Descent size with close proximity to beach and a15 min walk to the Pier. Neighborhood is fine to walk at night. Loved the porch space, we were able to utilize it to stay dry when it was raining and we didnât want to be indoors. Definitely could hear the train which wasnât bothersome to us but something others may want to know ahead of time. We unfortunately had little kids running a lot in the unit above us which was very obnoxious. However we didnât let it ruin our trip.
Overall we enjoyed our time here. A very comfortable place to stay. Easy access to condo, plenty of bath towels, washer and dryer work great, short walk to the beach.
There are a few areas that need improvement:
When we arrived the door was open, windows were not locked. There were no kitchen towels or laundry detergent. Listing states 2 queen, 2 twin beds to sleep 8. There are actually 4 double beds.
The kitchen was disappointing. There are only 4 plates and 4 bowls. Plenty of silverware, glassware and mugs but the drawers were VERY difficult to open. Microwave over stove doesn't work so no fan but there is a new microwave on the counter which works fine.
Listing states there's only a drip coffee maker but there is also a single-cup Keurig.
One waste basket in kitchen and one in main bathroom. No waste basket in smaller bathroom and in any other room which is inconvenient.
Cleaning needs to be better as we found items under beds and counters not wiped down well and beds were made haphazardly.
Why, oh why would you have carpeting in a beach condo??? Although guests are asked to keep sandy items out and wash feet at washing station before entering it is impossible to keep ALL sand out of the condo.
Lighting needs an upgrade, especially over the table and in the kitchen.
The property managers were very quick to reply to a couple of issues we encountered. So although we did enjoy our stay, we feel the owners could do better in several areas.
For the price of this place, I expected it to be much more updated and in a nice complex. The complex was dirty and outdated, having garbage all over the place. The condo looked like they did some "quick fixes" to get it rented. Floor felt like it was caving in. Fixtures were rusted in bathroom and the rug felt "soggy." It reminded me of a collage dorm room. On the positive side, it WAS close to the beach and the beds were comfortable. Being from New Jersey, I felt like I was in Seaside Heights...which is the slum part of the Jersey shore. Sorry, just trying to be honest. Way too much money for what you got!
We stayed for a long weekend and were thrilled at the proximity to the beach! Walking distance to the pier and downtown OOB. Furniture is a little dated but comfortable. Beds were comfy. Would def stay again. The only thing that I would recommend is to bring soaps and spices for cooking to avoid having to buy them when you get there.
