martha is a great host and there’s a lot of nice amenities. The space was beautifully decorated, comfortable and welcoming. The bed slept good and the linens were nice. She also made us some great blueberry pancakes for breakfast in the morning. Bird Creek Farms was nice for dinner and Blue Moon Ice Cream was great.

Long weekend in Port Austin at Sweet Blu's

The location is perfect. Owner was very personable. Enjoyed Alexa access. Kitchenette sink and toaster were not cleaned. Suggest having some kind of privacy on window in room with futon. Uncomfortable changing with uncovered window. Yard was very nice.

Great Location and Friendly Host

Martha was a very gracious host. The space was was perfect with a bathroom, comfortable bedroom, and a living room with space for cooking, working, and socializing. Another review mentioned the dogs. There are dogs and they do bark when you come in, but there are barriers to keep them out of your space and they never disturbed me. The bathroom was fine, but might be a little small for anyone over 6 ft tall. The location is perfect with everything in downtown Port Austin within walking distance.

Beautiful positive energy cottage!

Thank you Martha! I love the way you decorated your cottage and how we arrived to awesome music playing and the beautiful smell of the house! What a welcoming! It was like arriving at Disney Land. Just pure excitement! My friend Doug, and I, had one of our best weekends cooking in the fabulous kitchen, walking to the white sandy beach, kayaking to the giant stone in the water by the beach, exploring the restaurants, and enjoying everyone in town! Everyone in town was super friendly and kind. Only good vibes!

A little misleading as it’s not truly a separate space

If you’re not renting the entire home then you’re basically staying with the owners of the home. It’s a loft at best that does not have a separate entrance and does not have a door to separate the loft from the living space on the first floor. The house is super cute and in a good location, just felt a little misled by the listing. I feel it should be clearly stated that one is not staying in a private separate area. And my friends and I love dogs, but there are three dogs and they bark a lot and they come up the stairs and stand at the baby gate (which is the only “partition” between the guests and the owners). And the space wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. There was a pile of dirt on the rug and we found a pair of underwear next to the futon. The microwave and fridge interiors were not clean. And the sleeping surfaces are very uncomfortable. The futon is horribly uncomfortable and we were not able to get it to fold down into a bed. And the small bed in the bedroom was also uncomfortable. The owners left the second night we were there which was nice for our privacy but there are no keys offered so the house is left open at all times. Like I said it is a really nice home, super cute, and has great outdoor spaces but if you’re only renting the loft then you’ll be staying with the owners and their dogs. And one must rent the kayaks from the owners, so it’s not truly an amenity just fyi.

Awesome location and a perfect amount of space for one or two people. Martha was a great host and we enjoyed the amenities offered. Not the best fit if you dislike dogs or want a private, separate entrance.

We were in Port Austin for a wedding this weekend. Martha was a wonderful hostess, very kind and helpful. The place was clean and comfortable. We would recommend for a couple to stay also not bad with another couple that doesn’t mind a futon!! Two dogs, Blu and Scoobie bark a lot but are very friendly and super cute. Within walking distance to the farmer’s market, beach and bars/restraunts. Great location.

Vous êtes reçu par Martha

I purchased the property in 2020 and spent 1 year renovating and updating it into a Bed and Breakfast so that I can share it with others. As a professional in the design industry, I also work and live in the home as your host. If you visit us frequently, you will find I am always changing the layout and interiors. It is furnished with mostly new furnishings or repurposed local pieces. It is a casual, yet beautiful home, with everything you need to relax and just have fun. I have provided the studio with games, an internet provided TV and room air conditioner with ceiling fans for your comfort and enjoyment. I am working on providing outdoor activities such as horseshoes and cornhole. I love the water and you will find me on my kayak or lounging in the sand when I am not working. I also have 2 dogs, Blu and Scoobie. They are fairly friendly, and Blu loves to play fetch. They are not allowed outside the fenced backyard or in the studio.
I enjoy gardening, so you may see lots of flowers here and inside, depending on time of year. I also enjoy music, and will most likely have Alexa playing something fun.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

My property is ideally located!! We are a stone throws from the famous farmers market, and a few steps away from Veteran's Park in beautiful downtown Pt. Austin. You can walk to the beach, or drive, as there are many beautiful private beaches near me. There are also many events through out the year here. Check the Chamber of Commerce page for a complete list. Fall and winter rates are affordable and the area offers many things to do in the thumb.
