The Beach House was great! Beautiful views of Wellfleet Bay from the deck, enjoyable hiking on nearby islands, cycling on the Cape Cod Rail Trail, good restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The oyster farmers are out every low tide tending to their farms. We met one and he gave us a fresh sample! It was meatiest and sweetest tasting oyster I've ever had! We spent a lot of time relaxing down on the beach. The house was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. I hope we make it back again.

The house is truly a dream house. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with our two children, their spouses, and our three grandchildren with an August week in Wellfleet and we could not have had a better place to celebrate. The house was a perfect fit for our family and the accessible bay beach only enhanced our stay. Everyone loved the low tide visits of the oystermen. The house is comfortable, well-equipped, and could not have a better location. April was extremely helpful in the rental process and answered all my questions in a timely manner. Anyone would be lucky to spend time in this house. All the grandchildren want a return visit.

This house is perfect! We loved the house and its location in Wellfleet right on the bay. It felt quiet and secluded and yet was close to town, beaches, and ponds. The house was even nicer than the pictures—the common spaces and deck are spacious, well laid-out and great for our group of 8-9. The kitchen was really well equipped and the roomy tables indoors and out made eating at the house a pleasure. We hated to leave! April was a great and communicative host.

We loved staying here, right on the bay. April the host was super easy to communicate with and she responded to a couple of initial issues we had quickly. Plenty of parking, comfortable beds, water pressure excellent, lots of space to spread out in the house and the outdoor shower is terrific with a view of the water! The two dishwashers came in really handy with eight people. Only two minor complaints. We were there during a very hot week and with no air-conditioning in the house it was a bit much, although it cooled down a fair bit at night. And it would be nice to have shades or blinds in the bedrooms, as a couple of people in our group don’t like using eye masks. All in all, we had a great and were quite sad when we had to leave!

This spacious comfy secluded Cape Cod home on the beach was perfect for our college reunion. House perfect! Host perfect! Plenty of parking, with a pleasant wood walkway to the house. Our eight guests slept in the five bedrooms, while four classmates stayed with a nearby friend. Each morning we enjoyed coffee on the deck, with trees all around, overlooking the bay with always changing big tidal swings. Fun to see oyster farmers each morning. We walked the beach into Wellfleet, to enjoy Mac’s window service seafood lunches with picnic tables along the water, or just to stroll the Wellfleet art galleries and gladly support local artists. Wellfleet is a quaint artist town. Each night our full group of 12 gathered at this house to prepare dinner. The long farm table fit 12, a rare find. We even ordered fresh lobster already cooked and shelled from local Mac’s Seafood, a short walk down the beach. The house is wonderful with a spacious open layout of dining area, living room, and kitchen for easy group gathering and cooking. The living room has plenty of seating, also a rare find. Kitchen has two dishwashers and two sinks, Nespresso and drip coffee pots. Towel and linen rentals (soft and high quality) are handled locally through The Furies, a new one for me, common in the Cape. Host April is delightful, helpful, friendly, accommodating. This family home, and April, will make you feel at home so you can enjoy every minute of your vacation.

Exceptional Beachfront Location

The property was perfect for our extended family vacation. The water views and direct beach access was perfect. We loved the easy beach walk to pier amenities. Unfortunately, the property was not available at the stated 3pm check-in time when we arrived. In fact the cleaners didn’t show up until 3 pm thus we waited in our car for an hour while the crew did a 60-minute cleaning of this 5-bedroom, 3- bath house, which was not enough time for a proper cleaning. House was lovely with all the needed appointments. Some of the bedrooms had broken window blinds which made it hard to block the summer solstice morning light.

Hi Lisa. Thanks for staying at our beach home. I am glad you loved the location with direct access to the beach. We apologize for the cleaning mishap. Our long time cleaner never showed up so we had to scramble to find a replacement cleaning crew. We have never had this happen before and we are sorry it happened during your visit. I didn't realize it wasn't as clean as it should have been - we will always send our cleaners back if they don't clean 100% right the first time! Best Place for Family

This place is an amazing find in Wellfleet. We've been coming to Wellfleet for years (pre-kids) with friends, and now we come with our kids (under 6 years old). This felt like more of a vacation than it has in years. The owner was very quick to respond to my emails and super friendly! We hope to keep coming back here.

Great House, Great Beach, Great Town

We had a fantastic time at David's beach house. We were 2 families of 4, plus 2 grandparents and the house was absolutely perfect for us. The great room is the center of the house and has plenty of room to relax, cook and dine. We had 13 people at dinner almost every night and we were very comfortable. The kitchen is amazing and has a perfect lay out, including large Sub Zero Fridge and 2 dishwashers. The master bedroom occupies the majority of one side of the house. It is a large room, with a private bathroom and a door to the backyard. The other side of the house is on two levels, with each level having 2 nice size bedrooms and a full bathroom. The media room at the front of the house is very comfortable, has a nice TV and saw quite a bit of use. The outside deck is large and had enough room for our entire group. The outdoor shower is a bonus! The house is located on a bluff, which allows for spectacular views. There are stairs down to the private beach, which we absolutely loved. The water is warm and has almost no waves. The younger kids spent their day beach combing, swimming and talking to the oyster farmers. The pier is walking distance and has great restaurants, no matter what you are in the mood for: Mac's has great food where you can eat on picnic tables and bring your own alcohol, while at the other end of the scale you have Ceraldi which would be a higher end restaurant in any major city, but still maintains a relaxed vibe. We also enjoyed a day of fishing and checking lobster traps with Billingsgate Charters, I would recommend this for anyone, young and old! For those that prefer bigger, busier beaches, there are plenty of options in Wellfleet. From the freshwater ponds, to the beautiful sand dunes and waves on the Atlantic side, there really is something for everyone. The owner David is quick to respond and a pleasure deal with, he helped make our vacation special. I highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a real Cape Cod vacation!

Perfect Family Vacation

My extended family was fortunate to rent this home for a week in July 2014. It was perfect! We considered it a dream vacation and wished we had stayed for two weeks (or owned a home as fantastic as this!). First of all, the location is great. We loved being able to just walk down the steps to the beach. The calm, warmer waters of the harbor were perfect for our kids to swim in, and we all enjoyed morning walks and kayaking. My kids were fascinated by the men gathering clams and oysters in the waters near the house and learned quite a bit from them! We also liked being down the street from Mac's at the town pier, where we enjoyed the seafood and ice cream, and the Pearl, which was great for cocktails and family dinners. Second of all, the house was spacious, clean, bright and very well stocked. Our group of 8 loved gathering around the table in the kitchen and living room (with plenty of room to spare!). The kitchen had all of the equipment we needed, and we also enjoyed grilling outside. We liked the layout of the house and felt we all had ample room to spread out. The owner, David Agger, was extremely responsive and easy to work with. The house exceeded our expectations and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property. We feel the house and location are tough to beat for a family vacation, and we hope to return sometime in the future!

10/10 Excellent

Fantastic Wellfleet weekend!

We booked the house for a wedding up the street. The weekend could not have been more perfect. The Cape, and Wellfleet especially, was a great quiet retreat from big city NY & LA we were all visiting from. The house itself was exactly what we were looking for, spacious, clean, and inviting. It's views & stairway access down to the beach were simply amazing. The owner David is great, and a pleasure coordinating with. As a group we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay this weekend & would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the area!
