This renovated executive loft overlooks historic Downtown Cartersville, only minutes from I-75 and Lakepoint Sports Center. The downtown district's wonderful restaurants, entertainment, and shopping are within steps of the private entrance. Whether traveling for business or leisure, in search of a corporate workspace with character and convenience, or a beautiful place to unwind...The Loft at 101 has you covered!
Title misleads you into thinking this space has two beds. It does not. The pullout coach in the sofa was the most uncomfortable sleeping experience Iâve ever had. Also, itâs really tiny. Iâm 5â11 and essentially had to sleep diagonal to fit. Water pressure in the shower is the equivalent of a 3 people standing above you and shooting you with a squirt gun. The layout really stinks too. If youâre unlucky enough to have to sleep on the sofa couch, you have to walk through the bedroom where someone is sleeping to get to the only bathroom. Lastly, the wooden floor in the bedroom has a massive chunk out of it posing a severe risk when walking barefoot.
Property is conveniently located in the heart of Cartersville and within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. The loft was very clean and welcoming, and the kitchen had almost all of the conveniences of home. The reasons for the 4 stars overall is as follows: 1) The bed was on the firm side (and we prefer a softer feel). 2) The bathroom towels we rough/scratchy and they were not left out for us but rather under the bathroom sink. Not too big of a deal, just seemed a little odd to us. 3) Only one kitchen towel (no dish cloths/wipes/etc to wipe down the counters) & one oven mitt (somewhat difficult to remove larger items from oven with only 1 oven mitt).
My son and I stayed at this beautiful loft apartment in Cartersville for a baseball tournament at Lakepoint, which was only about a 10 minute drive. The apartment is just as pictured and gorgeous! The host was very responsive to all requests. I did have some confusion about how many beds there were so for the rest of you here is the breakdown: there is a large bedroom with what appeared to be a king sized bed and a very confortable pull out bed/couch in the main living room. I am glad I took sheets for the pull out bed as I did not see any extras in the storage room where the washer/dryer and cleaning supplies are located. In any event, both beds were very comfortable. I also loved the fact that we could park right across the street from the building, which made loading and unloading very convenient. There are lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance of the apartment. I highly recommend this beautiful loft apartment to anyone that is looking for a space to stay in the area.
Parking on the street was never a problem even with a festival going on. Easy walking to restaurants, shopping, coffee shops and museums. The loft was clean. Basic amenities were provided. There is some noise from the street but white noise on the phone took care of that. Some light filtered in from the bedroom windows at night but didnât really bother our sleep. It was a pleasant stay and we would recommend.
No one could ask for a more amazing host! Super communication and helpful! This place is gem! Walkable to anything you could want to do and see. Very clean and tastefully decorated! I will definitely be back!!
I LOVED this apartment, the renovation preserved the historic nature of the property, but with modern upgrades. The location is outstanding. Literally park your car and walk to fabulous restaurants and shopping. The only negative is the noise, the streets despite being a historical downtown have a considerable amount of traffic and the train tracks are a block and away and the train runs frequently. If you are a heavy sleeper it wouldn't bother you. Historical Cartersville proved to be a super fun little town, although not much open on Sundays, so if for a weekend getaway Thursday - Sunday, with checkout Sunday would be best.
