PERFECT LOCATION

The comment we heard most from everyone is “how spacious it is!” The large living room is located directly off of the patio and provides plenty of natural light. The bedroom is roomy with a very comfortable queen sized bed and room for a cot or inflatable. The living room has a queen sized sofa sleeper also. The one bath has a tub/ shower combination and is accessible through the bedroom. It has a large galley kitchen fully outfitted for cooking with a beautiful dining table directly off of the kitchen. A full-sized washer and dryer are outside of the kitchen only a few steps away.

The unit is located on the lower floor with a shady, cool patio directly outside of the front door and has a table and chairs for outdoor dining where you are also able to view the front yard. The unit is in the historic Lower Garden District and adjacent to the Garden District which contains some of the most beautiful New Orleans homes and architectural tours, as well as Commander's Palace restaurant and Lafayette Cemetery. If you enjoy walking to explore new venues, the French Quarter (Vieux Carre) is a little more than one mile away. The well-known and unique Magazine Street with endless "'eating, shopping , and doing" is just around the corner and the Internationally acclaimed WWII Museum, reporting the most tourist visits of any city site, is an easy eight blocks away and is a must see.

If you're wanting to use city transit, the historic streetcar is on St Charles Avenue just 4 blocks away, or you can hop aboard the city bus across the street from the property. Bicycles are available for rent nearby. All points of interest are easy to get to. We are an American Paris.

The largest Mardi Gras Parades all pass on St Charles Avenue, only 4 blocks away, and the apartment provides a close yet quiet retreat from the noise and crowds when needed.

Places minutes away by car, streetcar, bus, walking or bicycling include; Audubon Park and Zoo, The Aquarium of the Americas, The Insectarium, Warehouse/Arts District, WWII Museum, the Convention Center, Mardi Gras World, cruise departures and several museums, and, of course, the French Quarter with Jackson Square and the St Louis Cathedral.

Don't be surprised to see a horse and buggy or bike tour on the street as you enjoy coffee or tea (provided!) in the morning or a second line parade in front as weddings are celebrated in the neighborhood..

Excellent New Orleans Location

Very comfortable, very clean and well appointed apartment. Two excellent, walkable coffee shops nearby. Easy access to the Quarter, Audubon Park, City Park, St Charles and many fine restaurants.

This owners were so accommodating. We are locals who had a tree fall on our house. Easily contacted them and had a great stay until we could get back into the house. Couldn’t recommend it more.

Great location and Great Owners!

This Lower Garden District rental will meet all of your needs as you visit New Orleans! The owners were so easy to communicate with and reached out several times to keep me updated. They also had great suggestions for meals, activities, and even a place to get our tire checked when we arrived with low tire pressure (it was fine btw). The home was spacious and clean, and there was a parking space available as well. We also enjoyed the small sitting area outside. It was a close walk to the St. Charles trolley as well as multiple places to grab a drink or late night bite to eat. The historic neighborhood is a quaint and relaxing alternative to the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter and is a short walk to the lovely Garden District. You will not be disappointed with this rental at all! Enjoy!!

Spacious and convenient to French Quarter!

This is our 5th visit to NOLA, having always stayed in the French Quarter on previous trips. Trying to find reasonable parking for a rental car has always been a problem. This VRBO provides a free parking spot directly outside of the apartment., that was off the street! The apartment itself was roomy, very clean, comfortable and well stocked for our 4 night stay. The apartment is as shown on the website. Owners, Mike and Jeanne were very hospitable and easy to communicate with., via text, and they also live upstairs. We drove less than 2 miles into the FQ when we wanted to visit that area. The location is very convenient, but know that this house is located on a corner of a three way intersection with a stoplight, so cars are often idling, stopping and starting, music coming from open car windows, etc. If you are a light sleeper, this may be a concern for you. The White NoIse machine in the bedroom helped to fill the room with more pleasing sounds. The other thing that the owners really can’t change, is that this house is an old one, and not well insulated. Being on the ground level, we could hear the footsteps every time someone walked in the apartment above. Again, if you are not a light sleeper, none of this will be a concern.

Lovely Garden District apartment 3 blocks from the St Charles St. Trolley. Very large 1 bedroom unit with garden access and parking. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely reserve the apartment if we stay in NOLA again.

Nice getaway

Great location and clean. The hosts were great and engaged as needed. They were available being close by and responded quickly. The home was clean and had plenty of additional items such towels, cleaning supplies and linen as needed. The location was conveniently located to many places to eat in walking distance and traffic in the area was not bad at all. The off street parking was also very convenient. It was a very nice getaway.

NOLA Garden District

The host were fabulous and this is a great property. The rental is very spacious and located in a great area, a short walk to the French Quarter or aquarium and several dinning choices near by. The host went above and beyond to accommodate us by providing great directions, toys for our toddler and perfect dinning suggestions. This wasn't our first trip to NOLA, but by far our new favorite place to stay. We look foward to returning!

Spacious Unit

We stayed at this unit to attend a wedding next door. The communication with the hosts was excellent. We were surprised by how spacious the unit was. The owners provided us with dish soap, dishwasher soap, paper towels, toilet paper, antibacterial, even coffee! They were very friendly and accesible. We’ll love to come back!

Awesome Location

Jeanne and Mike were awesome host taking care of our needs. The process was handled well and very easy to check into the property. The location is great to walk to public transportation with the bus stop across the street from the corner. The property is two blocks from Magazine Street with awesome eating and shopping. I would choose this property to stay in again in a return trip to NOLA. Loved the yard for relaxing in and felt very safe in this location.

Amazing Location for a NOLA family visit

My family (2 adults, 2 children ages 14 and 11) were able to spend 3 days exploring and enjoying our first visit to NOLA. Jeanne and Mike greeted us upon arrival with gracious smiles, property information, and offered any needed assistance. The property is very clean and exactly as described in the listing. The parking space was adequate for our large SUV. The sofa bed was very comfortable for our children and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The location of this property is by far it's best quality! It is in a safe neighborhood and easily walkable to EVERYTHING (St. Charles and street cars, French Quarter, Garden District, and Magazine Street). I highly recommend the property to anyone visiting the NOLA area looking for a home base to explore all aspects of the city!

Great location and price

Spacious 1 bedroom apartment. There were 5 of us (4 adults and 1 child) and there was plenty of space. The location was great. Easy to get to the French Quarter by street car. Magazine street also had many options for drinks and food. Would definitely recommend and would stay here in the future.

My husband and I truly enjoy this business and consider it a labor of love. The house, built in the early 20th century, is charming and typical New Orleans. We live in one of the apartments in this triplex so this is home, and we give it lots of TLC. We were married in the beautiful front yard (the picture above). Those who have stayed here truly appreciated the personal attention available to them. We love this city...and love the area. We walk quite often to the restaurants and sites in the area. Jeanne particularly is proud of the property as can be seen by the beautiful yard and garden that we maintain.

For the price, the unit is surprisingly spacious, and very well appointed. Mike and I encourage communication (texting, calling us, and emails) in order to make sure you have what you need.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

OFF-STREET PARKING (a big bonus in NOLA neighborhoods) and the use of the beautiful yard and patio as additional living area while here. Excellent accommodations for those attending weddings at Il Mercato (ilmercatoevents.com), Felicity Church (felicitychurch.com), and Race and Religious (raceandreligious.com), all within walking distance.
