Located next to the Ottawa National Forest, this LOWER LEVEL space in our home that we live in full time is perfect for multiple guests and people seeking the outdoors.There are two bedrooms, a living room with a gas fireplace and cable television, WI-FI, bathroom, and dining area with a microwave and mini fridge. The Cisco Chain of Lakes (Bents Camp) is easily accessed nearby. Fish cleaning station available.Snowmobiling, hiking and swimming in the Sylvania Wilderness Area near by. There is plenty of parking for boats and snowmobile trailers. Kayak and canoe rental are available for guests. Kayaks are 35.00 per day and the canoe is 50.00 per day . Grouse hunters and their dogs are welcomed. Heated shed/kennel for dogs.

Space for overflow guests

We rented the VRBO for overflow guests. The proximity to our house worked well for us. The VRBO has limited cooking options but that wasn’t a problem as the guests came to our house to eat. They seemed to enjoy their stay at the VRBO.

Denny was a great host, Very clean and comfortable cabin not far off snowmobile trail (even shorter if you take shortcut onto lake at bridge) Plenty of room for truck and trailers. Beds were comfortable. Would stay again

Perfect Location

We had an event Saturday night in the Land O Lakes area and the location of the VRBO was perfect. Dennis was quick with responses to my questions. The home had everything we needed. Will definitely stay again next time we are in the area.

Very Clean Lower-Level Stay at Land O’ Lakes

We had a lovely time staying at Land O’ Lakes! The hosts have converted their lower level into a 2-bedroom 1-bath VRBO. There is a curtain that separates you from the hosts (living upstairs) for privacy. The accommodations were immaculate, the hosts were incredibly friendly, and the area was perfect. Thank you for hosting us!

Awesome property, awesome hosts, awesome location.

The place was immaculately clean and top shelf decorated… they spared no expense to make it feel comfortable and Royal. Our hosts were very accommodating and made us feel welcome and appreciated. Every morning we woke up to see dear out the window, birds at the feeders, and squirrels in the trees, which added to our excellent experience. We will definitely return and always stay at their place.

Home in the Woods

My parents, husband and I enjoyed our 1 night stay before picking our daughter up at camp. The space is well appointed, spacious with friendly and accommodating hosts. Very responsive. Beautiful piece of property on the Michigan/Wisconsin border. Best to arrive during the daylight hours if possible for easiest driving.

Read details carefully

I didn’t read carefully and did not realize we were staying in someone’s basement while they lived upstairs!! My hubby was not impressed nor could he get comfortable with the situation. Owners were nice just not for us. Property was clean nice and comfy I read there was a grill outdoor fire pit and was looking to sit back relax and plan our next day Instead we check out the local bar met some good ppl and great bartender!! My only recommendation besides making the accommodations a little more clear would be invest in a generator!! There was a storm during the night and power was lost woke up packed and left live and learn!! Happy Travels All!!

Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to share your experience. We are happy to hear that you found the space clean and comfortable and you enjoyed the local area! We do note in the listing that the rental is in the lower level of our home and we reside here. We do want guests to make the best choice for their needs. We certainly understand that this setup isn’t for everyone and we are sorry it didn’t quite fit what you were expecting. As for the power outage, storms do occasionally roll through the Northwoods which can affect electricity. It is part of the rustic beauty of the area, but we understand it can be inconvenient. We have considered a generator, but since it can be quite loud and could disturb guests during the night, we have held off for now. That said, your input is appreciated and will be kept in mind moving forward. We wish you all the best in future travels, and thank you again for staying with us.

Not private

We did not end up going because after speaking to the homeowner this is not a private property. It is the bottom level of a trilevel home with no private door to the area you’re staying in. The description of the home should’ve said that and it was too late for me to get a refund.

If you would have read the description of the property . It states that it is the lower level of the house. You knew that during our conversation weeks before you canceled on the date of check in. You were also upset that I wouldn’t rent you my ATV and UTV. I have been doing this for six years and I can honestly say. You were the most difficult guest I had to deal with. We try very very hard to accommodate our guests and we have for over six years with outstanding reviews.

It was great staying at this property with several of our friends period I would recommend this location if you are in the area and would like a place to have as a base camp. Very clean, It was nice to get to know our hosts. This Reminds me of a bed and breakfast, the guest area was in the lower level of the main house. There were two bedrooms, a living room, bathroom, and a small area that you could use for making sandwiches or other types of small meals that you do not need a stove for. Had a coffee maker, crockpot, pizza maker fridge, plates and utensils. There is not a door separating the lower level and upper level, only a curtain. You do have privacy in your bedrooms, and bathroom. There is also a firepit. We would definitely like to stay here again.

Hello and thank you so much at looking at my VRBO rental. I always have a hard time talking about myself but here it goes. I moved up to northern WI. to get away from the hustle and bustle of living near Madison, WI. At my age I figured if I don’t do the move now I’ll never do it. So here I am and I absolutely love it. I’ve gained so much more respect of the beauty that this area has to offer. I love to hike and really love to fish. I’m getting to know the area lakes quite well as well as the great hiking trails. I recently built a new outbuilding on the property that is my wood working shop. I build outdoor furniture which is getting to be rather popular around the area up here. I have two grown kids and recently became a grandfather. Love when all the family comes up. I really enjoy having guests stay here . Love getting to know them and listening to their stories. . Again . I really appreciate you looking at my place and really hope to see you and get to know you. I hope you have some good stories. Thanks again. Denny
