Newly renovated and furnished home in Historic Lewes just a mile walk to beach!
This is not a typical rental property, this is a beautiful beach home that is only rented for 3 or 4 weeks in August because we love it so much! What's not to love? Once we park our car, we walk and bike everywhere: to restaurants and shops on second street (1/2 mile), the bay beach (1 mile) or Henlopen State Park beaches (3 miles). The house is also walking distance to Lloyds Grocery store (a life saver! Only 2 blocks) and our favorite places like the Station on Kings for coffee/lunch and the Brush Factory for local produce/gifts. We are just blocks from Stango Park (you can hear the Tuesday Evening Summer Concert Series from our home!). For the little ones, you can walk across the street to the new elementary school playground or cut through Blockhouse Pond to the Farmers Market on Saturday mornings (a must do) and enjoy a great park with bocce ball court.
This beach house is located on a quiet residential cul-de-sac, with two car parking in the driveway plus additional 2 cars on the street in front of the house. Bike rental and trail access is very close (2+ blocks!). The house is recently and fully renovated for a luxury experience, including hardwood floors throughout, whole-house Culligan water filtration system including reverse osmosis drinking water tap (bring your water bottles!) and brand new renters-only bedding. Most recently, we added two new Mitsubishi AC units upstairs for whole house comfort. The entire property was professionally landscaped with an enclosed backyard and patio for privacy (including a new propane grill and four Adirondack chairs). Our favorite feature of the house is the new outdoor shower which we use exclusively for most of the year!
This house has bright natural light with many windows and skylights, and a spacious open-concept layout with four comfortable gathering places: the living room (with 55" TV), dining room (seats 5-7), family room (with 50" TV), screened in porch with two sofas and a dining table (seats 8) for outdoor meals. There are three bedrooms downstairs (Q,Q & K) and two full bathrooms. Upstairs, there is one bedroom (Q) with adjoining full bathroom, and two twin beds in the loft. There is a kitchen island/bar that seats two for a quick coffee or cocktail.
Linens and one bath towel provided per guest. Beach towels provided upon request. Pet requests considered.
NOTE: We are looking to identify a handful of repeat renters, so if you love it, we'd love to have you back!
