Sapphire Valley is beautiful and this property was just what we were looking for. We chose not to get the amenities package, which would have given us access to the kayak rentals, etc., but it was a quick walk to the lake and good access to hikes. The only drawback we noted was that there are not many kitchen utensils.
We really enjoyed our stay in North Carolina! Great location if you like hiking and waterfalls. Absolutely beautiful. It was also nice to have the opportunity to take advantage of the resort amenities. The condo was clean and and had what we needed for our stay.
Place was perfect! We didn't want to leave! Great value and location!
The condo was perfect! Everything was maintained. We had everything we needed for our stay. Great neighborhood. Beautiful area. We were 2 miles away from grocery stores so picking up supplies was easy. The condo is beautifully updated. Loved the heaters in the bathrooms downstairs perfect for chilly mornings when you were getting out of shower! Kitchen had everything we needed for preparing our meals. Fireplace was awesome!! Furniture was comfortable. Plenty of room in bedrooms for luggage space! Nice having the 2 double beds in 2nd bedroom for adult sons. Highly recommend staying here!!
The property is located at Lake Fairfield which is absolutely beautiful.
This is our second time renting this property, we love the location. You can walk to the Boat Dock at Lake Fairfield for kayaking, and the lake trail is one of our favorites. The front porch is fabulous, the place is very comfortable and clean. Highly recommend and hope to come back next year.
The decor was wonderful. The amenities were great wish the amenity card had come with the property. The property was well maintained. FYI please repair back right door it would not lock also no fireplace tools so no fire.
This is a great place to enjoy Sapphire and the surrounding area -
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this well-appointed villa - Everything was extremely clean and inviting - There was even an adorable white squirrel outside our window one morning! We would highly recommend this unit to anyone who's planning a visit to this area - Thanks for a lovely trip -
We loved Cashiers because it's small and so close to many beautiful waterfalls. Hiking is great and Cashiers is close to Highlands, Brevard and Asheville. The unit was well maintained even though the complex is very old. A beautiful lake within walking distance (if you don't mind straight up hill when you return!). We will go back to Cashiers!
This property was nicely decorated with leather sofa and chair, stainless appliances and a well equipped kitchen. Linens and towels were average and the beds were comfortable. It was a quiet end unit close to Lake Fairfield. I'm not sure if we were the first renters of the season but the unit was not clean. Countertops had something on them, master tub was covered in a soap scum and there were spiders and cobwebs. I would also suggest leaving map of the resort to show location of the amenities. Overall we had a nice stay and would stay here again.
We fully enjoyed the great outdoors in the mountains...hiking, kayaking and viewing sites/waterfalls. The condo had everything we needed to feel right at home. There are also some upscale updates made to the rental - hardwood floors, granite counter tops, fireplace and new appliances. Wonderful experience in the mountains!
The villa was really nice & updated! We would go back there. Not disappointed at all.
There was no wood for fire, but we got some at Ingles. There were small bugs in both Bathrooms, there was no working remote in king bedroom for TV.
This is a great place visit during the off season if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle. The area was within a short driving distance of many "must see" waterfalls. Get some exercise prior to your trip as some of the hikes are a bit strenuous. All of the people that we met in the area were very nice and the recently renovated condo was very clean, nicely decorated and well-appointed. It certainly met our expectations. I only have a couple of small suggestions that I would like to offer. Have a handyman check the property periodically to take care of simple maintenance items like loose faucet handles, dirty air return filters, burned out light bulbs and the like. The outside heat pump unit may also require service as it seemed to be a little noisier than the typical. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in Sapphire Valley and would definitely consider this property again in the future.
This was my 1st time to NC and also my 1st time booking anywhere other than a hotel so I was a bit nervous about the specific location to stay as well as the accommodations. I also felt the pressure of my family if I chose a less than ideal vacation spot. My concern left as we traveled and enjoyed the sights of the mountains through the beautiful winding roads to this spectacular Villa!! The views heading up to the Villa were wonderful and we all were so impressed once we opened the door. I even got a few "good job mom" out of the family. Each room was perfect and even more beautiful than photos showed. So much care to every detail was thought of by this owner. It was so clean and well decorated, I was very impressed with the special touches throughout. The rooms were very large and the unit was laid out very well. It is a must see for sure and even before finishing the trip we were talking about renting there again. The closets were spacious with lots of extra blankets, fluffy towels and pillows. There wasn't anything this owner hadn't thought of to make for an a terrific stay inc having brochures of nearby eateries and activities in the area. We used the resort as well and felt the price was worth it for the activities we chose. The fireplace was so nice and the owner had wood outside by the door ready to use. The villa complex had a lake on the property we walked down to and the sights were truly wonderful. We spend time hiking to waterfalls and just enjoying the gorgeous location, I will be back for sure !! This unit had an amazing blend of woodsy and luxury and you can tell the owner cares about his investment since it was so pristine. The grocery store (Ingles) is in a small plaza (dollar general/ ace hardware) that isn't too far away and the resort is close by as well. To get the groc sale prices you need a club card but there was one avail in the kitchen drawer to use which again was very thoughtful. Paper products were supplied and the appliances like everything else were very clean. The outdoor back porch was very spacious with seating and again the mountain view was great and was everything I hoped it would be.
