Our stay was perfect!! The views were unbeatable and we fell in love with the intercoastal waterway. The house has everything you could need. Well stocked kitchen. You can just live on the back deck. We had gorgeous sunrises and wildlife everywhere. We saw dolphins and manatee and waterbirds galore. The boys loved exploring the water around the house. Finding hermit crabs, blue crabs, fish, shrimp you name it. Everyone we met in the camp was so friendly and helpful. We would love to come back.
We wanted water views and easy fishing and this property did not disappoint. The water views from the deck were amazing and we even had a dolphin and manatee come visit. We had access to two nice docks within walking distance to fish. Fabulous seafood restaurant within walking distance and loads of things to do within a short drive. Would absolutely recommend and canât wait to come back again. Christine was very receptive to our many questions and made excellent recommendations for things to do.
Nice home in a unique setting. Nice neighbors. Very convenient having the boat docked behind the house. Private boat ramp could use some work & itâs very tight. There is a public ramp down the road. Would highly recommend using it to launch your boat.
Clean place, a little tight with the neighbors but everyone was very nice and helpful. I would recommend sharing the public ramp info to the North with anyone who has a boat 15' . Launch is very difficult.
It would be difficult to list all the things I loved about this place. I have stayed here twice and will definitely stay again. Clean, safe, owners are very accommodating. Convenient to a lot of place to see. One of my favorite vacation spots!

We came to Florida for my dad's 90th birthday and wanted a place to stay with our adult children and grandson. We loved sitting on the back porch overlooking the water and watching the wildlife. The dolphins were especially cute! The only thing I was disappointed in was the lack of spices/oil etc. for cooking. Most of the places we've stayed in at least have a spice rack and some type of oil. Otherwise, it was great.
Go down to the keys a few times per year to fish. This is one of the best spots ive found, i will certainly be back. Perfect location to everything, good parking for trailer, good boat dock. Nice to have the small pool on a hot day after fishing.
We had an awesome time fishing for a few days. The hosts live nearby and were super friendly and helpful. There were new towels and pillows, tons of new cookware, and many recent upgrades/remodel work that looks like it happened recently. The beds were super comfortable and the neighbors were all very quiet and friendly.
Had an awesome long weekend at Red Drum for my father's 70th bday. All FL natives, this was paradise to us. My 22 yr old son forgot we were just a few miles from NSB...he said he felt like he was in the Keys. Kudos to the management of this house. I have been in rentals lately with no start up kitchen & bathroom supplies and fees for towels and linens! Very annoying...VRBO & host fees are getting to be as much or more than the rent! Much appreciated to have TP/Paper towels/hand & dish soap/hotel bathroom soaps/trash bags, etc. Kitchen is well appointed, no dishwasher but oversized sink & drainer basket & mat provided. K-cup & drip coffee maker. Everything is extremely well maintained on the property. Cold A/C. Enjoyed the lighted piers for night fishing. Electric & water on the pier. Lots of fun catching Ladyfish & Catfish. People were also shrimping at night. Lots of dolphins & manatees right off the back porch. We also saw puffer fish, tarpon and a stingray. Kayaks were great. The rental pontoon boat at the property is very nice. It was booked during our stay so be sure to inquire about it early if you want a convenient boat rental. I wasn't sure of our plans so I didn't book it, next time for sure. Lathrom's Fish Camp is local-yocal FL at its best. Be sure to check SpaceX & NASA for launches, you'll have a gorgeous view! The Falcon Heavy went up the night of my dad's bday...amazing! There were no bugs in the house. It's FL, bugs happen don't freak. Bring mosquito spray!
It right on the the water with a beautiful view, and a great porch. Great docks and you could have a boat right out front. But the neighbors are very close.
