This first story 1500 sq ft apartment is convenient to downtown Waterbury and is walking distance to several great restaurants and bars. The home is only a minute off the highway 89, a few minutes to Ben and Jerrys and 15 minutes to Stowe and Waitsfield. There is plenty of off street parking.
We absolutely loved this apartment. It's convenient to all locations, well laid out, fully stocked, clean, with charm. They have obviously gone to great means to remodel this old house and the quaint Vermont touches are just right. Large kitchen with new appliances, washer/dryer, and comfortable beds. Wonderful front covered porch to watch the world go by, and the dining room and living room are lovely. We give it a great review, and hopefully, we'll be back.
On the upside, house is in great location to restaurants and bars in center of town. House very clean, true to pictures. We were there for 2 nights worked well for us. Downside, bed needs upgrade, a/c units not in windows yet. It didn't state they weren't in the windows. That being said, I would stay again but bring mattress topper.
What a cool house with a combination of old school Vermont and new upgraded kitchen. Lots of room and comfort. We went for a week of skiing with Bolton Valley less than 20 minutes away and Sugarbush less than 30. What really put the trip over the top was the proximity to fantastic restaurants and bars for the apres ski. Book this with confidence.
Property worked for our purposes - x-large space, a bit-dated decor/furniture, kitchen was nice and new, mattresses could use updating, needed some blinds in the dinning room (felt like the neighborhood was able to watch us), and some items needed a deep clean (washer, shower mat). Location is great, and check in process was super easy. Not sure it can truly accommodate 6 as currently set up - we had 5 and there was no bed for a 6th person. With some tweaks, weâd stay there again.
Very comfortable and spacious apartment.Plenty of parking. Can walk easily to downtown Waterbury and a short drive for stores and activities. Host responsive to our needs.
My group stayed here to ski stowe for a few days and had a great time! Great location, spacious, clean apartment. It was a great place to come back to after a day on the mountain.
Home is very close to business area of historic Waterbury. Quaint and quiet location with very updated kitchen and pretty basic bedrooms and bath. Lots and lots of space. Huge dining room and generous living room and smaller back room. Probably better for a family than just two. Location is great for attractions in Stowe and close enough to Shelburne and Burlington.
Myself and my family had an excellent time at this property. It had a ton of space that we would otherwise never have enjoyed, and it was clean. Wifi was good, amenities were excellent. We also enjoyed the town, as we could walk into town and find excellent dining options. The next time we visit, we would not hesitate to stay here.
We very much enjoyed our day in this beautiful renovated home. One block away from everything that Waterbury has to offer. Tim, the owner, was responsive and easy to work with. Large comfortable space to stay. Laundry and air-conditioning were much appreciated as was the Keurig coffee maker.
Very spacious downstairs apartment. Everything is provided. Cookware, towels, etc. Walkable to restaurants in downtown Waterbury. Would stay again and recommend.
This was a great stay! The location was perfect, walkable to shops and restaurants. Locals seemed super friendly. All round great. The apartment was huge and served it's purpose, but parts of it just felt a bit strange. Like the matchstick favours from a wedding in the 80's in the coffee storage jar. It was super quaint though and clean enough.if you're expecting a sparkling clean and minimalist apartment - Don't stay here... but if you want somewhere quirky to stay in a good location with the essentials this place is perfect. It just needs a little love âșïž
Cute, spacious apartment in a great location, filled with nice antiques and collectibles. Housekeeping was severely lacking as there was visible dust on all the furniture, cobwebs in the closets, in the showers, and behind furniture. Pillows and linens were old and shabby. No washcloths were available. Toaster\oven in kitchen was very dirty and filled with food crumbs.
The location is amazing - downtown Waterbury, a very short walk to the city center.
- House is very nice looking from the outside, and spacious. Has that historical New England look and feel.
- Check-in process was quick and easy - just a key code to the door. So far, it's a solid 5/5 for the rating.
- That's until you use one of the two washrooms: one washroom is absolutely filthy - dirt, construction dust and grime on all surfaces. I have pictures to prove it, but this site doesn't allow that.
- There was a strong chemical smell - epoxy resin/glue - that you could not ignore, and that gave me headaches - I could not wait to leave.
I'd consider going back if the unit was properly clean and didn't reek of an epoxy resin smell. Had I know that before booking, I would definitely have stayed elsewhere and had a much more enjoyable visit.
