Located in the heart of the Historic District, the Old Vine Bed & Breakfast is nestled within walking distance to wineries, restaurants, distilleries, boutiques, and the Amtrak station. There are three rooms on the second level with a guest entrance in the back to choose from and each has a private bath. Every morning enjoy a "farm to table" breakfast as part of your stay. We try and use locally-sourced ingredients as much as we can. You can choose to dine in your room, the dining room, or outside on the deck or in the pavilion. Spend time with your partner, make new friends, or enjoy time with old friends and family in the back covered pavilion.
The property owners were absolutely great! The property itself is very conveniently located to historic downtown and walking distance to a couple of wineries. I definitely recommend this B&B.
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay, the old historic house was beautiful with an amazing patio area where we were able to cozy up to a nice fire once the sun went down. The house is within walking distance of all the popular places in Hermann. Our host Chad was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed! The only feedback I would give them is to look into getting a new bed in the room we stayed in (my wife and I agreed it was not very comfortable) and the ceiling fan would only work if the light was on (no chain to turn the light off) so we did get quit warm during the night. These are just minor things and it did not take away from the amazing experience we had! I will definitely be back!
First, the good news The B&B is well situated on a quiet street yet within easy walking distance to downtown Herrmann. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were very good and Chad and Mike were sensitive to my wife's needs. The B&B has a vintage feel. Chad and Mike are friendly hosts but were not present when we checked in, a first for us. The room had a vintage feel but is cramped with no real sitting space. (there were 2 small chairs.) There was no common indoor space to meet, read, etc. The pavilion in the back is good for a group but obviously had not been used in some time. The back stairs, (the guests entrance) was fine for us but could prove a challenge for some seniors or with disabilities.
We enjoyed our stay @ the BNB. The location was fabulous in relation to downtown. We had bicycles that needed to be stored when we were not using them, and the host was very accommodating.
I loved our stay here! The home is beautiful and clean. The host are friendly and very knowledgeable about the town. Breakfast was delicious! I can't wait to go back and use the outdoors area.
