Welcome to 'lil seabiscuit' our wonderful beachfront cottage! This 2 bedroom 2 full bath home is very special. This is a magical property where you have the best of both worlds - vegetation & oceanfront in your back yard!

When you approach the home, you will appreciate the 'curb' appeal as the beautiful landscaping welcome you!

When you enter, you will be embraced with hard woods throughout the home (over 125 years old!) and a warm but coastal and fun feel interior. The kitchen/dining as you enter, living room to your left (ocean side). Past the living room, you'll enter the Master Bedroom which has a lovely en suite bathroom.
Off of the kitchen, the 2nd Bedroom and Full Bathroom will be found with it's own theme you will enjoy! The living room couch pulls out into a Queen Sofa Bed for a 3rd couple/child(ren)/single, etc. We provide all linens and towels for your ease and comfort, along with the essentials to get you started!

The oceanside of the house will amaze you as it is purely sliding glass (hurricane proof!) doors - you have a view of the ocean from basically anywhere in the home! Curtains you can draw as you wish throughout.

A fully operational kitchen is available for those who want to just stay home and cook/grill and enjoy the ocean breeze while sitting on the back deck! Sunsets are NOT to be missed! No need to leave as you'll have everything you need when you arrive at 'lil seabiscuit'! Beach chairs/towels are available for your stay along with some beach toys. Fire pit available, Adirondack chairs, loungers, outdoor dining on deck, you will be able to appreciate the sight, smell and feel of mother nature. However, if you don't feel like cooking there are plenty of amazing restaurants (even in walking distance!) to explore!

We hope you come visit this special cottage (we got married here so if you're looking for a wedding venue, definitely please reach out!). This is a place where very many memories have been made for us, friends and family, and we know your visit will create special memories in wonderful Oak Island for you as well!

Baby’s first beach trip

We booked the lil Seabiscuit for a quick family getaway. It was the perfect stay! Amazing deck space and right off the sand, which is what we were looking for. Will definitely look to stay here again in the future!

Relaxation at it’s finest!!!

My daughter needed some sea therapy, and I found this house which was PERFECTION! Jackie was a dream to work with, and she made the process of booking, enjoying our stay with treats, and checking out seamless. The house is exactly as described, and we enjoyed every minute of our short getaway! I will definitely book again! Thank you Jason and Jackie for opening this house to us, we look forward to visiting again!

Wonderful getaway—perfect spot to relax and unwind

We had a wonderful experience all throughout starting with renting this beautiful cottage - excellent communication leading up to and during our stay. The pictures are spot on and as soon as we walked through the doors we felt at home. We could tell that the owners took special care of all the details and comforts. We loved being able to walk out to the beach whenever we wanted to. The views are breathtaking. We highly recommend staying here and plan to come back soon.

Perfect beach get away

House is so charming. It has been lovingly updated and is the perfect stay for 2 people and maybe 2 young children. Fully equipped with everything you would need. The owner was great to deal with and very responsive. Couldn’t have picked a better place. Beach is just a short walk over the dune path. Bed was very comfy and A/C kept the house nice and cool from the heat outside. Would definitely stay here again

Cozy, comfortable cottage plus curious crabs

Fantastic location with excellent beach access. Well-maintained, clean, and cool cottage. Close to plenty of restaurants, both on the island and in Southport. We were pleasantly surprised to find the second bedroom slightly larger than depicted in description (the room has a bed and a dresser; in the photo online it looked like the bed filled the entire room without any room to move around). Beach Day fireworks on July 1 were a pleasant surprise. The pier is exactly .5 of a mile from beach access, making for an easy evening walk. Daylilies and roses in a well-kept garden in front of the home are a nice touch, too.

a week at the perfect beach cottage

My sister and I stayed for seven nights at this cottage on a North Carolina barrier island. We have rented similar places several Aprils in the past. Lil Seabiscuit was far superior to any other experience in both comfort and class. The owners have thought of everything! And when we ran into a problem with the hot water, they helped me solve it immediately, even though they were in Japan at a fancy dinner! Our best experienfe ever!

Outstanding OKI Retreat

My 3 children and I had the best time and made wonderful memories at lil seabiscuit. Jackie was communicative and everything was written out for us to make our arrival and departure easy. It is the cleanest place with some special features. The little extras are evident throughout. We immediately fell in love with the lovely beach cottage, its layout, comfort in all spaces, the beautiful deck and being on the ocean was incredible convenient for morning sunrise walks, beach afternoons and sunsets to die for. The kitchen is fully stocked for all cooking needs. Having beach chairs and toys was also a bonus! If you have a small family or group you won’t find anything better! We can’t wait to come back!

Great little house!

Our stay was really nice. The house was beautiful and well maintained. Access to the beachs and location were really nice. Only downside is that the Second bedroom is really small. We have two younger boys and they both had to share the bed because there was no room even for a sleeping bag on the floor. Outside of the size of the second bedroom the place is a real find.

Just perfect

The cleanest, best equipped and most stylish rental we have ever stayed in. Beachfront location with water views from the deck and living room make this a really great place to spend time - even in the rain we enjoyed looking at the ocean from inside the house. Jacqueline is a superb host who is responsive and provides clear communication. Also, she provided an excellent guide to the house which explains everything. The second bedroom is a bit small, but in spite of that, the house is very comfortable and accommodating for two couples. This was a five star experience in every way - we can't wait to stay here again!!!

We had the best time staying at this adorable cottage. We can tell the owners genuinely care that we were comfortable and taken care of. The cottage has so much character and the deck was our absolute favorite spot. We loved it most because it’s oceanfront and the perfect size for our family of four. Our daughters are 7 and 10 and shared the second bedroom comfortably. The cottage was clean and cozy. The owners are over the top nice. Our vacation was everything we hoped for and more. We are so grateful we found lil’sea biscuit. (The only downside was the construction noise one home over but that’s completely out of the owner’s control. We adapted and drowned it out by playing music on the deck but just a heads up, that home should be completed soon it looked like.) Thankfully our last two days fell on the weekend and they didn’t work on those days. We highly recommend this cottage and hope to be back. Thank you Jackie and Jason !!! We appreciate you both and how thoughtful y’all are.

Beach Life

We had a wonderful stay at this property on Oak Island. The oceanfront home was beautifully appointed and spotless. The hosts were fantaastic, responding instantly to all questions.
