Quaint rural downtown community close to springs, 3 rivers, biking & equestrian
Only two blocks from downtown this cottage has charm with wood floors and built in bookcases & is two blocks from parades, concerts & annual festivals. Itâs less than a mile from the fair grounds and equestrian center and 6 miles from Spirit of the Suwannee. Enjoy quite rural celebrations or less than 1.5 hours from Jacksonville, Gainesville, Tallahassee or Valdosta, Ga.
We stayed 5 nights in this cottage for a softball tournament. It was great for us. Even the private backyard was perfect. Lori was very helpful when we needed to extend our stay from 2 nights to 5 nights.
We were in Live Oak for the Florida Freewheelers 6 day bike ride. The house is located a little more than a mile from the fairgrounds, making the commute easy. Neighborhood is very quiet and nice. The house was perfect for our needs, it just needs a little TLC.
We are grateful for a warm stay at the cottage with nearby access to the Spirit of the Suwanee Music Park during a very cold weekend! No snow, but a hard frost. Glad to find a rental that supports a family who has local roots in and care for the area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, beds were very comfortable and the house was cozy and surprisingly was decorated for Christmas. The home was perfect for our stay.
The property was great! I was down just myself for work and it was perfect for 1 person or for small groups/families. Quiet area and good for getting work done.
Great place to stay for Music events at Spirit of the Suwanee
This is a great little place to stay if you are attending a festival or event at Spirit of the Suwanee music park. Just a few miles from the Venu. Very cozy very clean little two bedroom house to stay in. The owners are amazing.
After Christmas visit with our son and daughter in law
We selected this cute little cottage as it was near our son's home in Wellborn, Florida. We were able to spend three days with our son and daughter in law to celebrate Christmas with them. We had a wonderful time! The house was absolutely perfect for our needs!
Nice clean and comfy cottage, main bath had no shower curtain but outside of that, everything was pretty solid and fairly priced and valued, huge lot, close to town , etc.
My family was staying at a friends unfinished home in the country to accommodate all of us and our dogs. We were not able to find another location and this one came available on the fourth day so we were grateful to have some thing with running water and a toilet. The hostess was extremely helpful and kind and supportive and did everything she could to make Our stay as good as she could. For $100 a night itâs not a five star hotel but itâs cute and itâs right in town and a nice neighborhood.
We were the first guest in this quaint home away from home! The location was convenient to the downtown and the Suwannee Music Park. The home was small but comfy with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The checkin process was easy and the property was clean! The owners were responsive to questions and made our stay very pleasant!
We came to stay for a rock round-up event.
The location was ideal to distance of event.
Housekeeping and maintenance of house needs improvement!
Thank you, Lori for the place to stay while we were there.
We would not re-rent your home.
2nd time staying here. There was a lot of garbage sitting g outside the rear door. Critters got into it so we had to clean it up. The home was sufficient for our needs. The cleaning could have been better. Corners and mold in bathroom.
older house with some upgrades. Beds were comfortable. Bath room needs renovation. We were there for the Safari bike ride so not in the house very much. For our purposes it was fine but could use some additional renovation. Hostess was very responsive and helpful.
Front door handle ready to fall off, dead bolt doesnât fully engage properly, toilets need to be replaced, bathtub shower needs grout job, second bathroom no shower curtain just had hand held constantly dripping. Dead cockroach on kitchen floor been there for a while. Comfortable beds good location.
We loved this house and the location. It was super clean and had a vintage charm about it. We had plenty of room for my two boys, 20 and 23 years old, and myself, the 49 year old mom. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. The boys slept on the twin beds and said they slept pretty good. The 20 year old decided to sleep on the sofa the next night and he said that it slept pretty good too. We did not spend a lot of time at the house, so we pretty much just slept there and took showers. Both boys did take a shower in the master bath since the guest bath did not have a shower curtain. I can see younger kids loving the guest bathroom using the hand held shower while sitting in the tub.
On a personal note, the neighborhood where this house is located brought back many memories from childhood summers. Across the road was my great grandmother's house, we couldn't believe her house was across the street! This trip to Live Oak was to celebrate my grandmother's 88th birthday. I was only 2-3 minutes from her house. Other family members stayed at the hotels out by Interstate 10 and they were envious of us because we had a house with room to move freely. We hope to stay here again! My brother, who was staying at one of the hotels, stopped by to check out the house and said that he would like to rent this house when he returns to Live Oak with his family of 5. He loved it just as much as we did! My mom thought it was cute as a button too! Now that my other family members know about the house, we may be fighting over who will stay there next. It was cheaper than the hotels!
Thank you! Our stay was better than expected!
