Country Home with Private Swimming Pond and Beautiful Mountain Views

Welcome to Fox Ridge, a four season vacation rental in Margaretville, NY. Located on top of the mountain at 2100 feet overlooking the valley with spectacular views of the private pond and the Catskill Forest Preserve on 9 very private acres. Only 2œ hours from New York City, Fox Ridge is an inviting escape for you, your family, and friends.

Come and enjoy our spacious, beautifully furnished contemporary home. Take in the sweeping views of the mountains and large swimming pond from the newly expanded deck or from inside the glass enclosed great room with soaring ceiling and stone fireplace. Enjoy the warmth of a roaring fire on a snowy winter night or on a cool summer evening. Come in the fall and take in the brilliant color display across the valley or rejuvenate in the spring with new life around you.

Eat in, cook on the grill, or try one of the many excellent area restaurants. Spend an evening at home playing pool or watching a movie on one of the flat screen TVs. Relax in the hot tub under the stars or roast marshmallows on the fire pit. Swim or kayak in the pond, dive in from the dock or go hiking on one of the easily accessible trails. Finish up the day in our new outdoor shower.

Try your hand at flyfishing on a clean mountain stream or golf at one of the nearby courses. Belleayre Mountain offers excellent skiing for the entire family in the winter and outdoor concerts in the summer. All of these activities and more are within minutes of the house.

The 3 level house has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The bedrooms are furnished with extra comfy beds and fine linens. There are two bedrooms with queen beds and one with twins, comfortably accommodating 6 people. Come with your family and friends or enjoy a romantic getaway for 2.

We stayed at this property in October when our nephew got married at the Margaretville Mountain Inn. The proximity of the house to the venue was perfect. The house is well stocked and very comfortable. We enjoyed the deck, the beautiful Mountain View, the hot tub and the pool table. The host was very responsive and accommodating. The house would be an ideal spot for a winter getaway being so close to many ski resorts and in the summer to take advantage of the huge pond on the property.

The little added touches were very heartwarming. We were so comfortable during our stay we felt almost no need to leave the property and greatly enjoyed the hot tub, swimming in the pond, and playing games. The proximity to town was convenient but still offered plenty of secluded peace. Overall we loved our week at the house!

Beautiful house in the Catskills

The house had the best views - great Mountain views plus a pond. House was roomy and had everything we needed. Great hot tub and was close to several ski resorts. Lots of games and a pool table. Very easy check-in process and the hosts were extremely responsive and helpful with any requests.

Beautiful place to stay

House was beautiful, well stocked, in a perfect area that was so quiet and relaxing yet close to Margaretville Main St stores, supermarket, and CVS! Very close to Belleayre, great local restaurants—book put together by Neil and his family was a great help! Loved loved loved the hot tub which was nice after a day on the slopes! We will definitely be back!

Ideal Catskills Getaway

Perfect location for a private Catskills getaway experience with easy access town and restaurants. The house is cozy and well maintained. The backyard offers beautiful scenic mountain views and a large yard. Would definitely recommend!

Great place for skiing at Belleayre

The house was perfect for our long weekend skiing at Belleayre. It is on a beautiful property with a great view and private pond. It is also close to the town. Very well maintained; the kitchen had everything we needed, and we enjoyed using the fireplace and pool table.

Cant wait to come back!

2 adults and 2 dogs couldn't have a better vacation. Lounging by the fire, catching some sun on the deck, taking a dip in the pond, and most of all enjoying the privacy and peace and quiet. A welcome break from the hustle of daily life. Staying at fox ridge is one of the best decisions we've made all year.

Great Spot!

We have stayed here a few times during the winter to ski at Belleayre. It's an easy drive to the mountain. The house is cozy, and the beds are warm and wonderful. I always sleep well here. The host and I communicated easily and quickly. Love the pool table in the lower floor, too!

Lovely stay in the Catskills

Such a lovely escape to Fox Ridge. We enjoyed the peaceful mornings waking up to the misty mountains and pond and the evenings in the hot tub listening to the sounds of bullfrogs and crickets. Hosts were very helpful with communication and recommendations. This was our first VRBO and it went seamlessly. We hope to come back - many thanks!

Margaretville Oasis

This is a beautiful home that is spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed with everything you need for a Catskills getaway. Proximity to Margaretville/Arkville/Andes makes it a vacation destination to be sure. The view and surroundings are breathtaking from day to night. Hot tub and pool table are the perfect amenities. The lake was wonderful for swimming. Can't wait to return.

Anniversary Vacation

Stayed with my wife and dog for 8 nights. The property with the pond is amazing. Our dog never had so much fun. The deck, hot tub, and grill were all top notch. So were the beds. Very comfortable. Had a blast. Don't hesitate to book.

Beautiful

The view from the porch should be a picture on your wall. Being able to see it in person, with the sounds of nature around you, was the perfect setting for a weekend getaway. The house was nice, clean and comfortable, though we spent most of our times outdoors. We would definitely be willing to come back again
