Longterm Stay in the Polverista Suite (Sep-Nov)
I stayed for 1,5 month on Malta due to a project of my work and booked the Polverista Suite in Cospicua. The host Daniel is very nice, helpful and assists you with everything very quickly. The apartment is located in Cospicua (Bormla), one of the three old cities. From my impression, the area was mainly inhabited by maltese families - not that many tourists as in Valletta or St Juliens. Accordingly, the attractions in the area directly around the appartment are limited. But the ferry to Valletta is not far and it takes you around 15min to get to the capital city of Malta. The building itself has the typical charming historic maltese flair. Malta can get very hot in the summer month, so it’s good to have AC in the apartment. The host will give you a limit of permitted energy waste, which is calculated quite tolerant. Living there and spending quite some time in the apartment I didn’t used half of the permitted amount. But if you plan to visit Malta in the summer month, using AC all day - the limit can be reached sooner (but I guess this rule just applies for long term visitors like me). Sometimes the neighborhod was a bit louder in the evenings but since Daniel was informed about it he talked with them and solved the situation.
All in all I would highly recommend the apartment for short term visitors as well as long term visitors, who don’t wanna live in the crowded streets of Valetta or St. Juliens and enjoy the maltese way of life.
