As soon as you arrive, you will be greeted by the welcoming exterior and spacious front porch with a gas grill that is more than ready to assist in casual cookouts in the fresh air. Rejuvenate in the bubbling hot tub in the morning, then again after a fun-filled day.

Step inside and you will be spoiled in no time with ample natural light flooding through large windows, an airy ambiance created by tall vaulted ceilings, and modern comforts including a full kitchen, free WiFi, and flatscreen TVs throughout. When you want to soak up a bit of sunshine, grab a book and a cup of coffee and make your way into the sunroom for a quiet morning of reading or an evening of taking in the sunset. With so much to see and do right at your fingertips, you will have no trouble filling each day with fun.

Anniversary getaway

We loved the location, the house, the fenced yard for our dog. Gounds were green and forested. Neighborhood was super quiet. Hot tub was clean and clear. Home was lovely, uncluttered, but we had everything we needed. Great spot to relax! Only thing was the tv in family room was not picking up any signals.

Relaxing comfortable home

This home is super private in a quiet neighborhood.. fully fenced and secure lawn. Comfortable beds. Great kitchen and areas to relax inside and out. We had a great time.

Private setting - great getaway

We appreciated the new carpeting since our last stay. Love the two separate living spaces for separation purposes. Didn't enjoy the ants or fleas we encountered, but didn't want the property manager to set off a pest bomb while we were there either. They said they'd take care of it afterwards. The kitchen cupboards are poorly organized but the overall experience was a great.

Relaxing getaway

We had a great weekend relaxing at this property. It is very close to the beach as well as Restaurants/shopping in Florence. The hot tub is a great way to unwind at the end of the day.

The good, the bad, and the ugly

We loved:*New carpet! (No shoes allowed indoors, so be aware.)*The heated massage chairs were awesome!*Lights and fan switches are well labeled.*Bed mattresses are very firm.*Hot tub was clean and at the right temp. Unfortunately, no overhead cover in case of frequent rain, and lighting was so poor it was unsafe to get into the hot tub at night.*Loved huge windows and skylights.We disliked:*No instructions on how to use pellet stove. Would have been very helpful because the house was set to 50 deg when we walked in. Took several hours to warm up to 65 deg.*All woodwork, trim, cabinets, & drawers are filthy from greasy, dirty hands. Needs to be deep cleaned or refinished.*No walk-in shower. Tub is 1990s style w/ sliding glass/metal shower door. Tub floor is slippery. No rubber mat for the tub floor.*Master bath only has toilet/sink. Should convert master bath closet to walk-in shower.*Bath towels thin, well worn, stained. Need replaced. Only 2 bath towels for 2 people for 3 days/nights. No extras.*Bedsheets rough and thin, well worn and stained. Need replaced.*Only 1-ply toilet paper provided, and no kleenex.*Wall paint needs redone or retouched. Many marks/stains.*Creepy video camera in main living area watching us. No notice about that. Made us feel very uncomfortable.

Nice home

We live in Florence and needed a place to stay while our floors were being replaced. This home was much nicer than staying in a hotel for a similar price.

Disabled accessibility review

I preface this review by saying I am 72 years old have intrasticular lung disease., brought on by an industrial accident. I walk with a mobility walker with a seat and am on oxygen 24/7. We brought my oxygen concentrator from home. With a 50 foot cannula I was able to access the total house. The home is very open and maneuverable with a walker. The counters are a good height and the transition from carpet to tile was smooth. I took the front bedroom. Both bathroom have good access. The massage/heated chairs in the TV room are heaven and had me scanning the internet for them to purchase my own. I have good core strength so transfer to chairs is okay for me. We had a lovely time and we will go back to The Chalet again. I noticed on other reviews the owner took the advice of the reviewers. I have privately added my concerns about access to them.

Perfect getaway!

Property just as listed. The hot tub and recliners with massage and heat features were extra special. The only thing that would make us come back would be a king size bed. Thank you for sharing this lovely home!

Hard to make changes to reservation

All was fine except I was put through a lot of text and phone calls just to add our 2 dogs to the reservation. At one time, I was sent the updated charge, but I was charged twice for the pet fees, and had to call once again to get that straightened out. Just was annoying. Property was great, but there was a stain on the carpet right near the entrance. Didn't want to be blamed, as my dog didn't do it, so I took pictures right away and have them if needed. It looks bad to walk in and see a stain right away, so I would suggest better carpet cleaning, or toss a throw rug over it. Did love the nice secluded, private feeling of the place, and it had all the amenities needed.

Florence Chalet

The whole house was awesome, very clean and the beds were very comfy...we were very comfortable. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with everything we needed and then some.The hot tub was great and we used it every day!!!

All We Had Hoped For!

What a cozy and inviting place to be. The kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable, home was spotless and nice furniture to relax on. We loved the jacuzzi and used it daily. The heating recliners felt wonderful. Loved the location to Bay St., Hecita Beach and shopping. We have rented a home on the coast for the past three years and this place was perfect! If I had any improvements to mention it would have to be a later check out. It was hard to get up and out by 10:00. Most other places we have rented are at 11:00. We did have difficulty getting the pellet stove to work, contacted someone who tried to help us, but it never worked for us. I’m sure it was us not knowing what we were doing, but we couldn’t get it to stay on. The weather stayed super nice everyday and so we never got too cold. I also want to mention how efficient contact sources were. We never felt like we couldn’t get in touch with someone and the reminders on our phone for checking in and checkout was nice. We had a wonderful vacation and he hope to return again soon! Jerry, Dianne, Ginny & Tony

Wonderful home!

We stayed for two nights as a stopping point driving the coast and didn’t want to leave, the location and amenities are wonderful. Private yard. The house was very clean. You can tell the owners really love the place. Highly recommend!

Cute but management needs to do better!!

The house was cute and it was tidy inside. Where they lacked attention was the outside. The hot tub was disgusting. It was cloudy and had nasty particles that looked like skin particles floating in it. We had to remove the filter and clean it ourselves so that we could enjoy the tub for the rest of our stay after letting it run/filter over night and through the next day. It was apparent that the filter had not been cleaned in a long time when we removed it. Additionally, the prior renters left their dog excrement and housekeeping or management didn’t pick it up - leaving it for us to have to pick up. The lawn in the backyard where we planned to hang out was over grown and in much need of mowing so we used the front yard instead. All this to say is whomever is responsible for maintaining this house needs to do better!
