Quiet beauty on Tucson’s West Side
My wife and I loved it. We come to Tucson a few times a year to hike and golf and this place is perfect. Beautiful house right next to Tucson trailheads had everything we needed and Jon met us at the front door.
We usually rent places further north so we were a little concerned about getting to Starr Pass and the Marriott, where we like to indulge ourselves. But you can hike to it (a little over 2 hours) from Jon’s front door
It was a little too cold for the pool and hot tub but next time we come we will use it
My wife likes beds a little softer than Jons house had (I was fine myself) but we discovered the queen sized futon in the main bedroom was very comfy so it all worked out
All in all a great place! We will be back!
Glad you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to having you back!
Enter the Tuscon Mountain Park right around the corner from the house. A really well maintained trail system with endless miles of trails at all experience levels and elevations in this mature landscape of shrubs, plants, and trees including all varieties of cactus. I was in heaven. Went to Tombstone one day - if you haven't been, be sure to go.
The house is well laid out and has nice large windows in the back great for watching birds and small animals. Cool community of Santa Fe style homes and was a quiet neighborhood. Well-stocked kitchen, note that it is not a Smart TV but there is a small video library. My husband found the master bed to be old, uncomfortable and in need of replacement but it didn't bother me (possibly something to do with all the hiking I did). Overall a fun house and amazing hiking basically right outside the door.
Glad you enjoyed the house and all the surrounding hiking in Tucson Mt Park. Sorry to hear your husband found the bed uncomfortable; we haven’t ever had anyone mention that and we always sleep very soundly on it as well. Hopefully the 3” memory foam bed topper we recently added to the master bed was in still place too. Sincerely, Jon
Relaxing, natural retreat close to Tucson
We had a lovely stay at this peaceful home. The house was cozy and comfortable, with good wifi, a well-stocked kitchen (even a salsa maker!), and a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed feeding the birds and bunnies out back and were surprised how many there were even in the heat of June. We spent a lot of time at the large community pool just a couple of blocks away. There were no restrictions for times that our children could swim. We also enjoyed how close we were to Saguaro National Park, the Sonora Desert Museum, and Old Tucson. Tucson Mountain Park was just across the street - easy access for early morning hikes. We had intended to stay for 7 days, but were having such a nice time that we extended our visit to 10 days and the kids have already asked when we can go back again.
Property was perfect for our family. Location was less than 1 mile from center of our activities. Easy instructions to follow at check in and for check out. Property was clean. We would rent this property again.
We enjoyed our week at this property. The house was comfortable and well stocked. It had a beautiful view of mountains and was within a block of trails in Tucson Mountain Park. Many different birds and rabbits visited the back yard. At night we heard owls hooting and coyotes howling. We also enjoyed having access to the community pool which is a very nice size and always kept at the perfect temperature. We stayed here with our daughter and 6 year old grandson. We highly recommend it!
