A lovely area but many issues with the property. The owner does not live on site as stated. We had a 28 hour power cut, obviously not a fault of the owner but there were no torches or candles provided in a house with very steep stairs with a dangerous loose carpet at the top. We had to buy dinner plates and hand towels, there were only 2 small plates and 3 dinner knives. The hand towels were the size of napkins for 2 adults for a week. The lounger cushions are old, thin and badly stained. There were no sun umbrellas or protection from hot sun in the afternoon so we had to stay indoors, just what you want on holiday! The outside steps were very old and uneven stone but there were no outside lights. No wifi available. All in all a very poor and disappointing experience.
Lovely welcoming hosts. They provided us with great suggestions of places to visit and couldn't have been more helpful. Enjoyed relaxing by the pool and the bbq. Eymet is a 5 min drive and beautiful. We managed to catch the food and drink festival in Eymet which was definitely worth a visit.
The most relaxing week I've had in France. The location and hosts were amazing. Very quiet, beautiful scenery. Walking into Eymet took about 45 mins but well worth it. Will definitely go back again.
