A beautiful spot and very friendly folks!

We had a group of 8 staying at Franklin Ridge. There was plenty of room, the house was immaculate and very homey and Amanda went out of her way to make sure things were just right.

A great country getaway

The property was in a beautiful area and the hosts were so kind and attentive to anything we needed. I highly recommend coming here if you have a large group or family, you will receive great hospitality and enjoy a lovely home.

A Warm Hug Kinda Home

My family and I spent the night here to celebrate New Year. It has a family vibe in the upstairs, filled with antiques and collections related to life in the area. The downstairs is open and modern, a great play place for the kids. The host has filled the home with lots of goodies to make your stay comfortable.

Perfect overnight stay

Large farmhouse with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Kids loved the fresh baked cookies and the game room. Very peaceful and quiet location. The host are very kind and they took time out of their busy day to make sure we felt welcome.

Comfortable & Pleasant

Our stay was wonderful!! Perfect host, comfy beds and space to relax after a college visit and a day of shopping!!!! The house was super clean and exactly as described! Host was kind enough to leave treats for us and offered anything we needed when an unexpected snow storm hit!!!! Will definitely stay again!!

City folk in the country

We’re a group of city friends who came to Lexington for a taste of the country, and this stay was amazing! The home was spotless, and the host made us feel incredibly welcome with two dozen fresh-baked cookies and a dozen farm-fresh eggs. They were attentive to our needs, and the check-out process was super easy. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing country experience with great hospitality!

My friends and I were returning to our hometown after a long absence for our high school reunion. We wanted to have a comfortable place where could gather and talk. This was perfect for our needs and it was extremely clean. The house is a mini museum of local history and the family. Detailed instructions and labels throughout the house made our stay easy and comfortable.

Perfect place for a weekend trip!

Large, beautiful farmhouse with plenty of room for everyone. Hosts are the absolute best; so friendly and welcoming. They even brought us fresh baked treats! The house is immaculately clean with comfortable beds and everything you need. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a short getaway close to town. Thanks again for sharing your farm with us!

Amanda was amazing! We left early and could not complete the farm tour but she allowed our kids to pet a rabbit and they loved it. She house is clean and the towels are super white.

Best of both worlds

Franklin farm was a breath of fresh air from places we have stayed before. Historic with modern amenities to accommodate a large group (we had 10). Everything was nice and clean, regular towel and supply checks and easy contact with owner. We went on a tour of their farm and Amanda spent extra time taking members of the group out on their land to see their herd and property.

Trekking to camp

My friend and I were taking our recent graduates to camp in North Carolina. We stopped off here to stay one night, and were very happy with our stay. The home is super clean, the host left us fresh farm eggs and homemade chocolate chip cookies. That was such a pleasant surprise. The host Amanda is also very responsive and made our stay very pleasant

Southern Hospitality

We had a great stay at Franklin Ridge Farm. Amanda and Bill could write a book on “Southern Hospitality” . We enjoyed learning so much about farm life. House was great, beds very comfortable. Just to summarize I would highly recommend that if you are staying the Lexington area, consider supporting our American Farmers and stay with Amanda and Bill. You will not be disappointed, we loved it and wish we could have stayed longer.

Daughter's Graduation Stay

Our stay at Franklin Farms was the greatest. Having farm fresh eggs to the wonderful cookies was a hit. My sister and her family had a wonderful time, visiting historic Winchester, getting a tour of their farm to hosting a graduation party for my daughter (a UK graduate). All bedrooms are cozy with comfy beds and a great game room. We couldn't ask for a better place to stay!!! I'd recommend staying here if anyone visits Winchester or Lexington area. They are the greatest hosts!!

Anniversary Celebration

My parents have been married for 50 years and we wanted to do something special for them. My brothers and I found this property and felt it would be perfect for us. They did not disappoint. We felt like we were family. They treated us like we were their own. Even brought us home made cookies which were a big hit with everyone!!! From the tour of the farm to the fresh farm eggs, we couldn’t have asked for a better host. This will definitely be a farm that we visit again in the future. Thank you soo much!!!

Would give 5,000 stars if we could.

This was a wonderful stay. We so enjoyed our time and wished we had more. My MIL was especially impressed with the fresh farm eggs provided and noted that the house was very thoughtfully stocked. Amanda was very hospitable and engaging and did a great job hosting. There were delicious treats, homemade cookies, snacks, etc that were not expected but just raised the experience. The house itself was very spacious and was very nice, while staying true to the style of a farm house. The animals were a real treat and we enjoyed just being around them. We will be back. We love this area anyway, the space is always majestic and beautiful.

Holiday family gathering

This house and the hosts are cut from a different cloth than most. Absolutely everything was thought out and perfectly done. So cozy, warm, clean and welcoming! Big well appointed kitchen was a dream to prepare meals in for our group. So many areas to spreadout in and enjoy time together. The whole place was lovingly, still decorated for Christmas with lights and even a tree! There was always a quick response to the few questions we had from Amanda. The icing on the cake was the personal farm tour for our littles and them getting to see the new baby calf.."Rory"! Thank you again! We will be back! We highly recommend this home for any group or gathering! You will not be disappointed.

Wedding

We had 11 family members some who stayed for one night and others several. Bill and Amanda were great and accommodated all our needs, even the change in linens each time. We felt right at home and even made ourselves breakfast with some farm fresh eggs, a gift from our hosts. Having a husband that grew up in the country, the farm brought back happy memories.
