Very nice resort

We spend a few days in the Carolinian and we enjoy it, it's family oriented and it's close from some attractions. The only bad thing is that we have to wait like an hour to get access to the room because it wasn't ready.

I loved and hated it....

I loved the partial view. I loved the deep shower. But there were alot of things I didn't like about this room. Balcony door hard to lock. Couldn't close the curtains all the way. The bathroom sink took too long to drain. It's a great hotel but I didn't care for the room I was in this time. It was clean......

Poor service

Internet wifi is not working proprely, cleaning is not available once a week, but most employees are nices . It’s been years that we rent condo , it’s might be the last one.

Beware 1735 Carolinian beach!

Where to begin… Musky mouldy smell EVERYWHERE Black moild on the ceilings Black mould under sink Black Mould on the curtains Black mould on the sofa bed Black mould in laundry room Kitchen cabinets finishing peeling off Plastic utencils burnt Only good thing was Vacasa management tried to address snd fix the problem. Impossible though - required a major clean-up and renovation. A really disapponting vacation. Owner - if you see this and want to discuss, Vacasa can share my number.

Overall good

The stay itself was great. Process leading there was horrible. I reserved, no confirmation. Was finally told to call host site, I called Vacasa after on hold for over an hour was hung up on. A call back lead to the hold being lifted and processed on their end. Again, no confirmation. I received emails from both sites processed and confirmed but no confirmation of stay. I called and was told it would come the day before (I reserved just two days before the stay), called and told the morning of, I then used the text option and was told three to the stay again nothing. I called and the rep had no record of any prior communication and had to do the verification process again finally getting emails for the stay confirmation after four calls, emails, and texts. As for the stay. It was great. The room was clean though the bathtub could have been wiped down and main floor mopped. I always take disinfecting wipes so I took care of that. The location was near restaurants, and stores if needed (ice cream!), our room stayed partial ocean/beach but it was a great view and not obstructed for the angle, we had an issue with the tv and someone was sent up immediately to take care of it, the free breakfast was liked by all, we took advantage of the free miniature golf as well, we only had a three day stay so we didn’t need it but it seemed the kitchen was stocked with dishes, there was a small washer/dryer to wash bath/shower towels which was helpful. Overall good stay, and would stay again.

This condo had mold in the living area and was dirty. The air did not work in the bedroom. You had to walk two blocks to get to the sketchy parking garage that was not well lit. It is NOT safe. We were unable to get relocated due to no availability. It was too much money for what we got. We are all congested and stuffy now from the mold.

Carolinian Myrtle Beach 1735

Nice location. Clean. Staff extremely polite and helpful. Staff responded quickly to requests. Loved the free breakfast but found it was best to get it to go so there was no waiting. Nice having washing machine and dryer in room. On the downside there seemed to be a moisture problem in the room. Even very lightweight clothing that was hang dry would not dry. Vitamins we brought got moisture after sitting in the room and had to be discarded and there were some moldy spots on the curtains. This did not seem normal. Also the bedroom tv was not working properly. The picture was distorted so that it looked like bugs were crawling on the picture. This mysteriously stopped the last night. Was not stocked with ample towels or sheets for the sofa sleeper but staff responded quickly when notified about the problems. Very sparse as far as utensils and cookware. And the water pressure was very low which made getting all of the sand out of my very thick hair after swimming in the ocean quite difficult. Kind of a downer since on vacation I really like a place with a great shower so this was a huge disappointment.
