Mountain View Suite near Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills
Welcome to Silver Mountain Resort And Cabins. Mountain View Suite is one of seven cabins on our country property.
Mountain View Suite is a perfect Black Hills Getaway with 1 king bed, 1 futon and 1 full bathroom. The kitchen includes apartment-size appliances: microwave, double hotplate, toaster oven. The deck includes a gas grill, table with chairs and a magnificent view. The studio suite is located on the second floor above the office. It is air-conditioned and perfect for a couple or small family.
The Mountain View Suite is a cozy getaway in the middle of the Black Hills. It is close to all of the popular tourist destinations but sits on a quiet road away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist towns. Relax in the heated pool, grill up dinner on your unit's grill, and enjoy your private fire pit in the middle of the trees and peacefulness that make the Black Hills so special.
This was a great/cozy little place for my family to stay while we vacationed in South Dakota. Close to lots of tourism but also off the beaten path a bit which was nice! This property was very clean and the owners were great!
Loved this little cabin stay for our anniversary trip in South Dakota. Each morning drinking my coffee on the deck I got to watch wildlife including mama deer and her babies! So peaceful to wake up to. Had everything we needed and Kari was a great host.
Would recommend!
This cabin was adorably decorated, incredibly clean and exactly as shown. Has a comfortable king bed to get a good night's sleep. This unit is on the second floor, which has a nice balcony with a table and chairs to enjoy a beautiful view of the Black Hills and sunsets! The pool was super clean and refreshing for the hot summer days. There are firepits to use and enjoy an evening snack of S'mores.
The resort was perfectly located to get to all the attractions you will want to see in SD, such as Mt Rushmore, Badlands, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse and the 1880 Train ride from Hill City to Keystone (reservation needed). Enjoyed lunch at the Alpine Restaurant in Hill City after taking the1880 train ride. Even went back one evening later to have their popular bacon wrapped filet dinner, they don't take reservations so get their early if possible. We did wait 1 1/2 hrs to be seated during prime time.
The host, Kari, was so nice and helpful! We would like to come back and stay here with our kids and grandchildren. The resort has enough cabins that could accommodate a large family vacation.
I can say with extreme confidence that this property is well managed, well maintained, conveniently located and somewhere we would stay again!!
Cabin was welcoming and had all of the immensities for the stay.
Great location to get to monuments and sightseeing.
Property managers treated all like family
Quaint little cabin was perfect for a weekend get away. The location is close to all the Black Hills attractions but it feels like you are miles away from the hustle and bustle. This was our second visit to Silver Mountain Cabins and we would definitely stay there again.
