Jasmine Cottage Lefkada | Friendly stone house with garden & calming views

I first came to Lefkada on holiday about 27 years ago and fell in love, not with a man, but the island. I promised myself "One day I will live here". In the summer of 2000 I did just that. The family had grown up and I wanted a new life.

A few years later my family joined the island life and of course expanded! Buying a plot of land and starting to build a homestead in Greece proved a challenge, one that is ongoing still, but satisfying if you take into account all the goodies that come with living in Greece.

Jasmine Cottage was the first of our builds, mostly constructed by my sons. There are now 4 generations of our family living here. My older son lives mostly in the Caribbean. My younger son got married here in Lefkada with a lovely Serbian lady and my grandson has grown up here and is now a young man dj-ing for a bar in Nidri. We have been joined by my elderly mother now and all live closely, acting together as a family and as a team.

We welcome guests of all nationalities to taste a little bit of the country life we managed to create on this so-very-special island.

Our cottage is a detached stone house with a private garden and is split into 2 levels. The ground floor is the space for getting active, with a large equipped kitchen and a living-dining area, as well as a covered patio. There is a foldable bed to sleep a 5th person placed on the ground floor, in the living room.

The first floor is the place to rest, with bedroom no. 1 with a double bed, bedroom no. 2 with 2 single beds, and a bathroom with both a shower and a tub. The two bedrooms have common access to a balcony with nice sea views over Vlicho Bay, as well as mountain views.

There is only one A/C unit for cooling in the summer located in the double bedroom for now, but we hope to install more air conditioning units for 2022 season.

Regarding heating for colder winter days, there is a log burner with real wood in the living room that heats up the whole first floor, creating a nice and cosy atmosphere. The log burner heats up the twin bedroom as well, as the pipe exits the roof through this room. There are a few other electrical heaters in case needed.

The garden is just partially fenced, please keep that in mind when you bring your pet. We are animal owners and lovers and we feel responsible to tell you everything there is to know about bringing your pet here. Please read more on this in the House Rules section.

The whole area is evergreen and calm, without the noise of the crowds. It is an agricultural and farming area, out of the village of Katochori. This house is private property and the road leading to the house is an agricultural road. A car or other means of transportation is strongly recommended.
