Summary: This is a fantastic 3 bedroom tourist house within walking distance of Kendall Square. The unit has everything you need to enjoy a comfortable, quality stay in the heart of East Cambridge and just a stone's throw away from Boston. One block away from the train station and just 2 blocks from a convenient shopping center and galleria with plenty of eateries and stores.
Getting Around: Parking is paid parking only in nearby garages. Fee ranges from $7.50-$28/day depending on day of week. Uber is highly recommended instead of a car.
Loved the location!! Clean and comfortable! We had 60 and 70 year olds so steps to the third floor were difficult! Host was very friendly and quick to answer all of our questions! We loved our stay in Boston!
The description indicated an "in-unit washer dryer", which was not present. It also described it as a "first floor or basement unit", which we were on the top/second floor...so stairs. The unit was much smaller than expected and having 6 people in there was uncomfortable given the lack of seating/space in the kitchen/living room to comfortably hang out together. There were 3 bedrooms that easily slept 6 and 2 full bathrooms, but "the outdoor space" was really just a fire escape. For the money, it was disappointing to say the least. The cake topper was that we were never sent the entry information, so the day of check-in I'm scrambling to text, call and email to get the code. In fairness the host got back to me in about 20 minutes, so that's a small part of my disappointment. However, the host indicated check-in to be 6 p.m., but my confirmation indicated 4 p.m. and the cleaning people were there when we arrived. Seems like they may have dropped the ball on our trip.
The property was beautiful. The beds were very comfortable. There is a parking lot available a block away, just message the property owner for details.
We got there late and loved the apartment the only thing that was not addressed is the parking we had a mini van and it was about 5 blocks away where the space for it to fit was. Overall the apartment was gorgeous and Clean. Our only complaint was the parking if we were elderly it wouldn't have worked.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean and had more than enough space for our group of 5. Its right next to Lechmere station on the green line, which can get you to Park Street or North Station pretty quickly, and a quick walk to Kendall Square. There are quite a few stairs, but they get you to the top floor and a little further away from the city sounds which was nice. Would definitely stay here again!
