Appalachian style hand-hewn log cabin in beautiful Hocking Hills. Located on a private ridge top with spectacular views and ultimate privacy. This unit sleeps up to six with three queen beds, one in first floor bedroom and two in the loft area.
Municipal water (not well water)!!
Well behaved pets are welcome but require an additional pet fee per reservation that will need to be selected when you make your reservation.
The three cabins are nestled on a 1/4 mile long ridge top on an 80 acre wooded property. Guests are encouraged to explore the ridge top and to take advantage of the common fire pit at the end of the ridge with a fantastic view. Each cabin also has its own private fire pit which is stocked with split firewood.
Our cabins have been built and inspected by commercial standards as required by the State of Ohio. Have peace of mind knowing your family's safety is a number one concern of ours.
This property is amazing if youâre looking someplace to stay with kids or just adults it is great all around super clean. They have utensils kitchen everything that you forgot. They have bathroom anything you may have forgotten Q-tips. They have it is fabulous. I would definitely recommend and definitely come back perfect location. Great to have a fire and family perfect.
My husband and I have a yearly tradition to come to Hocking Hills and stay at these cabins! We love the option of having dogs stay as we have brought all our dogs here every time which is so important to us to bring them. This was year 3 and we brought more of our family this time and rented out all three properties! It was so fun to have all three properties! It rained the entire time though which was a bummer. We recommend going in the Fall vs spring months. But highly highly recommend these cabins for a family trip or intimate vacation. It has everything you need. We will be back again!!! Thanks again!
We knew we wanted a great little cabin for our family vaca and this one was PERFECT! The isolation, beautiful cabin, amenities that were top notch, comfortable blankets, pillows and towels, hot tub and games helped make the stay wonderful! Each day we came home from hiking, relaxed and made dinner and just enjoyed time together! Only downfall was the price increase for more than two people to stay there when it shows it sleeps 6. Otherwise we hope to be back and will share about this cabin to our friends!
The cabin was so well-appointed with great amenities for cooking, super-comfortable beds and bedding, a million towels, and a set of towels, food bowls, and treats for our dogs. The surroundings were gorgeous and lent themselves to several wonderful hikes. Thoroughly enjoyed everything! Will return again in the future!
Great property! Loved the location. Secluded yet only 20-30 min drive to all Hocking Hills activities and towns. 10 mins from Logan. Excellent craftsmanship on the cabin. Super clean and complete amenities.
Very nice new cabin in the woods. Private setting with two other cabins on property but very far apart so you canât even see them. Interior of cabin was very nice and appreciate that the cabin was well stocked with extra toiletries, towels and some essentials in the kitchen. Would definitely stay again. Thanks for your hospitality.
What a great place to hideaway for a few days, and honestly we wish we could have stayed longer. The owners have really thought of everything - they even had a treat ready for our dog. The cabin has plenty of towels (for shower and hot tub), games, puzzles, phone chargers, and even some condiments in the fridge! We will definitely be back!
Exceptional time staying at the Tupelo cabin! This was a surprise birthday trip for my husband and he absolutely loved it. We brought along our two pugs, our cat with special needs, and our 3mo son. This cabin is simply wow â the pictures donât do it justice. From the moment we walked in and noticed the food and water bowls for our pets, I knew I had made a great choice. The beds are so comfortable, there isnât a shortage of anything you might need, and the surrounding property is breath taking. As so many others stated, the cabin is gorgeous and so clean. We didnât get a chance to sit by the fire pit outside, but the hot tub was wonderful. We also cooked hamburgers on the grill, which was a delight. Unfortunately, we had really bad luck with the local pizza joint everyone raves about and would NOT recommend it. If youâre visiting to hike, we highly recommend Old Manâs Cave and The Rock House. Ash Cave and Cedar Falls are also great and if you want a legit hike, check out Conkleâs Hollow. The bathroom is spacious and the shower is nice. The place feels like home away from home with the perfect cozy cabin feeling. Highly recommend. We will be back.
I can not say enough about how beautiful and comfortable this cabin is. When I walked into the cabin the first thing I noticed was the smell of freshly cut timber. Highlights include:
*Wifi works great
*We had phone service (Verizon)
*Free YouTube and Netflix (but we did not use them)
*The Ridge--turn right outside the cabin driveway for a breathtaking view
*Conveniently located to Logan for groceries and restaurants
*Easy to follow instructions for hot tub, fireplace and heat
*Very private
*Very comfortable bed
*Fresh supply of towels and linens
*Great place to bring your dog!
