Family Style home -2 bedrooms 1 bath

This is our guest house. It is a cozy 2 bed 1 bath ranch home. Has all the amenities and comforts of home and located near Ferdinand State Forest. Large master bedroom with queen sized mattress. Guest bedroom with two full sized beds. Both bedrooms are across from the tiled bathroom. Laundry room at the end of the hall way between bathroom and master bedroom. Hardwood floors in main living area and bedrooms. A nice size tiled kitchen with open dining and living space and wood burning fireplace. TV is in the living room area with WIFI availability. The house sleeps five guest across two bedrooms and additional sleeping options in the living areas (sectional couch with pull out full sized bed)

Perfection

Four of us were down to fish a tournament on Patoka Lake. Shannon was great on the lead up communication and Collin got us and our boats situated. Could not have asked for a better location and hosts (including the guard dog)! Will definitely be staying there again next year.

Our host was very responsive and the place was stocked with high quality items. Thanks for the cookies and tomatoes...so good. Also, thanks for access to your dog and good TP ( a rarity in rentals). We loved this place and wished we could have stayed longer. Until next time...

This property is BEAUTIFUL!! Everything was so clean and organized. The property owner even has snacks and a frozen pizza if we wanted it. The beds were so comfortable, and it was much nicer being able to chill out here than sit around in a hotel. This will be our new Holiday World rental! 12/10!

Great place to stay

Wonderful, clean rental. Our family stayed here one night between our two day trip to Holiday World. Owners gave great directions. Rental sits adjacent to the owners home. Very quiet property. Has an ice maker to fill up coolers. The pull out couch was comfortable. My kids loved the hunting decorations. Will stay here again.

Spacious Retreat for a Family of 6.

We came down to spend a day at Holiday World and wanted a place to sleep before our long drive home the next day. This was a 30 minute drive from the park. It was a nice quiet place with plenty of space for everyone to have a place to crash. We were greeted by the sweet dog Koda, four freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and a sweet welcome note from the owners. The place was clean and the decor was a nice touch for a cabin in the woods feel.

This place is absolutely beautiful! My family was able to have a nice, safe, clean place to stay. We were surrounded by the beautiful scenery. They have a basket ball hoop set up and my boys had so much fun playing. The hosts live right by this house, so if you need anything, they are right there. They are also very quick to answer any questions. We had such a fun and relaxing time. We would gladly rent again!

Best Stay for Mom Friends and Four Boys — Holiday World Trip 2024!!

We brought our sons and a couple buddies to Holiday World and then wanted to find a cute place to stay that fit us all and gave us space…this is all that and more!! We got greeted by Koda, a beautiful husky that is so kind and well mannered (we all loved him). The place has all the amenities listed and is just right; out in the country, enough space to spread out, basketball hoop, fire pit to do s’mores and even a full kitchen to cook! They even had spices there! It has a rustic charm and is very clean! Will definitely be back-highly recommend!

Nice, clean & affordable!

This place was clean and they went above and beyond what I expected. They even had a frozen pizza, ice cream bars, & fresh farm eggs waiting for us. Provided plenty of linens and basic essentials. We stayed 2 nights. The only thing negative thing for us was the master bed had a soft mattress and we are use to a firm mattress, but everyone has different likings so it's impossible to please everyone, but I would stay again.

Nice location just needs a few upgrades.

Well first when we walked in my wife said this place smells like a dog. The bed in the master was terrible . And in the other room there was no dresser or hangers for my kids to get there things out of there suitcases. The bathroom was good. And the kitchen was pretty well stocked.

Slice of Heaven!

To start with, I had good communication with our host before our arrival. Once we arrived, we were greated by Colin and had some great conversation. This place was absolutely perfect for after a long drive. The home was cozy, clean and set up perfectly. There was a nice fire ring outside the front door by the patio. The fire and a couple drinks to help unwind was just what we were looking for. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit that portion of southern Indiana. Gracious host and five star amenities! Thank you very much Colin and Shannon! We hope to come back in the future!

peaceful vacation site in the country.

Only complaint I have is the access directions on the Schnellville Road. Very narrow. I would not drive it. Once we were directed to use Bretzville turnoff, the roads worked better for my husband but not for me - not after dark. The furnishings were very nice. The hosts were very wellcoming.

Turning off the main road and then the crunch of the rocky road under your tires are the signs you are heading sonewhere unique. This place is out and away from city life but just 25 minutes from an amusement park, close to Payola lake and all it has to offer and little cute towns such as Ferdinand and Jasper. We've stayed here twice now, as it is super clean and cozy for our family. Our grandma enjoys all one floor. Our teens love Koda and friends

Place was exactly as listed

We had a great time although we only spent the evenings and early mornings at the property. I met Colin (one of the owners). Very friendly and hospitable. We would highly recommend this property. If you are looking to stay here and are friendly and easy going, you will enjoy your stay very much!
