Welcome to Timberline Trails on the Black River- The Redwood Cabin. As you pull into the private drive, you will discover a rustic cabin with a large cedar post wrap-around porch. Step inside the cabin to escape from the everyday hustle. This location has it all- 3 bedrooms (one queen bed, one twin bunk, and a king bed in the loft), 1 full bathroom (complete with a rustic whiskey barrel sink), a full kitchen (with limited pantry), and a charcoal grill and fire pit outside. It offers privacy and plenty of space to unwind inside or out. There is also a RV site available alongside the cabin for your camper for an additional fee. Did I mention it's located just a hop, skip, & jump from the crystal clear Black River? River access included at Brawley Hollow. Come explore nature, relax by the campfire, or soak up the sun at the river. Timberline Trails await you.
This is the best place to get your family together and family members off devices. I hope the owners never get Wi-Fi or cell service to the cabin. Godâs country is beautiful!
This was our 2nd time staying at the cabin. Location is perfect! You can walk to the river and enjoy a swim, rope swing & exploring!
Cabin is equipped with everything one needs, AC works great, clean & an amazing porch to sit and enjoy family!
We loved the cabin, it was clean and well kept. Google maps led us astray, but I called the owner and she got us right there. I loved the location, but wish it wasnât such a long gravel road to get there. Iâll still go back anyway!
Wonderful place to stay while kayaking the Black River. Clean, well stocked, super communication from the host. If you are looking for a very quiet cabin and the serenity of the woods, look no further.
One of the most relaxing and peaceful vacations we've ever had. The host, Heather, was available for any questions and her personal touches at the cabin were appreciated...so thoughtful!
The cabin and the property the cabin was on was absolutely serene and beautiful! I loved the privacy and living in nature. The cabin itself is clean and so nicely put together. This is just enough to enjoy a few days "off the grid." We will definitely be staying here again in the future!
Great proximity to the Black River and private gravel bar. Secluded and quiet. The gravel road wasn't that bad! We had a truck and a Toyota Corolla. Just don't try to turn in the first entrance, pass the cabin then turn! Nice to unplug as a family!
Our family had an awesome stay here! Super cozy cabin. The location is remote - down a long gravel road - we drove the truck, but I think a mini van could have made it just fine. The cabin is very close to the Black River with beautiful beach access.
We would definitely come back again!
My only complaint is that the light fixtures and fans were very dirty with lots of spiderwebs. Wonderful cabin, but could use a deeper cleaning.
Great little cabin, secluded and quiet. Just a short drive on the side by side to the Black River. The river access is beautiful and quiet during the week. The AC at the cabin works great! And sitting on the front porch was relaxing. The shower water pressure was nice, but the kitchen sink water pressure was really low, hard to wash dishes. Otherwise it was a great stay!
We had a lovely time at the cabin! We stayed for the total eclipse and enjoyed a quiet private viewing in the woods! Our two little dogs were very happy at the property. The road leading down is a little bit rough, but that is the last 3 mile leg of the journey. You can hike up a nearby hill for cell reception if you need to connect, but the best part of this cabin was unplugging and relaxing. The short walk down the road leads to the large gravel riverbank. Fun for fossil hunting, skipping rocks, and fishing! Thank you for your hospitality!
Our trip was unfortunately cut short due to forecasts of large amounts of rain and possible flooding but the owner was amazing to work with and very understanding. The cabin is rustic, cozy, and spotless. The walk to the river was calm and beautiful, about a 1/4 mile down the rock road. For the short time we were there we loved it! The gravel drive is long but managable. Thanks again for everything!
We needed a reset from everyday life. The cabin was beautiful the porch is amazing! We enjoyed the river itâs one of my favorite rivers. Itâs crystal clear and we love trying to find amazing rocks and arrow heads. Heather the owner has the house stocked with things you need. Itâs best to travel to Ellington for groceries as there is only a dollar general in Annapolis. If you can float or canoe the river itâs a great experience! We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back!
We celebrated my sonâs 14th birthday with a weekend stay in the cabin and kayak trip from Jeffâs Canoe Rental. It was perfect!! Cabin had everything we needed including firewood. We fished, saw wildlife (buck whitetail crossed the river), lots card games, ate well, roasted hotdogs/marshmallows over the fire, and talked to each other lots! Very comfy beds. Very welcoming decor. Kitchen even had crock pot for a meal to cook while we floated. Highly recommend. My husband already asked when we were going again. Much easier than camping!
