Nice setting with scattered trees, lots of wildlife to watch while you enjoy coffee. 1 bedroom with a full-size bed, 1 bath and large living room with a queen size hide-a-bed. There is even room for an air mattress too! There is a fire pit and grill to enjoy during your stay. Also there are no steps, great for elderly people or people who cannot climb stairs! There is also an outside dog pen available to use. (dogs not allowed in the house without permission)Only 1 mile to Ruark Bluff where there is a boat dock on one side of the road, and the beach on the other side of the road with childrenâs play area and picnic area.
A few friends decided to do a little archery deer camp around Stockton lake and this was the perfect spot! Centrally located and had everything we needed. Debra was a great host. Thanks! Will stay again.
A few men from our church have joined to take this trip the past two years and stayed at Debraâs property. Itâs been just what we needed and she is a wonderful host. Thank you so much! Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice base camp for exploring all the lake area has to offer.
Location was as excellent. A quiet country setting and we could drive to boat ramp in less than 5 minutes. House was more than adequate with all our basic essentials. Host was great and a pleasure to deal with. Truly couldn't hope for a better experience.
This is my 2nd stay at this cabin. It's an excellent place for a small family or just an individual. It's clean, comfortable and off the beaten path. It is also reasonably priced and I hope it will stay that way. I will most certainly stay there again, probably in the spring if it's available. Thanks again to the owner.
I found this property a few weeks prior to my trip and was surprised how close it was to the lake. The cabin was perfectly setup for visitors with all supplies readily available. I was very impressed how clean and organized the cabin was upon my arrival. Debra was very responsive in any of my questions. I'll definitely be back in the near future.
We got down late at night and couldnt find the location. GPS sends you to an intersection. Very quickly after messenging the owner, she responded. The beds were comfy. There were a couple spiders but nothing uncomon for the area. The AC kept the living room cool, the bedroom wasnt bad if you keep the door open. I would definitely stay again as it was well worth the price.
I liked how quiet it was and the woods surrounding the edge of the property was full of life. The house itself was interesting. Plenty of space and very convenient location if you want to spend most of your time on the lake.
I genuinely love staying at this cabin. It's perfect for singles or a small family. This was at least my third stay and I particularly enjoyed the new shower head in the bathroom. Very functional. It did rain quite a bit while I was there. We had 3 inches one night. There was a minor problem with some leakage around the base of the cabin's north side. I think the rain gutters were overwhelmed and the water poured over the side of the gutters and saturated the base of the north wall. Some water seeped in and saturated some of the carpet. I set up the available floor and ceiling fans to dry it out and went about my business. This was the only glitch of my stay and NOT something I could not deal with. Another downspout might help the issue or maybe just check to see if the gutter is level or draining properly - that might be the solution. Anyway I enjoyed my vacation and will probably stay again in July if the dates are still open... 7/11-15
The accommodations were great. Very comfortable and clean! Close to several access points on the lake. We had a great time. Looking forward to coming back.