*Pizza Crossing pizza is the BEST!
*Close enough to Hocking Hills hiking and sights
*Check out the John Glenn Astronomy Park--very cool!
*Scan the QR codes to hear charming stories about the cabin.
Last but not least, the hosts were amazing! Responsive, kind, and thoughtful. We will be back!
All of the other reviews are correct - The cabin was spotless and looked brand new. There are bath towels, hot tub towels, and kitchen towels provided. There were q-tips in the bathroom, charcoal next to the grill, dry firewood and kindling.
There are only three cabins on 90 acres so we felt very secluded and private, yet major chain stores are only 8 minutes away in Logan.
The driveway winds about 300 yards up to the top of the ridge and is gravel. It is very well maintained and shouldn't be a problem for any vehicle during the non-winter months.
We were very pleased with the quality, location, and privacy of the cabin.
We stayed in the cabin for a long weekend to spend some time with our oldest son who is at OU. The cabin is amazing and just as it was described on the site. Beautiful views from the ridge and a perfect place to stay. We'll definitely be back.
My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay at this log cabin. Beautifully built, clean, private location and relatively close to all the Hocking Hills sights made for an enjoyable getaway! Would recommend to everyone.
My wife and three daughters and two dogs had a fantastic short weekend stay at the Tupelo Cabin. Everything we needed was on the property -- there was a fire pit, cornhole set, grill (with charcoal included!), and a hot tub. The Cabin (which looks brand new) was immaculate and very comfortable. I enjoyed sitting on the porch on the rocking chair with my coffee in the morning. The beds were comfortable as well. We appreciated the dog snacks and tennis ball for our pooches. The Cabin is very convenient to Hocking Hills -- only a 10-15 minute drive. We definitely will consider coming back in the future -- thank you!
We loved the seclusion of the property being surrounded by the peaceful woods and the rustic cabin feel . We relaxed in the hot tub and enjoyed the evenings sitting outside around the bonfire .We also enjoyed our hikes in the Hocking Hills area and will plan to come back again with family and friends.
Cabin is as advertised! Beautifully decorated with comfy beds and lovely sheets/towels. The kitchen was well equipped with the basics on hand (sugar, oil, a few spices and condiments). Our kids had a great time exploring the area around the property including a hiking path. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking and exploring. We loved that despite feeling out in the wilderness, the cabin was a short drive to the grocery store in Logan and Old Man's Cave. We'd definitely come stay here again!
Gorgeous House and large secluded property! We all had a wonderful time building camp fires and relaxing in the hot tub. Great host and customer service. Will definitely book again! Thanks
I thoroughly enjoyed my 4 night stay at this lovely cottage in then woods with my friend and 2 dogs. It is a gorgeous cottage and location. Beautifully appointed with everything you need. Quality linens and towels and very clean including the hot tub. Morning walks to a view of the hills and cows grazing was a plus! Nice drive to the state park for hiking then away from the crowds back to the peace and quiet of the cottage. The owners are a nice family that was very attentive to our needs and was quick to respond to any issues. I am definitely renting here again
Ben and Katie have been loving nature and each other for over 20 years. Both Plant Biologist by training, they were more than excited to get the opportunity to become stewards of the land and test their skills as entrepreneurs. Their new baby girl, Ada, gladly joins them on this and any adventure and they wouldn't have it any other way.
Phil won Lynn's heart the day he came to remodel her house. Five dogs and over thirty years of teaching later, Lynn was ready to retire to the woods bringing all her creativity and exceptional taste with her. After getting a few houses under his belt (over fifty!) Phil decided to join Lynn in retirement and saved the best for last with our perfect cabins. Somewhat of an introvert, Leonard their loyal pup, has been the perfect silent partner.
In 2016 the acreage was agonizingly (but judiciously) timbered. When the opportunity came to manage the land, we just couldn't resist. Our intentions were simple - nourish and sustain the property in order for ourselves, our guests, and all other living things to cherish for years to come.
The cabin's main structure is constructed of hand hewn logs (literally with an axe!) that were made to specification from Virginia. The walls alone are pieces of art. The rest of the building was completed by us keeping in mind the character of the cabin, while adding modern amenities. We were even able to utilize lumber from the property to hand construct wall panels and furniture. The craftmanship is unmatched.
