Beautiful cottage on Trout lake in North Bay.

With two bedrooms on the main floor, and a full bathroom. There is also a large dining area that opens directly into the kitchen and the living room. With views of the lake, the property has an adjacent living space off the dining area for games and entertainment. The kitchen is equipped with all modern accessories as necessary. With great internet connection, there is provision to access YouTube and all other games and app via a 50inch tv. Both in the living room on the main level and the den in the basement level.

There is an additional room and shower room all newly installed and furnished in the basement. Access is directly available from the basement to the lake and deck.

Great North Bay weekend

3 friends and I stayed here for a a weekend and it’s couldn’t have be more lovely, the rooms were comfortable, there was plenty of space, and the dock was beautiful. Highly recommend!

Great stay!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Got to enjoy a beautiful day on the dock, and a nice outdoor area right on the water. Kitchen is well supplied. Would recommend bringing a few towels and floaties if you plan to swim.

Lovely Spot

Property owner really saved our holiday. After being left in a lurch with our other vrbo rental we were accommodated next day and the remainder of our stay. Communication with the owner was quick and clear and she was kind enough to meet us on site at check in. It is a lovely property with a great fire pit and dock to relax on.

Return visit nice improvements

This is our second stay here, last was 2 years ago. We were pleased to see upgrades to the laundry room, backyard and deck areas. We love this place and already booked for next year. The main drawback are the stairs which older guests or visitors will find challenging. Plenty of dining room for all guests and 2 living spaces is perfect for families and dinner companions. We love this place.

Loved it!

We loved the property Beautiful inside and outside. Didn’t spend much time outside due to the weather but managed to go to the shore. What a view! Peaceful and quiet. It was very relaxing stay. The host was great and quickly responded to our queries. Definitely a place to visit again. Thank you!

The pictures online don’t do this place justice. It’s very spacious. We had a great time. Loved the fact that we could use the laundry machine. The tv in main room didn’t work for us. Shower curtain rod kept falling, coffee pot is glitchy. Other than that we loved it

This place has location as its big draw. However the house/cottage is very old. The furniture is old, bedding dated, pillows thin, cupboards unorganized and lacking in cups and glasses. Lots of stairs to manoeuvre from car to cottage and then more to dock. Deck has two very tiny chairs and a small table and a barbecue that has rusted barbecue shields, brush that has no bristles for cleaning and no propane when we arrived. Needed to ask where it was. No instructions for televisions. Floors not looking cleaned. Overall pictures on VRBO could be more descriptive and informative There is a lovely wood burning sauna down by the lake full of beach equipment just thrown in a pile, and light bulb burned but a candle available to help out. lol All in all a disappointing experience in a beautiful part of Northern Ontario on an amazing lake.

Weekend getaway

The location is great. The property was not clean, appliances were dirty, a wet cloth was slathered in the toilet seat but a hair was left in it. Found hair in one bed, refrigerator was dirty, had to be wiped down before putting our things in. Wet slimy bar soap left on shower shelf, floors had not been washed, BBQ was not cleaned and we didn’t use it. Bring your own facecloths and tea towels and also beach towels if needed. Not a great place to stay

Lots of potential but falls short

This rental is a 3-hour professional cleaning job away from being decent. **Positives**: The location was perfect, and the area was lovely. The first-floor beds were clean and changed, the floors were clean, and the fridge was spotless. **Negatives**: 1. Cleanliness: - *3rd Bedroom*: The downstairs bed was unchanged, with hair, dirt, and chips between the sheets. The bed felt like a box spring, and the sheets were flimsy and worn. - *2nd Bathroom*: It wasn’t properly cleaned. Soap scum made the shower door squeaky, and the drawers had hair and dirt. - *Kitchen*: Surface cleaning was minimal. Some drawers were messy or dirty, and the stove was filthy inside. 2. Customer Service:The host ignored messages about the unusable third bedroom. We had to book an extra 400 hotel room, which added costs and travel time. The host never acknowledged or apologized for the inconvenience. 3. False Advertisement: The rental was listed as three bedrooms, but the third was unsanitary and unusable, making it effectively a two-bedroom rental. 4. Maintenance: A towel rack was in a cupboard instead of mounted. Items like a warped cutting board and broken kettle reflected poor upkeep. **Final Comments**: We chose this rental based on glowing reviews, not realizing the last reviews were six months old. It seems the property has changed hands. I expect cleanliness and accurate listings, not perfection. Our most disappointing rental to date.

House on the Lake

The house has all the amenties of home. It had adequate amount of space for my family. We enjoyed swimming off the dock and fires in the evening.

Winter get away

We stayed 2 nights at this property and were very happy with everything. The listing stated 4 bedrooms but its 3 bedrooms. We were able to make it work comfortably. Main floor - 1 bedroom had a double bed, 2nd bedroom had a double bed and a large single bed. Large bathroom located near these rooms. The basement had a large single bed with a bathroom off the bedroom. Our Host was very helpful and replied quickly to my emails. We would definitely stay here again.

House was equipped with many household items.

The house was roomy with lots of light. I guess my only concern was the steps. To many to get to house especially when you have to carry groceries and luggage. We are seniors with health problems. Overall I wouldn't rent this house again because of the stairs. The house was great.

Great spot

Very clean and uncluttered. Nice quiet spot. Only draw back was quite a few stairs outside. It may be an issue for older or mobility challenged.
