What a lovely property! We only got to stay one night, but would have enjoyed a longer stay. The house is super roomy, with lots of comfy places to sleep. We enjoyed the game room immensely as we were winding down from a long day on the road. Easy access to food and shopping.

Perfect overnight stay

Large farmhouse with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Kids loved the fresh baked cookies and the game room. Very peaceful and quiet location. The host are very kind and they took time out of their busy day to make sure we felt welcome.

Comfortable & Pleasant

Our stay was wonderful!! Perfect host, comfy beds and space to relax after a college visit and a day of shopping!!!! The house was super clean and exactly as described! Host was kind enough to leave treats for us and offered anything we needed when an unexpected snow storm hit!!!! Will definitely stay again!!

A Warm Hug Kinda Home

My family and I spent the night here to celebrate New Year. It has a family vibe in the upstairs, filled with antiques and collections related to life in the area. The downstairs is open and modern, a great play place for the kids. The host has filled the home with lots of goodies to make your stay comfortable.

We had a group of 8 and had plenty of room. Everything was clean and everything needed was provided there. The basement was the perfect hangout. We had a great time!

City folk in the country

We’re a group of city friends who came to Lexington for a taste of the country, and this stay was amazing! The home was spotless, and the host made us feel incredibly welcome with two dozen fresh-baked cookies and a dozen farm-fresh eggs. They were attentive to our needs, and the check-out process was super easy. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing country experience with great hospitality!

Perfect place for a weekend trip!

Large, beautiful farmhouse with plenty of room for everyone. Hosts are the absolute best; so friendly and welcoming. They even brought us fresh baked treats! The house is immaculately clean with comfortable beds and everything you need. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a short getaway close to town. Thanks again for sharing your farm with us!

Southern Hospitality

We had a great stay at Franklin Ridge Farm. Amanda and Bill could write a book on “Southern Hospitality” . We enjoyed learning so much about farm life. House was great, beds very comfortable. Just to summarize I would highly recommend that if you are staying the Lexington area, consider supporting our American Farmers and stay with Amanda and Bill. You will not be disappointed, we loved it and wish we could have stayed longer.

Would give 5,000 stars if we could.

This was a wonderful stay. We so enjoyed our time and wished we had more. My MIL was especially impressed with the fresh farm eggs provided and noted that the house was very thoughtfully stocked. Amanda was very hospitable and engaging and did a great job hosting. There were delicious treats, homemade cookies, snacks, etc that were not expected but just raised the experience. The house itself was very spacious and was very nice, while staying true to the style of a farm house. The animals were a real treat and we enjoyed just being around them. We will be back. We love this area anyway, the space is always majestic and beautiful.

The house was wonderful, clean and comfortable. Amanda & Bill are excellent hosts! Even the livestock on the farm are great. We had a wonderful time visiting Claiborne Farm, Keeneland, Churchill Downs Derby Museum, Red River Gorge, a distillery, some very nice restaurants & shops in and around Winchester & Lexington.

We thoroughly enjoyed this house. The history of it was very interesting. The house were wonderful, very accommodating and extremely friendly. It had plenty of room for our group of nine with the basement which turned out to be where the boys all slept. I would highly recommend this house to someone that is going to be into the area

Our stay was very nice! Amanda is a good host. The house sits a little closer to the road and farm than we anticipated. But overall we had a nice stay and the house worked out very good for the 8 of us.

Wedding

We had 11 family members some who stayed for one night and others several. Bill and Amanda were great and accommodated all our needs, even the change in linens each time. We felt right at home and even made ourselves breakfast with some farm fresh eggs, a gift from our hosts. Having a husband that grew up in the country, the farm brought back happy memories.

Perfect

My friends and I were returning to our hometown after a long absence for our high school reunion. We wanted to have a comfortable place where could gather and talk. This was perfect for our needs and it was extremely clean. The house is a mini museum of local history and the family. Detailed instructions and labels throughout the house made our stay easy and comfortable.

KY Dove hunting trip
