Our vacation rental offers a great vacation experience! Just a short stroll from The Islanders private beach access, complimentary seasonal beach service, pools, hot tubs, pickleball and tennis courts, and more!

Living Room: Relax in a beautifully decorated while on vacation that offers new sofas, stylish decor, and a large flat-screen TV. Enjoy relaxing to the sounds of the ocean, while overlooking leading directly to your private balcony with stunning views of view of Lake Christina and all the beautiful wildlife that calls this area home.

Fully Equipped Kitchen: Prepare meals with ease in a fully equipped kitchen featuring all the essentials for a convenient and enjoyable stay.

Bedrooms: The master bedroom includes a king bed, large TV, and blackout drapes for privacy, while the guest bedroom offers two twin beds, blackout drapes, and its own TV.

Complimentary Beach Service is provided from March 1 to Oct 31. As a guest at The Islander, you can enjoy (2) complimentary beach chairs and (1) umbrella, each day of your stay! (Valid for stays 14 days or less)

Amenities: At The Islander Resort in Destin, Florida, you can enjoy an active and fun-filled Destin vacation with access to two pools (1-Seasonally Heated), (4) pickleball courts, (2) tennis courts, a half basketball court, and two shuffleboard courts. Complimentary equipment is available for checkout at the front desk, making it easy to stay engaged during your stay.

Fitness Center & Grilling Area: The fitness center, conveniently located next to the lobby just a short stroll away! What a great way to keep up with your workout routine while you are on vacation in Destin. For those looking to savor the fresh catch of the day or grill some delicious burgers, the pavilion and gazebo are equipped with several charcoal grills for guest use.

Children Vacation Activities: During the summer season, we offer a variety of vacation activities for children, ensuring a memorable family vacation experience. Enjoy fun options like glitter tattoos, crafts, dive-in movie nights by the pool, beach painting sessions, and live music around the pool.

Onsite Laundry Room: Not all rentals include a washer and dryer. There are coin operated washer & dryers are located on premises!

VIP: As a bonus, As an Islander guests you receive discounts to many local excursions and restaurants, enhancing your experience in beautiful Destin.

Rules: For a comfortable stay, please note the following guidelines! Smoking is not allowed inside the units or on the patio; however, designated smoking areas are provided for your convenience. We kindly ask that no pets accompany you during your visit. Each unit accommodates a maximum of 6 guests to ensure everyone enjoys their space. An initial supply of paper towels, toiletries, and trash bags is included in the rental. Once these supplies are used, guests will need to restock for the remainder of their stay.

Only regret is not booking it longer!

Not an on the beach view but it really did have a great view! Perfect spot away from the busier areas of Destin.

Spectacular Vacation

The Islander is wonderful and inviting! We have stayed at the Islander for the past five family beach vacations and we have had excellent experiences. The staff is helpful and there are family activities scheduled Monday-Friday. Our unit was very clean and comfortable for the week. Highly recommend!

Our unit was outdated. The sinks did not drain well and the entire unit smelled moldy/musty. The designated beach area was small and crowded. No place to rinse off beach gear. Majority of view was another condo complex.

We definitely said that should we take the entire family again, we would book 2 condos as the atmosphere, location and cleanliness is always top notch! Our grandson's, along with us always feel at home!

Unit is Not platnuim or updated- dirty and dissapointing

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve been staying at different units at The Islander for 7+ years and have never been disappointed like were with this unit. The dishes were dirty when we arrived. Gross, with food on them. 3/4 of the dishes were dirty. Housekeeping and the manager came to address this, but really most of the dirty dishes were just put back into a different part of the pantry and some of the grossest coffee cups were removed. We had to still run 3 loads of dishes in order to have enough clean dishes for our stay. Every time I went into the cabinets to look for another dish to cook with or a bowl, I found more dirty dishes. The cabinets themselves were dirty on the inside as well.There were roaches crawling in the sink when we arrived. We counted 4. There were living in both sides of the drain. Unacceptable. If this was our first time here, we would have checked out and left. We appreciate the unit being treated on Monday, but we still had roaches crawling in the kids' bathroom and shower during our stay.The “platinum” unit is not anywhere near what we expected for this price point. There are multiple issues throughout the unit that “might” be tolerated at the lowest bronze price point, but not at this level. The property is not well maintained. As we reported at check-in, a chair in the main room has a broken leg. The “renovated” bathrooms and kitchen are patched, filled with bad paint jobs and poor repairs throughout. This unit states that it is recently renovated but it is a worn-out-looking unit.We love The Islander. We’ve been coming here for years for family trips. We are happy to pay for the higher-level property because it meets what we expect. We are glad the pool areas are still kept clean and up to par. We love this location, and the staff are great and friendly. We hope this unit is reviewed before staying on the Platinum list and the web description needs to b

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time staying at this location in Destin. The only issue I had was when I arrived, I found bags of dirty linen in the unit and the beds did not appear to be changed. I asked for the housekeeping service to come back, but it took multiple requests and 3 days for them to come back to change the linens. Otherwise, the front desk and general staff were excellent. Maggie was very friendly and informative. The arts and crafts were fun for the kids.
