Stunning solar powered Mountain View Cabin has everything you need for your stay in the Western Mountains of Maine. This cabin is nestled on a private wooded lot with amazing mountain views.
Located in beautiful Upton Maine, with close proximity to Lake Umbagog, Grafton Notch State Park, the AT trail system and the NH Border. Whether you are fishing, boating, hunting, hiking or sight-seeing, this cabin will not disappoint.
The cabin features fully appointed kitchen, 1st floor bedroom with a queen bed, large sleeping loft with a queen bed and a twin bed, pullout queen sofa bed and 1 full bathroom. It also has a screened in porch where you can relax, kick back and take in the breath-taking views.
Come experience solar powered off grid living at its best here is Upton Maine.
NOTE: Wi-Fi is not recommended for Work from home scenarios as it is satellite with limited bandwidth. It is great for use in checking daily activities, email or general use.

Amenities include propane hearthstone stove, hot/cold water, propane full size stove/oven, full size refrigerator. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, bowls, cups and utensils. Outside there is a stone firepit, picnic table, horseshoe pit and private grassy yard.

Anniversary with Foliage!

Cabin was perfect for our trip to Grafton Notch State Park. Cabin has everything you need, and located in the middle of most hikes, falls, lakes and rivers. Had a great time!

Quiet, relaxed and peaceful

We were looking for a quiet place in Maine and this place was perfect! We enjoyed local hikes, restaurants a few miles away, saw some moose at dusk and just hanging out and playing some board games! Very appreciative of our thoughtful hosts who were very responsive. We had a great time! Would definitely stay here again. Thank you

Great Trout Cabin!

Awesome small cabin in the best area of Maine for trout fishing this time of year. Beautiful view of the mountains. Conveniently located near the Magalloway, Androscoggin and Rapid rivers. Host was extremely responsive to questions. Will definitely return!

Beautiful cabin

The cabin was the perfect place for our getaway. It was meticulously outfitted, very clean and a great location for us. We were kayaking in Lake Umbagog and hiking at Grafton Notch State Park. It’s a lovely area to enjoy the outdoors.

Short and sweet<

What an incredible place, a solar cabin! Outfitted with quality linens, utensils and furnishings in a hunting motif. The owners have thought of everything! Less than 1/2 hour from Bethel but feels remote. We enjoyed hiking, some shopping, swimming in the lake but the best part was just being at the cabin, Thank you.

The Perfect Getaway!

My husband and I stayed here for a short getaway after we were married- the cabin was absolutely immaculate, and is quaint with wonderful views. The weather we had was not the best, but with the screened in attached porch we were able to enjoy the storms and still be outside and unplugged. It was very close to several incredible hiking trails and falls, and was a beautiful scenic drive into Bethel for dinner. Keith and Marybeth were exceptionally responsive and thoughtful- we would love nothing more than to come back for another stay very soon!

Great location

Great property with everything you could want. Location was ideal for walking and exploring this beautiful part of the USA. Really enjoyed the fact the property is off grid and powered by solar energy.

Loved it!

My boyfriend and I had such a great time staying here. The cabin has a terrific location with beautiful views, especially with the leaves changing color! It was the perfect place to unwind, and the house has everything you need. Very cool experience to live "off the grid" but to have solar power for basic needs. Overall we loved it and want to visit again! Thanks for everything.

Beautiful Place

Very comfortable, very warm, and cozy. Great location. Grafton's Notch is an amazing place right down the road. Highway 26 is rated one of the best roads to see fall foliage. Just really enjoyed it and had a great time. Thank you.

Beautiful View with Some Issues

What do you think The cabin is very comfortable and the view is quite beautiful. The areas around Upton are wonderful to drive around with many accessible hikes of varying difficulty. The nearby lake is wonderful as well as a terrific place to kayak. We were also bothered by the fact that the Wifi was not unlimited as the posting would indicate but had to be increased by the owners as soon as we got there and twice more, even though our usage was quite reasonable. In addition, the electricity went off three times requiring numerous visits by the owners. So, while the owners where quite responsive, we felt the posting was not entirely accurate and complete. Still, a physically stunning place to stay.

A Place to Reconnect

This cabin is the perfect place for our family to reconnect yearly. The quiet remote location is ideal for coffee and a campfire, a friendly game of Cornhole, and just hanging out! We love it here!

You know you've picked the right place when you tear up just walking through the front door. This cabin is gorgeous and fully equipped. The mountain views are beautiful! My two sisters, our mother, and myself had a great, relaxing time reconnecting, and look forward to returning next year!

Lovely stay in the mountains

My friend and I stayed for a week at the cabin, and would gladly stay there again. The cabin itself is spacious, comfortable and quite new, and has everything you could possibly need. I especially like that it is completely powered by solar. The view out to the mountains is lovely and always changing with time of day and weather. We went hiking or canoeing almost every day and never had to drive very far to get to a trailhead or Lake Umbagog. Especially useful was a guide to waterfalls in the area that was in the information notebook - we hiked to several of them and might not have known they were there. Keith and MaryBeth were perfect hosts and responded immediately to any of our questions or concerns. We felt very welcome there. Thank you!

This property was very clean and well maintained. It had everything you needed for a get away. The views were amazing. We are already planning our next get away to the Mountain View Cabin.

This is a gorgeous “off the grid” cabin . Keith has it very well appointed with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Sunset views are beautiful! We can’t wait to come back!

Fishing trip

Had a great time staying at this wonderful property! Super clean , comfy and close to Lake Umbagog. The cabin had everything we needed and more . The owner checked in each day to make sure there was no problems. Great place to sit and enjoy the views as well . I’ll be back because this was an amazing weekend . Finally, a great place to stay if you like to hike. See you on the water

Beautiful view and relaxing getaway

This cabin is perfectly located in mountains with stunning views of the mountains, and beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Peaceful, secluded and very quiet. Cabin is tastefully decorated with log cabin feel, all new appliances and extremely clean and comfortable. Several trails and lakes nearby. A little bit of a drive to nearby towns but well worth the ride taking in the stunning Mountain View’s. The owners could not be nicer and quick to respond to any questions we had. We will definitely return!!
