The Hart Flat Hacienda is a ranch retreat nestled in the Tehachapi Mountains. The 4 bedroom, 2.5 baths home sits on a 1,000 acre cattle ranch, in operation since the 1800s. The Hacienda overlooks a pool & hot tub with fire pit, pergola with swinging bed and hanging macrame chairs. Watch the sunrise over the mountains, with coffee on the Spanish-Style patio or take an afternoon hike to watch the sunset. Mountain bike trails, horse stalls, wildlife & so much more! Enjoy the privacy & restore!

The Hacienda
The home is a Spanish-Style Ranch Home, true to the California Ranch lifestyle. Enjoy the earthen colors & warm furnishings, inspired by the natural surroundings. All mattresses are memory foam and each room has its own unique style. The home is perfect for bridal showers, small retreats, family vacations, mountain biking getaways & horseback riding adventures. The property offers a corral, with water and shelter for our visiting equestrians.

Other Property Features:
The Hacienda is surrounded by an operational 1,000 acre cattle ranch. Guests are welcome to explore the property via bike, hike, vehicle and horseback. There are miles of natural surface roads and trails that are perfect for biking, hiking and riding (Additional release waivers required). The property has tons of wildlife, native trees, wildflowers and views for days! There is ample parking for vehicles and trailers!

Additional Notes:
Property is equipped with exterior security cameras and interior alarm system for security purposes. The property hosts are committed to quality and providing an experience of excellence.

While this is a new property to the vacation rental market, the hosts are local business owners, commercial property managers and well known in the Tehachapi & Keene Communities. They care deeply about their clients and are all about happy guests and building lasting memories!

Absolutely Perfect

My team of drone pilots is in Tehachapi working on wildfire mitigation efforts by inspecting power lines. Due to the nature of our work, we are forced to live on the road for the year, often times in hotels. Staying at the Ranch Retreat has been such an amazing treat for us. It’s quiet, plenty of parking for our work and personal vehicles, and the property and house are beyond top of the line. Karen has been INCREDIBLY helpful and responds instantly to any needs, and ensures they are taken care of immediately. If I could give the property, and the service 6 stars, I would. Highly highly recommend!!

Awesome House

My Family stayed at the Hacienda for a wedding and had a blast. The home was beautiful and we loved the huge kitchen. The front yard has great views. We loved hearing the chickens and rooster in the morning. We will be back! Andy

We are already planning our next visit!

This property provided the perfect space for us to relax. It was just my husband and I but we could have had the whole family and been comfortable with space both inside and outside. The pool and patio was perfect with the afternoon sun we just sat and enjoyed the quiet! I would recommend this property to anyone looking to recharge and restore!

Best of both worlds!

This property is amazing! Stepping through the front door is like stepping into the pages of a magazine! Nikki and her team have successfully created an upscale, yet cozy, retreat that allows you to get away from the fast-pace of the everyday without feeling deprived of any creature comforts. The home is spacious and thoughtfully designed, with well-stocked, open kitchen, dining, and entertainment areas that allow you to make the most of your time together, no matter the size of your group. The attention to detail is also reflected in the outdoor areas that offer a variety of options for lounging and of course more active enjoyment of the natural beauty of the surrounding grounds. As for the stargazing, there are no words, you'll have to see it for yourself! Communication with the host was prompt, welcoming, and informative from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend this property and look forward to bringing my family for another visit.

Beyond 5 Stars

One would be hard-pressed to find a better vacation rental anywhere. There’s a humanity to this place in all the thoughtful details that have been put into the layout, décor, amenities, supplies, and utility of the home. And that humanity extends to the friendly, responsive service from the team that runs this vacation rental. The only thing unexpected about our time here were all the extra touches that made The Hacienda a home away from home. The coffee station outfitted with a starter supply of options for the different tastes in our group. The coloring books and crayons in the entryway desk that our youngest attacked with gusto. The books, magazines, family games. The wide array of utensils for cooking, baking, roasting, grilling, juicing, and more. We made cookies, baked scones, whipped cream, grilled steaks, sauteed salmon, etc. And anytime someone wondered, “Does this place have a (name your utensil)?” it often did. We enjoyed lounging in the hot tub, playing in the front yard, visiting with the chickens, and walking around the property. And for the one or two minor issues we had, the owner’s response and resolution were swift. I’m grateful we picked this location for our pre-Christmas getaway. I hope to come again.

