The photos are rather old. I was looking forward to using my fly rod for the first time on the shore front, however it is now overgrown with cat tails and grasses unable to tryout this trip. The shower is very old actually a metal enclosure which is difficult to clean would be nice if they would invest in updating. Also please let the Owner's know that they may have an issue with bats. I saw a small brown bat go up behind the siding on the front porch and noticed an odor in the home. I realize this is a Michigan cabin but I think it could be improved on a bit.
Great little place in a quiet neighborhood! We couldnât have asked for a better stay! The pond was peaceful, beds were comfortable, the whole place was so cozy!
The property was accurately described with a well equipped kitchen. The area was quiet with a great backyard for cooking out and sitting around a fire. The owners were great. There was a small hiccup with cleaning person but the owners contacted us before we got there to let us know they were running late. Would definitely stay again.
Had a great time, tje cabin is very cozy. The owners have thought about everything so you can just sit back and relax. Pro tip: Do a Walmart pick up before arrival so you can just pull in, load and relax.
We were in the area for a baseball tournament and this met our needs. The house was clean and cozy. We caught a ton of fish in the pond, which was fun. Itâs close to a nice beach area, as well.
We were looking for a place to stay and fish while participating in a nearby baseball tournament and this was perfect! The kids each caught 20 bass and bluegill before dinner on Friday!
We would recommend this place for anyone looking to relax!
The place was very clean and the hosts were extremely helpful and prepared with driving instructions and helpful tips
We did not realize this is ORV country. We came for fishing and kayaking. Pond is too small for kayaks and over run with little bluegill. Kids would love fishing here. If youâre into 4-wheeling, this is the place. There were a few housekeeping issues but the owners were very responsive. I think it was due to being empty a few weeks. It allowed for a few spider webs. Only 2 garbage bags for a 7 day stay. We still enjoyed the scenery, the streaming smart TV and playing cards with âoldâ high school friends. and loved on the neighbor cats.
Just needed to recharge from the hustle and bustle of Chicago. Perfect spot for that, caught 30 fish from the pond. Grilled steaks every night and smoked cigars.
This place was all and all a great experience. The check in was quick and easy, the added comfort of amenities around the house can keep you busy if isn't nice out and the back patio is inviting. If you walk farther towards the back there is a nice fireplace and chairs by the pond (beautiful view of wildlife) I drank my morning coffee suppled by the great hosts and saw a few deer taking a morning sip from the pond before running off in the distance. Inside is big enough for a light family and offers warmth and comfort with two beds extra blankets a couple couches chairs an tvs. This place was great for the short stay my friends and I had.
The cabin was adorable, very clean, smelled great and had everything you could or would need for a quiet and relaxing stay! Spent much of the time sitting around a cozy fire while husband fished to his content. Owners were great with their communication and even left us a very nice surprise for our anniversary. We would definitely return to this little cabin when visiting this area again!
