Relax and recharge! Cabin on a tranquil bay on Deer Lake is a perfect get away!
Cabin: This year round cabin has stunning views and 110 feet of lakefront on the beautiful turquoise blue waters of Deer Lake. Get away and create memories with family and friends with access to a private dock, beach area, fire pit and completely renovated cabin. My wife, Amy and I bought this 1960's built cabin because we love cabin life and have never been on a more beautiful lake than Deer Lake. The cabin is completely renovated and updated including all new appliances and Quartz counters. The spacious front yard has a gentle slope to the lake and dock. Relax and enjoy the beauty of Tranquil Bay. Boat rentals available at Grand Rapids Marine 218-326-0351 and R&R Rental 218-999-7368. R&R also rents ATVs and Snowmobiles.

This home is perfect for families! You canât beat a weekâs stay on Deer Lake. We would recommend to anyone considering and hope to come stay at this house again.
Beautiful location on the lake with plenty of spaces to sleep. YouTube TV for relaxing at night after a long day fishing and a helpful directory to guide our stay. Couldn't ask for more!
We family had a wonderful family gathering on the lake! The 3 year old caught her first fish and 5 more from the dock. Cabin is perfect with big windows facing the lake and all you need for family fun! Thank you!!!
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin in Tranquil Bay. The home was perfection, it was clean, updated, and the hosts clearly put tremendous thought and effort into visitor stayâs. The lake is beautiful. My son (and whole family) loved the fishing, especially off the dock. His first cast actually resulted in a nice bass! The neighbors are friendly and Cedar Creek Grille for dinner was a fantastic recommendation. We just had the best time and couldnât have planned a better week. Many thanks.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was great and lived up to the description and pictures. Luke was very responsive to answering a few questions via text. ( we did not understand the electronic lock at first, but he got us fixed up quickly ). Grand Rapids is close enough to be able to run to town for a meal or grocery shopping. Nothing but praise for this lake cabin.
The home has been lovingly and tastefully redone. It is super well-equipped. The owners have really thought ahead to maximize the usefulness of their home, with multiple sitting areas on the property. The professional listing photos capture the feel of the place, however, manage your expectations of the size of the rooms and common areas. In summer, there is enough room for 8 people since you can spill outside. If you are all house bound, it will be TIGHT! We had a group of 7 women ages 20-50. I would never try to put 10 people in this home! If you are couples, it is a 6 person house. If you bring toddlers, there are very steep open stairs to the basement. It was nice to have the multiple beds, be aware the top 2 bunks are shorter than normal, I believe.
The view is great and its nice to be close to the water. Perfect for launching a canoe or kayak. I dont think anyone should expect it to be a swimming beach, though, entry into the water is shallow and sticky.
The home worked well for us overall, but if you push it's limits, you might be disappointed. It's small, simple and cheery, in a quiet setting, it's not a big party house.
The owners are very responsive and its clear that they want you to enjoy your stay. We certainly did!
Our stay was wonderful! The cabin has been beautifully renovated and offers everything you need for a great stay at the lake - kitchen items, extra linens, gas grill, fire pit, cards and board games and plenty of outdoor space for lounging. The cabin is exceptionally clean and well maintained and the owners were always available to answer questions or offer recommendations. The lake itself is spectacular! Great fishing, beautiful shoreline, big enough for tubing and skiing. Lots of opportunities to get out in nature on the lake and on the trails near by. We can't wait to stay again. Thank you Luke & Amy!
Nice clean cabin. Looks to have been recently updated. Clean. Did our swimming out on sand bar in lake... shore line at cabin a little mucky. Nice floating dock for our boat. Neighbors were friendly.
"Pictures don't do it justice" was the first thing that popped into my head as we pulled into the property. Beautifully remodeled cabin in a quiet cove. Everything was brand new! The backyard gently sloped to the lake where there is a sand beach area and boat dock. We spent many days just lounging by the lake enjoying beverages. The firepit was also a hit with the kids. The boat was under repair so we couldn't use it, but we were able to rent a boat in Grand Rapids and dock at the property. Friendly neighbors too! Will definitely be back
My husband and I and our 11 year old British lab spent 2 weeks at Tranquil Bay. Our time was heavenly! The positioning of the cabin allows for sun shaded, spectacular views of the lake from the large deck. There is a smokeless fire pit just off the deck, again with great lake views. Although the ownersâ names arenât Chip and Joanna Gaines, the cabin could be featured in the TV show Fixer Upper. The the owners, a master craftsman and talented interior designer, have tastefully remodeled and furnished the cabin. Thankfully no fish mounted on the walls! The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, dishes and cooking equipment and extra touches like spices and coffee creamers were very much appreciated. Sitting on the deck listening to the loons and watching the family of bald eagles was so relaxing. We were pleasantly surprised at the minimal boat traffic on the lakeâno loud ski boats or jet skiesâjust an occasional kayaker or trolling fishing boatâindeed a tranquil bay except for the splash our dog made when she jumped from the dock to retrieve her bumper. We also enjoyed âcruisingâ the lake in the furnished paddleboat. The owners added a small sand beech near the water which would be perfect for kids to play. The beds in the second bedroom on the first floor are arranged with 2 double beds on the floor and 2 singles bunked above. Kids would have a great time in this room. The master bedroom is large enough for a very comfortable king sized bed, 2 dressers and a chair without feeling cramped. The kitchen, dining, and living area is completely open and all have a beautiful view of the lake. There is also a full bath on the first floor. There is another bedroom in the basement and a combined laundry/full bathroom. The Wi-Fi worked great. The owners are very responsive and really strive to make your stay enjoyable. We spent many days golfing at 4 nearby courses; Pokegama in Grand Rapids was our favorite. We also ordered food to go from the Blueberry Bowl (yes itâs a bowling alley) in Deer River. The food was surprisingly good. We loved this place so much we reserved it again for next year.
