We absolutely loved the Brick Pony Penthouse! My husband and I were in town to watch our daughter's ski races at Aspen Highlands. Basalt is a short 25 minute drive to Aspen, but in a quieter town that we loved. We enjoyed many of the local restaurants all within walking distance, including the Brick Pony Pub right downstairs. The apartment was spacious for the two of us and we enjoyed the large living and dining space. The bed was very comfortable and the entire apartment was clean and well appointed. The heated parking garage was a short walk across the street and quite convenient.Stacey was extremely responsive to any requests we had and was a pleasure to work with. We would definitely stay again!
This has to be one of the best hidden gems in Colorado! I first stayed here a few years ago, and it has become a regular go to for ski trips for me and members of my family. A must try for sure!
Great location in downtown, close to everything. Property had a nice downtown, loft-meets historic building vibe. Everyone is friendly in this town. Roomy living room, easy access kitchen and a big master bathroom too. Great Stay
Beautiful penthouse in the middle of historic Basalt. A great space very well equipped with everything you could ever need. Awesome location, close to many great food options and just a short drive away from the ski slopes. We already want to plan our next visit!
Great condo, stayed here with 3 other friends for 4 nights. Comfortable beds. Loft style w exposed brick gave it really cool feel and the plush leather couch/chairs were very comfortable after a day of skiing. Right in old town Basalt, you are right above the Brick Pony Pub. So you will likely be able to enjoy their live music in the evening. Heated garage parking was a plus, would definitely stay here again.
The place is beautiful and very well equipped for cooking/enjoying the stay. We loved it, just a couple things folks should know.
It is directly above a bar, which you can hear until 10 or 11. They say you can call them after 10 of it's too loud but who wants to have to do that. The bedroom windows also appear to open to the bars deck. We were there in the winter so it wasn't an issue but if patrons are out there in the summer it would be.
2. The parking is a block away. Not a big deal but worth knowing.
3. For some really odd reason the management company makes you leave a check for the cleaners. So the cost you see on vrbo isn't the real total. They should really include it in the vrbo quote and pay the cleaners themselves (I didn't see there now until afterwards and wasn't happy with the surprise cost and chore of paying them myself).
Fantastic place to stay! Comes with everything you might need and comfy beds to boot. Thereâs several delicious restaurants/cafes within walking distance and the ski slopes are just a short drive away. Will definitely be trying to stay here again for our next trip out here!
We had a wonderful time! Place is perfect. The bunk beds are as described not for young kids or older peoples- teens and young adults:).
Just wonderful and Stacy couldnât have been more responsive!!
This place is a definite âMust Stayâ. If you happen to be in the Aspen/Basalt area and looking for a place to stay, this is it. It has all the feels of a small-town historic building (because it is) & yet has all the updated amenities one could ask for. The space is amazing. The whole unit is very well kept. Beds were so comfortable, and linens very fresh. We are a family of 4, our youngest being 17, and this place was perfect for us.
I will say that if you have mobility issues or canât do stairs this, unfortunately, will not be the place for you. The check-in & check-out times seemed extreme, but Stacey was totally willing to work with us on those too.
Stacey is a gem & gave us lots of information on places to go and things to do. She is super easy to work with & very accommodating.
We are so happy we found this place & canât wait to stay here again.
Really nice place on the main strip in Basalt with several great restaurants and cafes nearby. Very convenient distance from Aspen & Snowmass too. Really enjoyable place to hang after a long ski day. Comfortablly sleeps 6. Only one shower though so be careful not to use all the hot water!
