We would like to welcome you to come stay in our lovely cabin nestled amongst towering hardwood trees with a serene front porch view of the still water of our private 2 acre lake. You'll find every need met to comfortably accommodate up to 6 guest with a well equipped kitchen featuring plenty of counter space and a dining area to gather and enjoy a family meal or to sit with friends and play cards. Outside you will be able to enjoy late evening campfires by the water and early morning sunrises over the lake.
It was nice and away from everything still great distance to town if we need food or supplies. if we Stayed longer it would of been nice to have TV and Internet just at night and if the weather was bad. Still had a great time and would tell people to look it up and stay there,
The reason for choosing this property was to fish which was shared with the owner. The pond was covered with moss and sea weed, unfishable! What was listed as peaceful is on a very busy road with 2 different railroad tracks, one directly behind the cabin. There was dirty silver ware and cooking utensils, the refrigerator was nasty, there was a hornet nest by the air conditioner that we had to spray.Overall not a good stay.
Cabin was a work in progress. There was no privacywhen walking from bedroom to bathroom due to front door being inline with bathroom and having no window treatment on door. A/Cunit was not well insulated allowing for various bugs to enter cabin including mosquitos! When removing sheets/comfort at the end of stay there was a cricket like insect (alive) and several other bugs (not bedbugs) between sheet and matress pad. Serene lake was not serene, it was thick
So thick with moss and other vegetation it was hard to fish. The ground in front of cabin and around fire pit was very rutted and seemed to have been a driveway to a gate at one time. Grass in this area could have used a trim. With grass and lake situation the bugs were to abundant to enjoy the outside in the evening. A train track sit very close to cabin with a road crossing fairly close, a night time train arrival is startling when the train whistleblows. The cabin is adorably charming! Cabin was fairly clean. Fridge could have used a good cleaning vs. a wipe down, bathroom floor needed swept and a night light. Bed was very comfortable, sheets, comforters, blankets, towels were clean. A toaster would be nice but other kitchen appliances were adequate as was necessary cleaning supplies. Cabin was without power for 4+ hours due to storm, flashlight or 2 would be nice for the just in case. Jake was very friendly and attentive to our needs, even apologetic for the power outage. Check-in/out was simple!
We enjoyed our quiet little stay at this Linton cabin. It was exactly what we needed for our 3 children & us! We needed a quiet place to land after our daily adventures in nature, and this was perfect for us. The owners were prompt in replying to any questions and the check in process was super smooth. Clean, tidy little cabin with necessities provided. They even provided us with a charcoal grill and plenty of firewood for our evening fires. Would recommend to anyone needing a peaceful getaway destination. đ
