Welcome to our two story lake home! Newly remodeled this property is perfect for a family getaway! The house features stunning water & sunset views. It is fully furnished & ready for fun! The 2450 square foot home has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. The open concept living room, kitchen & dining area provides a large wonderful space for time together. The kitchen features a large island for prep & seating for 4-6 & the dining area has a large table with seating for 6+.

Only minutes away from Rough River State Park lodge with a beach, tennis or a nature trail. Rent a pontoon for the day or utilize the boat ramp.

**Per Corp of Engineers there is no dock/slip use available. Check ahead with Nick’s Marina about renting a slip overnight or you’ll need to trailer your boat in and out daily.

**While we do offer free wifi please note that speeds vary depending on time of year, day of week and number of guests visiting the lake. Sometimes it's great while other days it's slower than molasses. You may or may not have wifi service.

The house was perfect! Super clean and beds were comfy!! Neighbors were so sweet and the dock was accessible and close. Really nice property, and owners are super nice!

Beautiful home with everything you would need for a trip! Owners were very responsive! Was a little bummed that the dock wasn't able to be used due to the high water levels right now but other than that HIGHLY recommend & will be booking again!

Wonderful getaway!!

I was very impressed with the house in person - very roomy, comfy mattresses in the larger bedrooms, quiet street, and an overall nice place to stay. Loved the options of using your water toys and just floating near the dock was a favorite! Host was prompt with response! Will likely be back!!! Thank you!

We came for my dad’s 60th. Nicks boat dock was only a short drive away. It was a nice spacious home that fit all of our needs. Will be returning to this rental VERY often.

We would definitely return to this house. It was the perfect accommodations for 3 couples. Good layout and well stocked with kitchen and bath necessities. Easy parking for two trucks and their boat trailers.

Peaceful getaway

The house was perfect. The walk down to the lake was a good workout but worth it! Even with the water low, the kids played on the rocks and shore all day. We felt like we were staying in a tree house. Both the open deck and the screened in deck were wonderful additions. We sat out and played cards with a picturesque sunset. We would definitely stay again!

Reunion Weekend

We loved the house. It was a perfect fit for us as far as number of people. I was told the bunk beds were uncomfortable, but the other beds were quite comfortable. The cell and TV service were terrible. Overall, we had a great time and would consider renting again and would recommend it.

Nice getaway

This is a beautiful home in a very nice neighborhood. We were there in November and it was very peaceful and quiet. I enjoyed taking walks through the neighborhood. The deck had nice views of the lake. The house was perfect for our dogs too. Beds were comfortable and plenty of room if you are a large group. Bathrooms were all updated and very nice. Kitchen was well stocked. We cooked there most days. We enjoyed our time and we’re very comfortable.

When entering, I could smell animals. The walk to the dock was dangerous. But overall it was nice and had plenty of extras if you forgot something from home.

Great view!

This cabin was perfect for our girl’ getaway trip for the 5 of us. We especially liked all the windows and light that we used for craftwork and art. The kitchen was well stocked and great bathrooms with 2 big walk-in showers. The view overlooking the water was beautiful. It’s in a nice and safe neighborhood. The only con was the iffy WiFi which we use for our art but we knew this going into it. There were lots of good CDs and games and we made due. We’re keeping this one on our list for future trips.

Perfect!!!

All I can say is that this place was PERFECT for my friends and family. We had 4 kids aged 5-16 and 5 adults and there was more than enough space for us. The walk down to the dock is a little steep but, well worth it. We spent our days there out on the water and this place was an excellent place to come to after a day of boating. Parking is plentiful even with our boat, there was ample space. This place was ready for us with everything we needed. There are two boat launches very close, and by boat the house is closer than driving. We had a GREAT time and will definitely stay here again when returning to Rough.

Our stay

The house is very nice and very comfortable. Plenty of parking is available. One problem we had was the gas grill would not light even following the handwritten instructions. We did enjoy our time, as always, at Rough River.

The house was great for our vacation with our adult children and grandkid. The house was updated and clean. Had plenty of room and the owners did a great job with stocking up on kitchen items and toiletries for our stay. We would definitely stay again and would recommend to others.

Minimalist but cozy

The property was clean with easy lines and no clutter. Keeping it organized and clean while there was simple. The open concept with multiple windows, deck and screened in deck gave a lot of open space for our family to remain together. Cozy bedrooms made it easy to also get alone time when needed. The view was lovely with woods and lake, closeness to other houses was incidental not intrusive. It did feel more like a view of a river than a lake, but I still loved it. Roads were in good condition and finding property was easy. Supplies were 20 minutes away-close enough to feel convenient while still feeling secluded and away from it all. We had a small plumbing issue that seemed like a non repeat issue and they had someone there immediately to repair it and response from owner was fast and helpful. I am the married mom of five young adults and they always complain about something and they were relaxed and happy here.

Little piece of Heaven

Words can’t be descriptive enough. The home is beautiful, spacious, and right on the lake. Access to the home is easy with plenty of parking. The neighborhood is quiet and everyone we meet was very friendly, whether local or from out of town. Just a short drive to the State Marina and Lodge or to Nicks Boat Dock. Our family was celebrating my mother’s 80th birthday. We celebrated for the week with our family coming and going throughout the week to visit. The property and home was beyond our expectations. Look forward to coming back in the future, either just to get away or to celebrate another birthday.
