Lakefront home Wonder Lake IL - Close to Lake Geneva and Twin Lakes Wi

This must be the place and the time is now to book that special getaway with family and friends. The house is situated right on the lakefront in the most prime location for sunsets and entertainment. There’s a water ski show that takes place right in front of the house most Friday nights. The fireworks display is shot off directly across from the house in the bay Fourth of July weekend. Fully remodeled in 2021 with a focus on entertainment and to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for your stay. Two large bedrooms upstairs with queen size mattresses. There is also a loft upstairs in one of the bedrooms with two twin size mattresses. The downstairs bedroom has a full size bed overlooking the lake. Open kitchen with bar height countertop for entertaining. Large bathroom downstairs with dual vessel sinks and walk in rain shower. Large family room downstairs with a wet bar, beverage cooler, fireplace, and a daybed for naps with a lakeside breeze. The patio outside overlooks the lake and the amazing sunsets go down directly across from the house. There are two dishwashers and laundry on the first floor. There is also a large public beach four houses away with swings, playground equipment, disk golf, and a sand beach for the children to play. Multiple water toys are already there for you like kayaks, canoe, and paddle boat to head out on the water and explore the shoreline. This property is pet friendly. I’m also a dog owner and want your four legged companion(s) to be included in the fun. Please allow me to host your group and help make some lasting memories. This place is where the fun starts and it’s close to everything. Only 1.5 hours from Chicago and less than a half hour to Lake Geneva for day trips. This legacy house has been family owned for three generations and I’m happy to share it with you. Should you have any questions or require special accommodations I’m here to help.

Great stay at Wonder Lake

We had a great stay. Phillip’s place is clean, well stocked, right on the water and easily accommodated 9 of us. He was extremely prompt with responses to questions and any info we needed. Wonder Lake is a neat little town as well as the surrounding country side. Would stay again!

Family Lake Fun

Property was perfect for our short pre-labor day get together. All you would need and then some. Kids had fun fishing and we enjoyed the very clean and well supplied home. Philip was a great host and a pleasure to have as our host.

Wonderful house on the lake

We enjoyed our stay at Phillips house. It was perfect for our annual family reunion. We enjoyed being right on the lake, and the added bonus of the kayaks. Phillip was very communicative. There were a few issues during our stay, but Phillip handled them promptly. We would stay here again

Lake life at its finest with all the toys

We had a group of 8 with us. shared space was very comfortable, outdoor space was great and allowed everyone to have plenty of space. Multiple beds in two of the rooms were great for us. Owner was very helpful and accommodating.

Attention to detail is impressive

Working with Phillip was so easy, before we even arrived I know that Phillip was the kind of man that would go above and beyond for his guest. We were able to communicate with him and he recommended us to local perks of Wonder Lake. I would stay here again!!!!

Great getaway

This property is perfect for a group get away. The space was clean and well stocked. Phillip was very responsive and offered a late check out to enjoy the lake when our previous day was rained out. Easy drive to Lake Geneva. The local ski show took place close to the house. Public beach is very close as well as grocery and pubs. Would return there.

This place is a great hidden gem- both the cabin and the lake!- and Phillip is a great host with an orderly operation. Easy check-in and instructions were clear. The cabin was clean, well stocked, and central AC works great. The side patio was nice for grilling and dining outdoors. The front yard overlooking the lake was nicely landscaped with a hammock and beautiful view of the sunsets. The boat house is equipped with canoe, paddleboat, and kayaks for guest use and was a real highlight of our trip. We enjoyed the private-access beach and marina a few houses down.The weekdays are quiet, while the weekends pick up with activity around the lake. The ski show was great entertainment for the family!

Great time was had by all

We had a great time. Communication with the host was fantastic. I think the only complaint we would have was the backyard is on a slant which made it very difficult to use the fire pit. It was almost impossible to sit comfortably.

Wonder Lake

Wonder Lake is a laid-back, rustic, private lake. The homes are generally modest with only a very few Mc-Mansions. This home is typical of the waterfront properties on the lake with the bonus that it has been TOTALLY re-furbished on the inside. First floor master bath is really nice. Very spacious and ideal for a quiet get away. Even on July 4th, the lake is not crowded - the benefit of it being a private lake. The house location is ideal - one block from the central beach/marina. You can walk to the local food market and the lake's only bar/grill. If you want more shopping - everything you need is about 5 miles away. Great lake views with spectacular sunset. Patio has one gas grill and two weber charcoal grills. Two dishwashers! The owner is super-friendly and helpful. I had several questions and he got back to me instantly.