That pool!

A Great place to Unplug!

We really enjoyed staying here. The house was very nice with a lot of little touches. The pool and hanging chairs/bed was very relaxing. We had a great time driving the back roads and checking out the trains/tunnels. Lots of great family time plating games, RC cars, etc.

Perfect getaway with out the need for airfare

We live in the Los Angeles-Riverside area and this was just a perfect retreat that provided privacy with all the amenities you need… We loved the salt water pool. it is as refreshing as you see in the picture… It was just a delight to stay here and enjoy family and friends. Whatever concerns or needs we had, the hosts were right there to help us out.

A nice retreat from city life.

Modern house, well furnished, clean, well equipped kitchen to accommodate a family that likes to cook. Fabulous pool with hot tub and plenty of room to hike without leaving the property or encountering others. Great spot to isolate and refresh the soul.

Fantastic Private Getaway

The house was great! Beautifully decorated with unparalleled amenities. A fantastic getaway for my 50th birthday. It was very private with access to restaurants and other fun things to do a short drive away. Any small issues we had were quickly resolved by management. Overall it was a relaxing and memorable experience. A+

Relaxing respite from the city buzz

Unwind and relax in beautiful nature surroundings. Camp Luxury!

Beautiful location and property. Luxurious home with everything we needed, and more! Beautifully decorated. A place to totally relax and pamper yourself with a soak in awesome tub, nap on outdoor bed swing, or take a swim/jacuzzi. Outdoor patio was great for watching sunsets. Outdoor fireplace great for stargazing !!Take a hike or stroll through countryside. Enjoy nearby horses, chickens, cows, beautiful birds and more. Our dogs loved it too!! Only 10 minutes to restraunts, bakery, antiques shops, grocery or drugstore too if needed. Just a fabulous place.

Such a perfect place

I love this home and property! Husband, dog and I stayed for my bday getaway. The home is beautifully decorated, which coming from someone who has stayed in rental homes across the world, actually does make a difference. Beds are comfortable, the house is well stocked with all essentials. And most of all the owner is so kind and responsive. We did trail biking, hiking and pooling. This home is great for a couple or a ground of friends/families. Cant wait to come back soon!

Rejuvenating Stay

Well thought out, well furnished, clean, fun, rejuvenating stay with pool and jacuzzi. The options for where to sit/lay in the pool or swim was one of the best features. So quiet and tranquil. We did almost nothing but enjoy the pool, relax, and enjoy the view. Would definitely stay again.

Property Hosts are local business owners and commercial real estate developers and managers. They reside in Florida, but have a strong presence in the Tehachapi area and visit regularly. Today, they spend the bulk of their professional time coaching & consulting entrepreneurs and business owners, conducting leadership development workshops and trainings, and serving in their communities. Their greatest commitment and passion are their 3 children. They believe in chasing adventure, creating lasting memories and relishing exceptional experiences. Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This historic 1,000 acre active cattle ranch has been in our family for generations. We purchased the ranch and built the hacienda for recreation and restoration. The ranch has been in operation since 1854. The house and surrounding landscape and amenities, were thoughtfully designed and crafted to compliment and reflect the natural surroundings. The intention was to foster a closeness with the outdoors, that inspires guests to slow down, be in the moment, to rest and to restore.

The hacienda is built with California Rancho Style and has a huge front patio that invites guests to relax and enjoy the stunning pool, hot tub and views. The hanging bed, swinging chairs, fire pit, pool & hot tub were all designed to create an experience of relaxation. The property is teaming with wildlife and grand vistas. It's conveniently located off of Highway 58 and is a 15 minute drive to Historic Downtown Tehachapi.
