Vanilla Bean Cabin is a new 2/2 on 1+acre that backs to the secluded Ouachita National forest. Close to all amenities: lake, state park, dining and entertainment. Fabulous kitchen, great living space, wonderful patio and backyard. Grill, hot tub & more!

Located in a secluded and quiet area with beautiful views into the Ouachita National Forest that are amazing! The hot tub and fire pit are fun! The cabin has so many different games (horseshoes, ladder ball, ping pong and corn hole…etc).

Inside, the cabin is spacious, comfortable and cozy all at the same time. Vanilla Bean Cabin is a relaxing, modern farmhouse style cabin with an open layout connecting the dining area, kitchen and great room keeping friends and family comfortable. The large back patio has beautiful 35 foot vaulted roofline that places you directly into Ouachita National Forest. The outdoor living area makes it easy to listen to the occasional rain, the wildlife and enjoy the outdoor fireplace. This is the best place to wake up with coffee in the morning or unwind at the end of the day in a comfortable natural setting.

Enjoyable outdoor space with a natural stone fire pit or a game of Cornhole or horseshoes. A covered hot tub patio is separate from the cabin, placed between the tall trees of the Ouachita National Forest and has subtle lighting, towel hooks and a mini-fridge for cold drinks. Of course, an outdoor grill is available for preparing your favorite meal.

If you have a little work to do while you’re at the cabin, we have fast internet wifi (200 Mbps) to go with a nice little laptop desk and chair that looks out over the wooded west side of the cabin. Or, take advantage of the seamless mesh network system and sit outside on the back patio with some great connectivity next to the outdoor fireplace.

We are a dog* friendly cabin and welcome your furry pals as well. Up to 2 dogs allowed: $30 per dog, per night (+taxes).
(*Other allowed pets on a case by case basis.)

Note: fireplaces are functional during Fall and Winter months only.

There are 3 cameras located outside on the property. One that can see who is entering the front door, another in the direction of the firewood (to see when we need more) and another facing the culvert to see who is driving up the driveway.

This cabin is adorable! It’s so quiet and peaceful yet really close to restaurants and attractions in town. Everything you need is there. Just bring your clothes and toiletries. Very clean! We definitely plan to be back.

Wonderful wknd away

The place was very nice and we enjoyed the quality time we spent with each other from the games, hot tub and the cozy fire pit! There were a pack of barking dogs that were next door, but other than that, it was fantastic!! Would def recommend!

Great cabin for a family getaway

Beautiful property and well maintained. Plenty of room for our family of six plus a friend. We enjoyed the hot tub, sitting around a fire outside and playing corn hole. And the cabin is very close to activities and restaurants in town.

A perfect gateway!

The cabin was super clean and well organized, with great amenities. We had a relaxing stay. The communication from the hosts was on point, with timely and detailed instructions. Beautiful Cabin

Absolutely beautiful cabin located in the perfect location. The cabin was extremely clean and my kids loved the bunk beds and ping pong table. We soaked in the hot tub at night and watched the deer and fireflies in the trees behind us. Wonderful place to stay.

Relaxing New Years Getaway

Love this beautiful cabin! Location was close to everything. The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed. Marion and John were quick to answer all our questions. I would definitely recommend checking out this place.

Ideal Spring Break Getaway

We spent 4 glorious nights at Marian and John’s cabin for spring break along with our 2 elementary aged kids and 2 dogs. It was the perfect getaway! Everything was meticulously clean and exactly as described, with every thoughtful detail attended to. Our favorite part was the beautiful forest at the back of the property and the outdoor area with fire pit, hot tub, and yard games. The kids didn’t want to leave and neither did we.

Perfect vacation

This cabin was absolutely beautiful with all the perfect personal and thoughtful touches. The owners communicated so well and it was a breeze to contact them (we only did to say how much we loved the cabin). Our boys 14 and 10 had such a great time they didn’t want to leave. We also loved the location, within minutes of everything in hochatown, but secluded enough to be peaceful and out of the way. We can’t wait to go back!!!

Family Getaway

Very nice and clean. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and the outdoor games. There are wasps that get inside. We killed at least 5 or 6. This cabin is exactly as pictured. Would stay again.

Beautiful Cabin!

The Vanilla Bean is by far the most beautiful cabin we have ever stayed in! Marian and John were so helpful in anything we needed. We have 4 kids and they were entertained with the ping pong table and board games. The jacuzzi and fire pit were perks. Thank you so much!!

Spring Break woodsy haven

beautiful modern cabin in the forest with fun for all ages. Very neat and clean with every amenity possible from well equipped kitchen, great outdoor grill and hot tub to fun upstair loft bedroom with builtin bunks equipped with niches for storage, lights & electrical outlets. Plenty of towels etc. Very close to town and all attractions. Lots of new construction so just need to beware of pitted gravel roads. We all loved our stay

Great Getaway Sans A Few Issues!

Lovely, well appointed home close to all that Hochatown and the surrounding area has to offer. Darling decor and plenty of space for our group of four. Unfortunately we did encounter a few issues. The home isn’t as secluded as advertised. While it is situated on an acre within a cul-de-sac street, it is the first home off the entrance and neighbors can be seen from most viewpoints. We also had a pest problem. There were more than a dozen wasps inside the cabin. The owners were quick to respond and did send out the maintenance head but unfortunately he didn’t address the issue, just mitigated some of the nuisance. We did appreciate the amenities and the prompt response from the owners who were very pleasant and helpful when needed!

Definitely will be back!

The house had everything and more! The owners were very easy to work with and communicate with, very friendly and informative! The house is close to a lot of restaurants and attractions. It was equipped with pretty much everything, paying attention to many finer details, like robes, laundry hamper, outdoor blankets, etc. The kitchen had everything you can think of as well! I was thinking of bringing my personal griddle but glad I didn't, because the house had one! Big plus - the knives were sharp, not like other rentals that have super dull ones. I had asked about s'mores sticks; the owner didn't think they had any and would pick up some for future renters. Luckily, we found some in the drawers! The bedrooms were fantastic too, right down to the beds, linens, and bathrooms. There were soft robes, a hamper, a space heater, hair dryer, and more. The outdoor - amazing!! The patio, fireplace, hot tub, the enclosed patio gate so that we can have our dog out, the fire pit and chairs; all of it was top notch! The only thing we wished it had was an outdoor TV. It was March Madness when we went, so it would have been great to have a TV outdoor because that's where we spent most of our time, but not a big deal! We watched it through the big, clear windows. Our family had a great time; we will definitely be back!

Perfect Getaway

This cabin was the perfect size for our family and it was so cute. Had everything we needed and more. Beds were comfortable and the area was so nice. We’ll definitely be back!! The property managers were awesome as well in giving us all the information we needed before, during, and preparing to leave our visit.
