* Pool heating is available for an additional fee and can be arranged after your booking is confirmed. We kindly ask that heating is ordered in advance of the stay.

Access codes are provided just prior to your arrival and auto-generated for each booking. You can also find your code in our Guest App. Keyless entry, no contact check-in and checkout.



The Neighborhood:

Palmetto Dunes is an oceanfront resort and the ultimate vacation destination. An 11-mile lagoon provides a leisurely day of canoeing or kayaking. Golf, tennis, biking & more! This is a gated community.



Getting Around:

Biking is very popular on Hilton Head Island, known for the many award-winning trails. There are recommendations for bike rental companies within your Guest App. You can reserve in advance and they will deliver to you or bring your own! Almost everything you will need is within walking distance, so bring your walking shoes! There are free trolley stops at various locations throughout the island.



Palmetto Dunes Buggy Service

Free shuttle service. The Palmetto Dunes Buggy service provides complimentary transportation within the Palmetto Dunes Resort and Shelter Cove Harbor. Don't worry about renting a car or spending money on getting to and from all the amenities and things to do at Palmetto Dunes.



The shuttle service will take you to the beach, golf courses, restaurants, shops, and tennis courts at Palmetto Dunes. It will also bring you to Shelter Cove Harbour, Towne Center, and the Plaza. This area is bustling and offers plenty of activities and things to do just off-site.



The Palmetto Dunes Buggy service is available seasonally from April to September. Each van is dispatched on a first-come, first serve basis by request. Typically vans arrive within 10 minutes of a call.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this home. The pool was our 2‑year‑old’s absolute favorite, and the house had plenty of space so everyone could relax without feeling crowded. The view of the lagoon was beautiful, and the walk to the beach was incredibly quick and easy. We loved our time here!

Very relaxing!

Beautiful property! The pool and lagoon view were our favorites! Seeing the deer every day was a real treat as well. The house had everything we wanted/needed. The cleaning products and toiletries along with beach towels was unexpected as other properties do not provide. We are hoping to return thus property next year. Very well kept and very relaxing!

A hidden gem!

101 Mooring Buoy is a hidden gem tucked down a long private drive. The views of the lagoon and dock are magnificent. The owners/hosts thought of everything—from their welcome package and eco friendly starter laundry packs to generous supply of beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, & great array of toys. The home is immaculate and provided plenty of room for a family of five to spread out and also come together for meals and board games. The beach is just a short walk! All around a wonderful stay. Can’t wait to return next year!

Incredible Home and location

The property, location and management company couldn’t have been better! The property has a beautiful pool and hot tub, backs to a beautiful lagoon (with a great dock that we all enjoyed everyday) and is located so close to the quiet beach (5 min or less walk). This property was perfect for our family of 6 plus infant. The owners have done a great job it’s the property and from what I understand they have more improvements in the works. The management company was very responsive to a few minor issues we had. We hope to be able to spend a week next summer at this home !

Great escape!

The location and surrounding are quiet and peaceful. The house inside is beautiful and well-care for. Host2Coast was quick to respond to the couple issues we had with ants and bees. One thing (that didn’t impact our stay) would be that the outside of the house could use some TLC (paint, clean out gutters, etc). Overall…. Great place to relax and enjoy Hilton Head!

Perfect Location, Perfect House

The location of this property is one of the best we’ve gotten in Palmetto Dunes. It is on the wide part of the lagoon and the water views and sitting dock, were one of our favorite, most peaceful spots. The pool and the rest of the outdoor space were great for eating, playing and even doing a little work. The walk to the beach was supper short and the beach was almost empty at both the closest access points. One of the best spots on the Island. Easy bike rides all around and two the general store. The house itself was more than enough room for two families and still had sitting areas and storage to share. Would definitely return to this property.

Great house and location

We really enjoyed our stay. The property management company Host2Coast had equipped the house with a nice welcome package of arrival necessities and extras as well. They were very efficient and friendly. We wish we could have used the Spa (we were willing to pay for that…it was February) but we were unable to get it to work despite the pool company saying it was ready to go. We appreciated use of the beach chairs and pool/ beach towels. Also liked the keypad entry rather than needing to carry a key around. We are coming back in late July with our 3 Grandchildren and are looking forward to another fun week!

Idyllic property and excellent location

We had a great time at this house. The amenities were wonderful, all the TVs were setup and ready to access with ease. We love that the property was set back off the road while still being on the main drag of Mooring Buoy within Palmetto Dunes. We heated the pool and the temperature was perfect and consistent. Check-in and communication with the property manager was seamless. The only critiques we had were that the property lacks coziness. The couches, chairs and particularly the mattresses were all very hard and the master shower didn't generate a lot of heat. But other than these issues, it was a wonderful stay.

Great Hilton Head rental!

We really enjoyed staying at this property! Very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms were a bit smaller, though we really enjoyed the spacious downstairs. Loved the pool and outside areas including the chairs on the dock and hammocks! We saw herons, egrets, flying fish, osprey and quietly floating alligators daily in the lake. Beach was literally right across the street and seemed to be a less busy area and even though we heard crowds were bad this year, we didn’t find the beach crowded here at all. Kids enjoyed biking to the general store in Palmetto Dunes and restaurants, mini golf, Shelter Cove Marina (where we booked a boat trip), and shops were all close and convenient right outside Palmetto Dunes. Literally the only thing we could have asked for were just a few more spices (aside from just salt and pepper) and some dish towels. Otherwise, perfect!

Many of our guests bring their favorite spices from home, or they place an order in advance of their stay with the Low Country Grocery Runner found on our hospitality app. It was a pleasure hosting your stay and we hope you will come back again!

The moment we arrived at the house we were greeted by a beautiful canvas tote filled with local goodies. The house was extremely well stocked with everything we could need. Having the huge beach towels was a plus. The house pool was possibly the most fantastic thing! My kids loved it so much and it was a great reprieve from the heat!The proximity to the beach is a quick two minute walk. Having the lagoon behind us was a plus for fishing, bird watching and reading a book. We couldn’t have picked a better location. My only wish is that it had a kind bed upstairs as well. We will definitely be staying here again and will definitely be booking through Host2Coast. Their service is impeccable!

Time to reflect

Our family had just gone through two close family member deaths. There were no expectations for this trip except time to be together and rest. 101 Mooring did not disappoint. From the moment we walked into the beautiful home until the day we left everyone felt as if the home wrapped it's arms around us and gave us exactly what we needed to escape the outside world. There was a short walk to the beach for those who wanted to enjoy the sand, a beautiful lagoon and dock for those who wanted to enjoy their coffee or wine watching the sunrise or set, a pool and hot tub for all ages to enjoy and lots of space to gather all together or in smaller groups. There had been some type of power outage in the area before we arrived so we had to call the host company to take care of a couple of problems. They came quickly and resolved all our issues. Everyone we spoke to was so kind. We have visited Hilton Head for many years, but all agreed this was our favorite spot and we hope to come back.

The home far exceeded my expectations. I walked to the beach barefoot, it’s a very short walk. I also could walk out the back door and fish the lagoon. The star of the home , for me, was the pool area. What a fine relaxing gem
