The Emma McCall House at 174 Unit #1 St. Philip St. offers a 2-bed, 2-bath apartment that blends modern comfort with Charlestonâs rich history just one block from King Street. Recognized with five Carolopolis Awards and the SC Governorâs Award for Historic Restoration, this retreat is perfect for families or groups seeking an authentic Charleston experience.

Bathroom 1 - Ensuite with tile and marble shower, separate handheld shower and vanity.

The old hardwood floors, tall ceilings, original moldings, plasterwork, windows and doors exude a special warmth, character, and charm that is very difficult to achieve in new construction. We spent 20 years on our sailboat in Europe, staying in VRBO places whenever we could. While we love Europe, we feel Charleston gives you the best European experience in America but also offers the best of modern American life. We bought the properties at SaintPhilipSquare in 1996 and began converting them to short term rental in 2010 because we believe these historic properties give visitors the best opportunity to live like a Charlestonian. We love the VRBO concept and always stay in VRBO properties when we travel.
