Our family and friends enjoyed our stay immensely. The proximity to skiing, shops, and restaurants was better than anticipated. I look forward to a return trip.
The location is awesome for snow lovers! Super easy and quick access to big and little cottonwood canyons. It is also pretty close to downtown, where we can get our groceries quickly. Super close to REI as well. Drew is a great host who always responses in a timely manner. One minor drawback is one the rooms in the basement doesn't have windows and heat vents. Overall we loved our stay.
I live in Salt Lake and had family coming to town for a wedding reception in early July. I rented this house for them to stay at. It is a very nice house, clean, and in a very convenient location (easy freeway access) with great views. Noelle was very responsive when we had a small issue with some of the lights not working when we arrived.
The house is in a great location for skiing and ease to the airport. If you are just using it to crash for skiing it works well. As a house to actually stay and enjoy, it is not that. It is old and run down. The walls have chips and cracks. The walls and doors are dirty and even had finger prints on the doors. The picture of the main room is not as advertised. There are covers on the furniture. There only TV room is in the basement. The beds are old and not comfortable. This house definitely needs so attention.
The house is in a convenient location to ski slopes but on a fairly busy street. Backyard is sizable. Showers were great. The basement has the best sofa and hang out space with a couple bedrooms if you donât mind living underground. Unfortunately one of the downstairs bedrooms had exposed carpet tack strip in the doorway that was an unpleasant find on bare feet. Baseboards have also been removed and the wall not cleaned up. Upstairs living room area does not look like the photo. The sofas (probably the same) are small and have been covered with dark gray covers. House needs some TLC.
I hate writing negative reviews, however, this property has some significant issues that others need to know about. For starters, the downstairs bathroom and larger bedroom have a ceiling height of 5 ft 10 in. The whole house was run down. There really isn't a single 5 star quality of the home other than the price. Blood stains on sheets, dirty dishes, old carpet/furniture, etc. I'd definitely look at other options. FYI, the pictures are really good. Unfortunately, these are not accurate.
I was surprised there is a broken electrical switch at the top of the stairs, and the master bathroom toilet runs until you remove the tank cover to reset the seal ( about half the time ), and the bunk bedroom ceiling light flashes for a while after you shut it off. You must be careful to straighten the legs on the 2 living room chairs, before sitting down, for fear they will fail. Overall, we were satisfied with every thing else, and would stay with you again. Thank you
Spring skiing with my family and my brother's family. This was a great house for us all. Space for sleeping was perfect for the families. Kids had their own space to play and watch shows downstairs. Sun on the porch after skiing was lovely. Plenty of dishes and pans for cooking. Location was perfect for accessing so many ski places around SLC. Thanks!
Convenient location but on a busy street, great parking options, functional spaces upstairs, older home shows in the basement, bathroom, and small rooms but clean for the most part. Good for the price with a group. Lots of beds. Clicking in the ventilation or pipes in basement kept us up a bit in one room.
We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was an older home with the normal squeaks and other characteristics that go along with the age. It had comfortable beds that slept all 11 of us and quite a bit of seating for the size of home. It also had many kitchen amenities that allowed us to eat many meals there. The property manager quickly answered any questions. Would be happy to stay again if in the area.
Huge home w/ easy access to Little & Big Cottonwood Canyons
This was a true 100% value for our February ski trip...4 nights & 3 ski days for a few guys. The owner was very responsive to a couple small issues we had; they were resolved within 12 hours. My only regret about using this property is we didn't bring enough people; the house is very large!
We had 6 adult men and the house worked our very well for us. It's comfortable, well-furnished and there are 5 bedrooms and 3 baths. Snowbird and Alta are only a half hour away and so are Solitude and Brighton. The grocery store is only 5 minutes away and good restaurants are close by. All-in-all, this is a great location to sample the various resorts near Salt Lake City.
I booked this home for a girls trip a few days before the trip. Check in was to be at 4:00pm (3:00pm our time). After traveling we were on our way to the home when I noticed I had a missed call. The message was from the owner stating that there were fraudulent charges on the card and that our booking was cancelled (this was hours after we could have already been at the home). After calling the bank and finding out that they had no record of fraud, I called the owner and only got an answering machine. We decided to drive by the home, at this point we realized that the address (only street name) was never given to us in any of the communication and there were two different houses pictured in the photos. Luckily my sister is from the area and we found the home(s), both of them having cars in the driveway. We then had to find a hotel for 7 people at 10pm on a holiday weekend, not an easy task. The next morning I got a text from the owner saying that they live on the east coast so she didn't get my message and "hope we found a place to stay?" You may be living on the east coast but you are still running a business. And why did you find out about the charges hours after we could have already been staying there?
