This rustic family cottage will take you back to a simpler time where life moves by at a slower pace. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs (1 full and 2 twins) and a third area with a queen bed downstairs. There is one bathroom with a shower over the old clawfoot tub, as well as a washer and dryer. There is a wood burning stove in the living room that will take off the chill in the shoulder season. This Cottage is a member of The Congregational Summer Assembly that comes with access to 800â of members-only sandy beaches on Crystal Lake, as well as shared access to Lake Michigan beach. Registered renters are included for a $33 weekly fee during the mid-June to mid-August season. There are also four tennis courts (the two closest to the cottage require purchasing an additional $10 season access ticket). The main assembly building has a ping pong table and foosball table, a library, activities board, and is where they hold dances and other indoor activities for young kids. There is also a meeting house with church on Sunday across the field from the main assembly building. As a guest in a CSA cottage, you are welcome to use/attend as many or as few of the CSA activities you wish.
This property is a disgrace to the rental market. There are not enough words to describe all the negative things about it. It is a fire trap waiting to happen. Only 1 way out through a door that was impossible for me to un lock (the lock is ancient) from the inside and then the door sticks so bad that it takes a strong man to open. I was near to having a serious panic attack and ready to call 911 because i could not get out! The bathroom was a horror story all by itself...2 naked light bulbs....paper and cleaning supplies dumped the floor....The bathtub/combo shower: very unsafe! No elderly person could ever dream of getting in it!
Because we arrived so late, we stayed only 1 night of our reservation and left the next morning. For this to remain a rental property, some serious upgrades need to be done to make it safe.
Older summer cottage. Perfect location. Stairs are difficult for older family members. No bath upstairs. Everything you need. Host is easy to work with. Location is a 10! Lovely stay! Screened in porch was wonderful for morning coffee đ
My friends and I were coming into town for King Salmon fishing on the Bestie and based on location and need, this place was perfect. A 10 minute drive to the boat launch and right in the heart of Frankfort, the place was perfect for everything you'd need.
